The music bands of the valley have maintained our valuable tradition for decades. They play an important role in the social life of the village and give many young people the opportunity to discover and develop their musical talents. This evening, Badia music band will perform for its spring concert. During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. The footage may be used and published on websites, on social networks and on media in compliance with the data protection regulations.

The colourful fruit that blossoms and ripens everywhere here is legendary, healthy and of symbolic significance for our high plateau. The guided apple hike includes an educational excursion to the apple trees that line the path everywhere here, as well as a film presentation and, of course, apple tasting! Our certified apple ambassador answers all questions and serves up exciting facts about apple growing. Every year in Spring, Brixen is the venue for the Water Light Festival. From 24 April to 12 May, the sixth edition of the Water Light Festival will take place at nightfall in the town of Brixen and during the day in the Neustift monastery (until 29th of June 2024). Once again, this year, artists from all over the world will bring their creative ideas to South Tyrol. The Water Light Festival combines light art, contemporary art and environmental awareness. The aim is to create awareness and sensitivity and to encourage reflection. The installations combine creativity, visual illusions, lyrical elements and stimulate reflection. The focus is on the elements of water and light. For the first time, the Bücherwelten exhibition is coming to Museum Ladin. The focus of this year's edition of Bücherwelten "Bildhaft gesagt” (pictorially told) draws attention to a special kind of bookmaking: in many books, the image is not simply a visual complement to the text, but image and text form an inseparable unit in the communication of factual, scientific or narrative content. On this theme, the Museum Ladin Ciastel de Tor will be showing a selection of award-winning works from 2023, new books for children and young people, a Bookstart corner and a selection of Ladin books.

After first getting to know each other, starting from the animals’ winter quarters in Laces, with the llamas on a leash we walk through the surrounding apple meadows and along a serpentine path up to the castle ruins of Untermontani with a wonderful view over the entire central Vinschgau Valley. Continuing towards Obermontani Castle at the entrance to the Martell Valley, we may walk in the footsteps of our medieval ancestors and listen to the stories of our Llamero Florian before taking a rest at the castle. Florian will not only tell you everything about the llamas, but also about the historically significant surroundings. On an old Waalweg (irrigation channel) we then cross the woods above Laces with our cuddly four-legged friends that leads us to the sunny plateau of the Magrinböden. From there we descend via a forest path to the Bierkeller (refreshments possible), before returning to the starting point. If desired, a shorter route is also possible via Saint Stephen's Chapel (14th century - most extensive Gothic fresco cycle in Tyrol) or just through the surrounding meadows! The tour is especially beautiful during the blossoming time of the apple trees! Difference in altitude: approx. 100m Duration: approx. 3 hours (a shorter tour is also possible on request) Suitable for children from 4-5 years, smaller children should be accompanied by another person when leading an animal. From the village square, we walk along the "Mitterweg" with our hiking guide Diego. Past the culture house, the trail leads through green meadows to Tanurza. We pass through some small groves with ditches (small Kneipp area) and reach, slightly uphill Tanurza (1182 m). From Tanurza we return to Laion via the mail trail, marked P. Along the way, nature and landscape guide and herb expert Diego Deiana will introduce you to the world of herbs. During the hike we will learn about the plants, discover their healing properties and how they can be used in cooking. 03 May - 09 June 2024 It is not an easy topic, but it is all the more important: the group of works ‘Drawing against forgetting’ by Austrian artist Manfred Bockelmann shows charcoal portraits of children and young people who were victims of National Socialist terror. With this series, Bockelmann wants to ‘bring the children back from the darkness’. He succeeds in doing so in a haunting way. The exhibition takes place in the building of ‘Emmas Bistro’ and marks the beginning of the series of events to mark the anniversary. Ready to take a trip into the past? 280 million years ago, a supervolcano dominated the center of the present-day Trentino-Alto Adige region. Mighty porphyry deposits still testify to its activity, while other rock layers interspersed tell of periods of calm, during which plants and animals settled. Some of them left deep traces. Using fossils, animal models and a simulation of the supervolcano, we will bring this lost world to life. Starting March 17 at the South Tyrol Museum of Nature.

The Bee Trail in Trens Freienfeld is a varied and educational themed hike for the whole family. On this peaceful and adventurous walk, you'll learn all sorts of interesting facts about bees, the creation, and processing of honey, and other bee products such as beeswax, pollen, propolis, and more. At the exploration and observation beehive, you can explore the inner workings of a beehive and learn about the processing of honey and other honey products. Possible with stroller; no risk of bee stings. Tasting of honey at the observation beehive is seasonal. Afterwards, there will be a small tasting at the Hotel Post in Trens. The starting and ending point of this interesting and panoramic circular hike is the village of Welsberg/Monguelfo (1,087m), which we reach sustainably in a short, pleasant train ride. First, we walk through the charming village center until we reach the entrance of the panoramic path. You walk in a magnificent natural landscape on the sunny side of Welsberg/Monguelfo, with a constant view of the Dolomites, the striking Dürrenstein and "Mister Kronplatz". Passing farms, you reach the fascinating, mystical Taisten Legend Trail (1,330m). Sculptures made of wood and a far-reaching view accompany us on this adventure hiking trail to the beautiful sunny village of Taisten/Tesido (1,200m), situated on a wonderful sun terrace between mountain and valley. At Tholerhof, both young and old, have the opportunity to gain their first riding experiences and get a feel for sitting in the saddle of these fascinating and powerful Haflinger horses and Shetland ponies. After riding, children can help with grooming and taking care of the horses. For more experienced riders, Tholerhof offers great rides in the forest around Aschbach. From high up on the horse, you'll see the surroundings from a more impressive perspective.
