High above the Etschtal valley at more than 1,000 m, the peaceful mountain villages of Altrei, San Lugano, and Truden invite you to explore the nearby Trudner Horn Nature Park on holiday. In South Tyrol's most biodiverse nature park, also known as the “Forest Park”, there are 400 kilometres of marked hiking trails, including the E5 European long distance hiking trail. Mountain bikers also encounter an impressive number of tours here: 900 kilometres of trails and bike paths lead through the mountain biking region, optimally networked with neighbouring areas. Why not give Altrei coffee a taste? The local speciality, made from lupin, was rediscovered in the last few years.
