From the Ladin Museum we set off together to discover SMACH Val dl'Ert (Art Valley), an open-air sculpture park which in 2023 has one of the special mentions in the National Landscape Award sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Culture. Along the path you will see more than 25 works of art set in an alpine forest, among the fir trees and pastures of a stretch of unspoilt nature. This is a permanent exhibition of sculptures acquired as a result of the SMACH art competition, the Dolomites Biennale. After the guided tour in the Val dl’Ert you can independently visit the Ladin Museum where you can immerse yourself in the history, culture and traditions of the Ladin people. Mulled wine is Christmas in the glass. Especially at Christmas time, when the spicy taste of the mulled wine warms hands, body and heart and lets you enjoy the festive atmosphere even more.

The Christmas market in Corvara comes alive with live music, where local artists delight us with sweet Christmas melodies. What a charming atmosphere! It’s the perfect moment to sip a warm mulled wine or apple mix while exploring the handcrafted products and letting the magic of the holiday tunes music you.

As you stroll through the small wooden huts, glowing with warm lights and festively decorated, you’ll be enveloped by an inviting atmosphere. The scent of hot mulled wine and delicious treats invites you to pause and enjoy the magic of the holiday season. Each hut offers unique handmade treasures that showcase the craftsmanship of local artisans. A highlight of the market is the impressive life-sized nativity scene, lovingly carved by the sculptor Leo Moroder. Every year, new figures are added, making this artwork a vibrant symbol of the most beautiful Christmas traditions. And when live music fills the air between the snow-covered huts, the market becomes even more enchanting. On certain evenings, concerts create a truly special festive atmosphere. Last year, for every cup of mulled wine sold, €1.00 was donated to Aiüt Alpin Dolomites, raising a total of €3,000 in support of the valuable work of the mountain rescue team. One of the most magical and eagerly awaited traditions of the Christmas season is the arrival of St. Nicholas. He is a wise and kind old man and brings light and warmth during this festive season. Today he awaits you, accompanied by his little angels, to give you a small gift. After the arrival of Saint Nicholas, there will also be the opportunity to enjoy a warming mulled wine or a hot tea.

In the chilly December air, the village glows in celebration of St. Nicholas's arrival. Families gather while children eagerly await the festivities. St. Nicholas, clad in his splendid red cloak, arrives accompanied by angels carrying sacks of sweets. As he distributes gifts to the children, he creates an atmosphere of joy and enchantment. Our local farmers from La Val delight everyone with traditional Ladin specialities, transforming the evening into a warm and festive celebration of community.

Every year, on the church square, memories and customs are renewed, such as the visit of Saint Nicholas, who at 5.30 p.m. visits the children on the church square bringing candies and sweets. An event that opens the culinary winter season in Alta Badia: an itinerant journey on skis from hut to hut, where guests can savor the exclusive creations of five Michelin-starred chefs. Some of the chefs from the Skiing with Taste project will be present in person, offering the chance to meet them along the way. Each dish will be paired with a refined selection of South Tyrolean wines, making the day an unforgettable celebration of flavors and mountain atmosphere. An afternoon on skis from hut to hut accompanied by an expert sommelier and a ski instructor. Wine tasting in the huts with explanation of the properties of the best Alto Adige wines. Sommelier André Senoner began his journey in the world of wine at the three-Michelin-starred St. Hubertus in San Cassiano, where he honed his craft as a sommelier. Along the way, he collected prestigious accolades, including Master Pinot Noir 2021 and Italy’s Best Sommelier 2022 by Vinoway. TWO RACES, ONE UNIQUE EVENT From December 20th to 22nd, the Ski World Cup returns to Alta Badia. Elite competitors will once again show their talent on the slopes with an adrenaline-fueled exhibition of skiing excellence. The difference between legend and also-ran can be a fraction of a second. And you will get to live and breathe every moment. Share the excitement with other enthusiasts as the competitors cross the finish line, where every last curve is the ultimate test of nerve. Once more, in this 40th edition, the world's best ski racers will battle on one of the most difficult tracks in the white circus. The unmissable spectacle of the men’s giant slalom taking place on the Gran Risa, in the heart of the spectacular Dolomite mountains. From Alberto Tomba to Bode Miller and Marcel Hirscher, there are many champions who have triumphed on this track, which is one of the hardest slopes in the world.

Unspoilt ski slopes, majestic mountain scenery and an excellent breakfast with healthy regionally-sourced ingredients. Each participating refuge will be paired with a breakfast staple such as milk, cereal, eggs or fruit. To ensure the highest quality, the breakfast composition is created with the support of Elena Casiraghi, sports nutrition expert - Equipe Enervit.

Concert of sacral and classical music with the string ensemble from Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto conducted by Guido Freschi. The string ensemble is a musical group made up of established concert performers. The varying number of members, led by first violinist Guido Freschi, in the dual role of soloist and conductor, allows for a wide-ranging exploration of contemporary musical literature.

Experience the magic of Christmas with a special concert in the church of Badia. The brass ensemble Bozen Brass will take you on a unique musical journey, together with the beautiful voice of soloist Clara Sattler. Let the music and festive atmosphere enchant you. Entrance is free.
