The Oswald von Wolkenstein trail is a loop trail that leads past the ruins of Salegg and Hauenstein, and features 15 stations where you can stop and play. There’s a lot to discover along this tour, including a knight’s table, a knight‘s sword and mystical animals.
This hiking tour can be found in the family hiking booklet “Out and About with Nix the Witch”.
From the access road to the valley station of the Seiser Alm Aerial Cableway, an asphalt road branches off towards Salegg. Take a sharp left here and make your way up to Oswald von Wolkenstein trail (no. 3). It winds through the Hauenstein forest, past the Salegg and Hauenstein ruins.
During the hike you can take on the role of a page, a lady in waiting, the lord or mistress of the castle and experience the era of knights and dragons. Following the stations of the family-friendly theme trail you will get back to the starting point.
Refreshment stop at the starting point of the tour. Not pram-friendly.
