Discover the Alto Adige Wine Road in autumn
The arrival of autumn marks the beginning of the grape harvest. Rolling hills are yellow-tinged and the warm hues of the season between Nals/Nalles and Salorno/Salurn envelop you. The autochthonous Vernatsch and Lagrein and the local Gewürztraminer are major grape varieties in this area. The Alto Adige Wine Road passes through 15 local villages and the wine town of bolzano, where wine shapes the landscape and daily life: in wine farms, castles and historic residences surrounded by cultivated vineyards.
From the 18th of October to the 2nd of November 2024, local wines, the stories behind their production and great music will be the protagonists of the second edition of WineSounds on the Alto Adige Wine Road.
The ingredients are all there for a spectacular autumn in the castles and manors of the Alto Adige Wine Road. Several prestigious concerts, combined with the excellent wines of this territory, will be held in the ancient walls of the towns that unfold on one of Europe's most beautiful wine routes. The audience of the appendant concerts will be offered the musical performance and the chance to taste and enjoy a beautiful selection of wines in unique locations.
Experience the diversity of the Alto Adige Wine Road also at the partner events of WineSounds, the tenth edition of Castelmusika in Eppan/Appiano on the 20th of October and at the Kaltern Pop Festival, which takes place in Kaltern at the lake from 24th to 26th of October.
