    47th Cross Country Ski Race Dobbiaco-Cortina

    The magic of the Granfondo Dobbiaco-Cortina, which is ready to take flight for its 48th edition on the weekend of 1 and 2 February 2025, does not stop. The Granfondo Dobbiaco-Cortina is one of the most traditional and popular long-distance cross-country ski races, capable with its enchanting tracks to immerse the fans of narrow skis in the magnificent environmental context of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites of Alta Pusteria and the Ampezzo peaks. The dates for the 2025 edition have been confirmed for the first weekend in February, with the event re-proposing the beloved format: on Saturday 1 February, classic technique enthusiasts will open the dances of the Dobbiaco-Cortina with the 42 km TC, while on Sunday 2 February, free technique lovers will be able to unleash their energy on the 35 km course.     Moonlight Classic - cross country race by night Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm is a cross-country-skiing race on the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi / South Tyrol / Italy. The distances are 15 and 30 km,the classic diagonal style only is allowed. We promote young talents, support us! For every registration, the Moonlight Classic organisation committee donates one Euro, which will be doubled by a sponsor, to the South Tyrolean Sports Aid in order to support the young athlethes.

    Gran Fondo Val Casies - Gsieser Tal Lauf

    The Gsiesertal Lauf is one of the best-known and best-loved ski marathons in the entire Alpine region. It is the second largest ski marathon in Italy, and is held on the 3rd weekend in February in the Val Casies Valley, South Tyrol (Italy). Ever since it was first held back in 1984, this race has never once been cancelled due to weather conditions. In 2021, the event was cancelled for reasons of force majeure (Corona). The event attracts a great deal of international skiers, with a good forty nations at the starting line every year and a great many World and Olympic Champions listed on the roll of honour. The race runs along two routes, one of 30 km and one of 42 km; the classic race is held on Saturday and the skating race on Sunday. The amateur “Just for Fun” group. with none of the stress of rankings and timekeeping, is also extremely popular, and the programme of events also includes the “Gsiesertal KIDS Run” on Saturday.     The Soirées at Tyrol Castle are held every year in June and July, on five Thursdays. Now for the 35th year, top international ensembles give impressive concerts in the Great Hall of Tyrol Castle, presenting music from different countries and cultures.     The festival for the whole family! For the 18th time in 2025, Schluderns will be the ideal setting for the South Tyrolean Knights' Festival. In the historical ambience of Churburg Castle, Lichtenberg Castle ruins, Fürstenburg Castle and Marienberg Monastery, spectacular show battles will keep the spectators in suspense from 22 to 24 August 2025. Come along on a journey to the Middle Ages! Proud knights take aim at their opponents. They dash into battle on their elegant horses, lances burst, armour clatters, the noble lords crown their victor. The crowd cheers and marvels at all kinds of exotic and curious things. 2,000 performers from 11 countries offer the most extensive programme in the Alpine region! All attractions on the grounds are free of charge: Shows, camel and donkey rides, archery, children's tournaments, petting zoo, carousels, children's entertainment.

    Stelvio Bike Day

    1,869 metres in altitude, 48 hairpin bends and an incredible all-round panorama await cyclists who get into the saddle at the Stilfserjoch Bike Day. Every year, the legendary pass road on the Stilfserjoch - one of the highest passable Alpine crossings - is closed to traffic for one day and only opened to "two-wheelers" and pedestrians. A starting point for the Stilfserjoch cycling day is in Prad am Stilfserjoch or also in Spondinig. On this popular cycling day, the aim is to conquer one of the highest Alpine crossings, the 2,760-metre-high Stifserjoch. Not a bike race, but: Being there is everything! Lowest point (START): Prad am Stilfserjoch (910 metres) Highest point (FINISH): Stilfser Joch Pass (2,758 metres) Distance Prad – Stilfser Joch: 24.96 km Difference in altitude Prad – Stilfser Joch: 1,848 metres Maximum ascent: 15% Average ascent: 9–11% Safety and road closures: The road closure for motorised vehicles (except e-bikes) applies from TRAFOI to the top of the Stelvio Pass (BZ) from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. The same closure applies from Bormio to the top of the pass (LO) and on the Siusi side, the Umbrail Pass! Helmets are compulsory for your own safety. Being there is everything! You do not need to register for the start in Prad to take part in the Stelvio Cycling Day. There is no mass start! Everyone starts for themselves. The best start time in Prad is from 6.30 am to 10.30 am. Various car parks in Prad and the surrounding area.
