20th October from 9 am to 5 pm The Organic Festival will take place on the open air festival area Algund. The South Tyrolean Health Promotion Association and the Union of Alternative Farmers. Organic products (fruit, vegetables, herbs, infusions, wine, juices, bread, etc.), wholemeal dishes and entertainment for adults and children await you. In addition to a large offer of organic products, there will also be lectures with various speakers.

With the Village market the village bridge is transformed into a culinary and artisanal treasure trove and invites you to discover, enjoy and taste. Several producers from the Passeiertal Valley present their exquisite products that make the heart of every market lover beat faster.

An afternoon full of sound and conviviality. The music group "Hou" provides the musical entertainment.

Discover the train station! The entertainment train station at Naturno/Stava is the old train station of the Val Senales. It shows an electric train on an 800 m track, an original steam engine locomotive Waldenburg Switzerland, a tank engine locomotive, and two wagons of the Rhaetic train. The station is open every Sunday afternoon from Mai until October

During the Chestnut Festival "KESCHTNRIGGL", everything revolves around the "Tisner Kescht" (Chestnut of Tesimo). During the "KESCHTNRIGGL" period, menus in selected restaurants feature specially created chestnut dishes. The chestnut is the protagonist of numerous events during the Chestnut Festival KESCHTNRIGGL.

Experience chestnuts and wine in Lana in the chestnut grove of the Katzenthalerhof on Brandiswaalweg and in the "Hännsl am Ort" vineyard in Mitterlana. Wine, nature, old stone walls & wine cellars. Enjoy a delicious chestnut soup and traditional chestnut bread and taste farm made wines. Last but not least, we roast chestnuts together on the open fire. Naturno has made a name for itself as a market town in recent years; the much-visited and popular weekly market on Saturdays has become indispensable for locals and holidaymakers alike, and attracts many visitors to the village. The "Kirchtigmarkt" is one of the three annual markets where up to 55 stallholders offer their goods.

Discover Lana - welcome tour. Every Monday, guests are welcomed in front of the information office in Lana, the weekly programme is presented followed by a tour of the historic centre of Lana. You will receive useful information about the holiday region of Lana (countryside and people, hiking, excursions, visits to restaurants, fruit and wine growing, etc.) and learn about interesting monuments from eight centuries. Christoph Gufler, who has published numerous books on "South Tyrolean regional studies", will be happy to answer your questions, starting at the Lana information office, 10.00 am.

From Naturno you cycle comfortably along the Adige cycle path to Merano. From the Thermenplatz square, head eastwards through the Elisabeth Park into the Passeier Valley. Mostly flat, with a slight incline, you can enjoy the marvellous landscape along the Passeier cycle path (19 km). The refreshing air of the Passer accompanies you along the entire cycle path to St. Leonhard. After a short break, return to St. Martin, where the bike shuttle is waiting to take you and your bike back to Naturns in comfort. Limited booster seats for children are available. The private distillery "Wezl" in Riffian/Rifiano has been around since 2012. Jochen Kofler produces over 20 varieties of grappa and fruit brandies with much love and skill. Multiple awards at the Destillata, including "Edelbrand of the Year 2016" for Grappa Merlot. Named "Italy's national winner" and "Distillery of the highest quality" in 2019. Jochen invites you to visit of the private distillery "Wezl", where he explains how the fine brandies are distilled and they are tasted with delicious chocolate. The guided tour will be in German.

Continuing along the Apple Road, amidst blooming orchards, we reach Naturno and follow the bike path to Partschins, where the Typewriter Museum awaits. The Museum has over 2000 typewriters, making it one of the world's largest collections. The next leg involves a challenging ascent to the "Dursterhof" hut, rewarding us with a delightful lunch break and a tasty snack. Energized, we pedal back through Tell to our starting point in Algund. The diverse landscape and cultural attractions ensure this bike tour is an unforgettable experience for nature enthusiasts eager to actively explore the beauty of South Tyrol."

Did you know that a section of the E5 hiking trail was once a Waalweg? Hiking guide Arnold accompanies you on this route, telling you exciting facts about the waterways and the local flora and fauna along the way. During a stopover at the Pfeiftal restaurant, you can enjoy a typical snack "Marendbrettl". Then continue along the newly created hiking trail to the Gilf waterfall and along the Passerdamm trail back to St. Leonhard/ S. Leonardo. Walking time: approx. 4 hours | Difference in altitude: approx. 200 m The hike will be in German and Italian.

ONLY IN GERMAN OR ITALIAN Niedereben Farm is situated at an altitude of 634 metres on Nörderberg mountain. Benefiting from the advantageous climate, olives, grapes and cacti all flourish here. The Hofer family supplies the local organic specialist retailer (Biokistl) with its fruit and vegetables and sells a variety of home produced, typical South Tyrolean organic products in their own farm shop. Cows, pigs, quails, ducks, geese and chickens all feel like “pigs in clover” on the farm! This introduction to the long history of the farm gives visitors an insight into livestock husbandry and wine growing on the Vinschgau’s Nörderberg mountain and shows the route taken from the first olives to the production of the farm’s own olive oil. The following products are available to buy directly from the farm shop: speck (bacon), salami, smoked sausages, cooked herb-crusted ham, Coppa ham, farmer’s speck, seasonal fruit and vegetables, and in the autumn months chestnuts and pumpkins, apple juice and Vernatsch wine.
