On May 5 Naturno invites you again to the South Tyrolean Bacon Day. n the villages of Vilpian, Siebeneich and Terlan asparagus has been grown for centuries. Today 15 asparagus growers in Terlan plant approx. 10 ha of high quality asparagus and sell it under the trade mark and hallmark of excellence Margarete. The elegant looking and extremely mild tasting Terlan asparagus is very popular with the connoisseurs of this white spring vegetable. In April and May several restaurants invite visitors to enjoy classic and creative asparagus dishes made with the valuable Margarete asparagus. Fresh asparagus with home-cured ham, boiled potatoes and Bozner sauce is one of the classics. The meal is accompanied by the fine, mineral containing Terlano “asparagus wine” (Sauvignon) from the Terlan winery.

We’ll not only tell you all about Neustift winegrowing but also serve you its products. The tour of the vineyards together with the following wine tasting takes about 90 minutes in all. Bees - so small and yet so important for our planet. They are among the most important pollinators in the world and contribute to the preservation of wild and cultivated plants. Learn everything about the life of the bee under expert guidance. Our beekeeper Roland will explain to you how the bee builds its combs and how the honey gets from the blossom to the jar. You will also learn which products can be made from honey. After the tour, you can taste some honey. We will guide you through our Gothic wine cellar and take a short tour of the vineyard just behind the cellar. We will give you an insight into the history of the farm and our passion for wine, gardens, art and cuisine, ending with a tasting of 6 wines from our range. The tour of the gardens with the art exhibition is included.

Amidst vineyards overlooking Lake Kaltern, the Sinn family is producing organic wines since 2013. The wines are vinified in wooden and steel barrels as well as in clay amphorae. The guided tours start with a short tour of the vineyard and an explanation of the work throughout the year, follows a visit to the new wine cellar and a tasting of the wines with a snack. The private distillery "Wezl" in Riffian/Rifiano has been around since 2012. Jochen Kofler produces over 20 varieties of grappa and fruit brandies with much love and skill. Multiple awards at the Destillata, including "Edelbrand of the Year 2016" for Grappa Merlot. Named "Italy's national winner" and "Distillery of the highest quality" in 2019. Jochen invites you to visit of the private distillery "Wezl", where he explains how the fine brandies are distilled and they are tasted with delicious chocolate.
