For long-lasting fun on a sledge, the Molignon Sledge Run is the place to go.
From Saltria, the run leads to the Hotel Tirler, the end of the run. The uphill stretch is both a sledge run and a walking route, and leads up through a thick pine wood to the Refuge Molignon and the set-off point for the downhill run to Saltria, in an ever-changing play of light and shade. A night-time sledging outing when the full moon is shining over the Seiser Alm is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience. And if you’d prefer to avoid the walk up, a snow-cat or a skidoo is on hand to take you to the Refuge Molignon.
The valley station of the Seiser Alm Aerial Cableway can be easily reached via the following connections:
Bus line 1 from Siusi to the Schlern
Bus line 2 from Fiè to the Schlern
Bus line 3 from Castelrotto
Line 170 from Bolzano or Bressanone main station to the Seiser Alm Aerial Cableway stop.
The road leading to the Alpe di Siusi landscape protection area is closed to private traffic from 9 am to 5 pm. During these hours, the Alpe di Siusi can be reached by cable car from Siusi or by bus from Castelrotto.
