Vallarga/Weitental, Vintl/Vandoies, Brixen/Bressanone and environs

This lengthy summit climb requires stamina but rewards the effort by passing three gorgeous mountain lakes. The itinerary takes you through the Altfasstal valley to the Wieser refuge or the Pranterstadl hut, from where the ascent starts to the large Seefeld lake, at almost 2,300 m. Follow the Seefeldbach creek until you reach the Seefeld hut (not open to the public), then branch off slightly to the left, always following the signposts to Mt. Seefeldspitze.
