On the Haideralm Trail the trails of the 3-Country region shows there full power and technical level. This trail is the most difficult trail. With the necessary bike-driving skills and technical knowledge the Haideralm Trail is a real big hit for all Enduro-fans.
The Moosbühel variant of the route leads between the Rendenbühl and Tisenser Bühel hills, and offers a shorter version of the traditional Tagusens loop route. The trail is relatively flat and leads mainly through woodland.
Before setting off on this tour, it is legitimate to think about the delicious Kaiserschmarren at the Rescher Alm. Follow the cycle path along the lakeshore from Reschen towards the Schöneben valley station. From the valley station, cycle uphill on the main road, in the direction of Rojen and then in the direction of St. Valentin to the hamlet of Spin. Shortly after the Spin's farm, take a sharp right onto the forest and meadow path. In the forest, follow the way north above lake Resia and the Rojen road past a small forest lake (1,850 m). Follow the forest road, meet the Rojen road a little later and follow it to the trendy Rescher Alm hut. Here, at an altitude of 2,000 m, with a splendid view from the terrace, enjoy one of the best lunches. From the Rescher Alm alpine hut, continue north along the forest road, down to Tenders, where the Tendershof farmhouse invites for refreshments. From here, it is not far to the final destination: Reschen.
Tip: For enduro enthusiasts: there is the option of rocking down via the 3-Länder Trail in the direction of Nauders to the Mutzkopf. From Mutzkopf, take one of the trails to Nauders.
This wonderful tour starts in Reschen on the cycle path towards Graun. Shortly before the gravel cycle path along the Reschensee lake meets the narrowed section and the cycle and footpath leading above the lake, turn left onto the main road crossing the Arlund farm to Klopair. Here begins the first ascent. Before taking the Almweg 5A towards Plamort, cycle on asphalt until just before the meadows and farms of Klopair and then steer towards Grauner Berg. Follow the trail with great views and panoramas past the Grauner Kopf Alm (2,215 m) to the Rossbodenalm alpine pasture, a shepherd's alpine pasture, at 2,364 m. With a gradient of up 18%, ascent on gravel and grass from the alpine pasture and get an amazing view of Resia Lake. Downhill, trail lovers can either take the same forest road as the ascent or return to Graun via trail no. 5.
Trail no. 5 is technically demanding (trail S1-S2) past the panoramic resting place next to the small chapel to Graun. After a cozy stop for refreshments, it's a leisurely ride back along the lake to Reschen. This tour is also often taken as a bike & hike tour, with a hike to the Klopairer Spitze (2,914 m - approx. two hours walk).
Start at the dam wall of the Reschensee at 1,500 m, cross it, and at Innerkaschon take the old Rojen road in the direction of Schöneben. After about 8 kilometres of pedaling uphill on the old asphalt road, reach the Schönebenhütte and take a break. After the short refreshment, take the asphalt road under the hut in the direction of Rojen and ride out of the valley to the car park of the Rescher Alm alpine hut near the "Kopfer" bridge. Turn left and ride slightly uphill to the Rescher Alm alpine hut, where you can have a second stop. As a reward for the effort enjoy a large variety of regional products and an enchanting view of Lake Reschen. Continue north to the Tendershof, a well-run tavern. The descent leads through the middle of a larch and spruce forest past Tendershof to the Vinschger cycle path before Reschen. From Reschen follow the cycle path orographically left to Graun to the historic church tower in the lake back to the starting point on the dam wall of Lake Reschen.
The starting point of this partially newly created trail is the historic Bunker high above the lake lago di Resia. Whoever finds time should definitely take a photo here with the lago di Resia in the background. The Bunker Trail is the main link to the south and brings the biker to the entrance of the Adige River Trails who continues to Resia.
The Adige Trail can be reached just above the Resia and is named after the river in Italy, which springs right next start. He is also the continuation of the bunker trails and leads down to the village Resia and the lake lago di Resia. It is a lightweight, highly flow trail which makes you want more.
The 3 Country Trail is the classical of our 3 Country Enduro Trail. The starting point of this scenic delight is Italy. We continue through Austria, passing picturesque mountain lakes until we finally find ourselves in Switzerland.
The route runs along the slopes of the towering Hammerwand and Tschafon, giving bikers an extra challenge if you still have some energy left after the Schnaggenkreuz route.
The Spin Trail leads the bikers through the lonely mountain world at the 3-Länder Eck and leads along the slope towards the south. The Reschensee to the left flashes again and again through the woods and suddenly it is clear: here I am right! The Upper Spin Trail leads to the Schneider junction. From here it's either back to the Schöneben Bahn or further south to the Haideralm.
Nestled between the Endkopf "Jaggl" (2,627 m) and Pleisköpfl (2,425 m) lies the destination, the Grauner Alm alpine pasture, at 2,173 m. Start the tour in Graun at 1,500 m. For a quick warm up, follow the road into the Langtauferer valley. After 250 m, turn right over the bridge and pedal up through the shady Arluiwald forest on a mainly pleasant incline on the alpine path to the Grauner Alm alpine pasture. There is a possibility to park your mountain bike at the mountain pasture and continue on foot via hiking trail no. 10 to the summit of the Endkopf (2,652 m). Duration of hike: approx. 2.5 hours (ascent and descent). On the hiking path to the peak, it's possible to spot some rare edelweiss flowers and marmots. Lying in the grass on the slope, enjoy the sensational panorama and head back down to the valley via the alpine path to stop by the village for a good meal.
