This 5 km hike leads from Ortisei to Resciesa through the forest. It is a fairly steep trail which requires good physical condition and walking confidence. Do not be discouraged by the elevation gain; you will be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view that will make you forget your fatigue. This hike is recommended for those who enjoy walking in the tranquility that only the forest can offer.
The starting point of the hike is the valley station of the Resciesa funicular. On the left side of the station follow Via Resciesa uphill until the Solaria junction. From there turn right and follow Trail No. 10, which leads on a longer ascent through the Resciesa forest. When you reach the junction, turn left continuing on Trail No. 10 until you reach the Resciesa hut at 2170 m. Here you can enjoy a nice break before continuing to the summit cross.

The valley station of the Resciesa funicolar is easily reached by foot from the center of Ortisei, taking the escalators from the S. Antonio square and walking through the tunnel to the Seceda cablecar. From here, follow the signs to Reciesa, going through Via Roma and turning left on Via Sneton. As you arrive at the road crossing, turn right on Via Resciesa to see the valley station of the funicolar.
