The arrival of St Nicholas takes on a special charm among children and is part of our traditions during the Christmas season. Our children await St Nicholas who will bring them a sweet surprise.

The Christmas market in Corvara comes alive with live music, where local artists delight us with sweet Christmas melodies.

What a charming atmosphere! It’s the perfect moment to sip a warm mulled wine or apple mix while exploring the handcrafted products and letting the magic of the holiday tunes music you.

Mulled wine is Christmas in the glass. Especially at Christmas time, when the spicy taste of the mulled wine warms hands, body and heart and lets you enjoy the festive atmosphere even more.

As you stroll through the small wooden huts, glowing with warm lights and festively decorated, you’ll be enveloped by an inviting atmosphere. The scent of hot mulled wine and delicious treats invites you to pause and enjoy the magic of the holiday season. Each hut offers unique handmade treasures that showcase the craftsmanship of local artisans.

A highlight of the market is the impressive life-sized nativity scene, lovingly carved by the sculptor Leo Moroder. Every year, new figures are added, making this artwork a vibrant symbol of the most beautiful Christmas traditions.

And when live music fills the air between the snow-covered huts, the market becomes even more enchanting. On certain evenings, concerts create a truly special festive atmosphere.

Last year, for every cup of mulled wine sold, €1.00 was donated to Aiüt Alpin Dolomites, raising a total of €3,000 in support of the valuable work of the mountain rescue team.
This year, the initiative continues, with the proceeds being donated to another local association, sharing the magic of Christmas through solidarity.

One of the most magical and eagerly awaited traditions of the Christmas season is the arrival of St. Nicholas. He is a wise and kind old man and brings light and warmth during this festive season. Today he awaits you, accompanied by his little angels, to give you a small gift. After the arrival of Saint Nicholas, there will also be the opportunity to enjoy a warming mulled wine or a hot tea.

In the chilly December air, the village glows in celebration of St. Nicholas's arrival. Families gather while children eagerly await the festivities. St. Nicholas, clad in his splendid red cloak, arrives accompanied by angels carrying sacks of sweets. As he distributes gifts to the children, he creates an atmosphere of joy and enchantment. Our local farmers from La Val delight everyone with traditional Ladin specialities, transforming the evening into a warm and festive celebration of community.

In Colfosco there is already a special Christmas atmosphere in the air from the beginning of December. The village is decorated with lights and Christmas ornaments. The church square with the majestic Sella Group as a backdrop is particularly impressive: a landscape straight out of a picture book. Every year, on the church square, memories and customs are renewed, such as the visit of Saint Nicholas, who at 5.30 p.m. visits the children on the church square bringing candies and sweets. Enjoy the magic of Christmas and discover our traditions in the small Christmas village in the centre of San Cassiano. Our traditional "üties" offer local specialties and handmade products, all provided by the artisans and community associations of the village. Be charmed by the special atmosphere, the music, the fragrances and the warm welcome!

An intermediate-level guided e-bike tour starting from the Colfosco Ski school, descending towards La Villa along the river, and then continuing along the river, from La Villa up to Armentarola. The return journey follows the same route. The route, ideal even in winter thanks to the bikes' electric assistance, equipped with studded tires, offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped Dolomites, where you can escape from everyday life and admire a fairytale landscape. After a brief stop at the Cross-country skiing centre Alta Badia bar to enjoy a hot chocolate with friends, the tour returns to Colfosco. The route is suitable for cyclists with some experience and good cycling skills, with moderate climbs and fun descents, all surrounded by the charm of winter nature.

The women’s choir Kèrygma invites you on a musical journey featuring traditional and contemporary songs, together with other local groups who will enrich the evening with their voices and music: the brass ensemble Turmbläser Badia, a girls’ choir of the music school and Jakob Senoner on the accordion. An event that opens the culinary winter season in Alta Badia: an itinerant journey on skis from hut to hut, where guests can savor the exclusive creations of five Michelin-starred chefs. An afternoon on skis from hut to hut accompanied by an expert sommelier and a ski instructor. Wine tasting in the huts with explanation of the properties of the best Alto Adige wines. TWO RACES, ONE UNIQUE EVENT From December 20th to 22nd, the Ski World Cup returns to Alta Badia. Elite competitors will once again show their talent on the slopes with an adrenaline-fueled exhibition of skiing excellence. The difference between legend and also-ran can be a fraction of a second. And you will get to live and breathe every moment. Share the excitement with other enthusiasts as the competitors cross the finish line, where every last curve is the ultimate test of nerve. Once more, in this 40th edition, the world's best ski racers will battle on one of the most difficult tracks in the white circus. The unmissable spectacle of the men’s giant slalom taking place on the Gran Risa, in the heart of the spectacular Dolomite mountains. From Alberto Tomba to Bode Miller and Marcel Hirscher, there are many champions who have triumphed on this track, which is one of the hardest slopes in the world.

Concert of sacral and classical music with the string ensemble from Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto conducted by Guido Freschi. The string ensemble is a musical group made up of established concert performers. The varying number of members, led by first violinist Guido Freschi, in the dual role of soloist and conductor, allows for a wide-ranging exploration of contemporary musical literature.

Experience the magic of Christmas with a special concert in the church of Badia. The brass ensemble Bozen Brass will take you on a unique musical journey, together with the beautiful voice of soloist Clara Sattler. Let the music and festive atmosphere enchant you. Entrance is free.

Join us to celebrate the end of the year with an unforgettable event that has become a true tradition! The festivities in Colfosco will begin at 4:30 pm with a magical children’s torchlit descent – if you’d like to join, sign up at the Colfosco Ski School – followed at 5:00 pm by the impressive torchlight procession of the instructors from the Colfosco Ski School. The atmosphere will be enlivened by a DJ, and the Colfosco Fire Brigade will add even more cheer with a lottery and plenty of fun. Starting at 6:00 pm, get ready for a unique experience: a laser show will come to life, with colorful beams of light creating shapes and light displays, transforming the surroundings into an immersive and magical wonderland. Celebrate the arrival of the new year with us!

Take part in the traditional torchlight descent together with the ski instructors of the San Cassiano Ski School. It will be a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of skiing down the snow with torches, creating an enchanting atmosphere. The Piz Sorega cable car will be open until 5 p.m. and to make this evening even more special, we are waiting for you with a warm welcome at the Piz Sorega refuge with a hot soup to help warm you up before the exciting descent.
