Kaltern counts many different places that are especially reserved for children to play. The playground along the Via Penegal has different attractions for the little ones: here, for example, they will find a nice sandbox, slides and swings as well as a table tennis and a football field where to play and have fun.
New local recreation area "Rosskopf Relax" near the mountain station of Sterzing's local mountain Rosskopf. Look forward to viewing terraces with spectacular mountain panorama over the Wipptaler valley basin and the Eisack valley, right up to the Dolomites. High-quality wooden sun loungers invite you to relax and unwind. The little ones can expect a lot of fun and adventure with the great, new cross-country slide and the popular petting zoo RossyPark.

The fun-park in Naturno is a square of 40 x 20 meters with a modern ground cover for Basketball, small soccer, handball or volleyball. It has also a great area for skateboarders, inline skates and bmx. The attractions boxes go from 30 to 220 cm. Opening hours are from: 9 to 21.30 hrs

The whole Alta Badia region is one big playground in the summer with its meadows and woods. But this, for us in Alta Badia, wasn’t enough: The beautiful nature was the basis for the design of enjoyable game parks.
Each of the six towns of Alta Badia has therefore at least one game park for children: in Corvara there is one by the pine wood and another one by the biotope lake.

The Talvera river runs through the city of Bolzano. The water course originates from the Sarentino Valley and its banks are home to beautiful green lawns, recreational parks, long walks and modern cycle routes. This is the green lung of the city and a popular destination for both tourists and local residents that provide rest and relaxation to those strolling along the tree-lines paths as well as fun for the younger ones in the playgrounds. There are also many sport facilities in the area which attract football, baseball and softball lovers. The Druso, Talvera and S.Antonio bridges are the three main links over the stream, but there are also some footbridges allowing for short or long round trips, on foot or by bicycle.

The summer-time adventure land for the entire family
At the SummerPark La Crusc, children can embark on an exciting adventure. There is also plenty to amuse older visitors such as panning for gold, paying a visit to the dragon cave, or engaging in a funny marmots’ battle.
The popular giant chairs made of wood as well as the hut with photo exhibition are also perfectly integrated into the SummerPark. The theme of the photo exhibition will change each year and in the hut there are books where you can fine a lot of information about the exhibition theme.
The SummerPark La Crusc is located directly at the top station of the La Crusc 1 chairlift and thanks to its ideal position it is kissed by the sun from morning to late afternoon. The circuit leads visitors past two mountain huts.
While the children are playing and having fun the parents can relax at the feet of the Sasso Croce mountain.

Each attraction of the SummerPark is symbolically connected to a Ladin legend of the Fanes Kingdom. For this summer the fourth book has been written, it tells the adventures of kings, princesses and knights in a mystical and fantastic world in the magical Dolomites landscape.
You can get these books at the SummerPark for free. While reading, you will travel into the past discovering the mysterious sphere of the Ladin legends.
The theme trail “In the footsteps of wild animals” also starts at the SummerPark and leads to the Lech Dlá Lé alpine lake, which has been declared a “Natural Monument”. Along the flat trail you can take part in a treasure hunt and stamp collecting game, with a reward for the winners at the end.

The playground which is located next to the sport area and the forest in Castelvecchio has really a lot to offer for children: slides, swings, carousels, climbing frames, seesaws and showcases are just some of the wonderful attractions that will make the little ones happy.
That's one of the “green areas” in our city: a place for both tourists and locals where you can spend time relaxing and having fun with your children. There is also a snack bar and tennis courts.
A peaceful spot is waiting for you at the entrance to the village of Colfosco, where you and your family can spend your afternoons in the shade of larch and fir trees with friendly farm animals.
Along the easy walk, you will get to know lively goats and hard-working hens and rabbits. The route leads to an educational house where you can explore the forest and nature and stimulate your senses.
In the heart of the park, you can admire a pretty pond housing a family of ducks living in harmony with some chattering geese. Nearby, the watermill recalls the ancient transformation of wheat into flour and the traditional peasant oven, where children's workshops with bread baking are still offered. Children can have fun and climb safely on the towers of the playground built in the shape of a fort.
The park is open every day from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, although most of the animals are brought to the stable around 5:00 PM. Starting from September 20th, the animals will take refuge in the stable to stay warm, but you will still find the ducks waiting for you at the park.
The park is open all year round, and during the colder months, the ducks, who don't need the warmth of the stable, will be there to greet you.

The children's playgound, near the sports ground in Lungiarü (Str. Pecei) is the best place to have a lot of fun!
Easily accessible by the Piz Sorega to San Cassiano cable car, the Movimënt Bear Park is a place dedicated to the carefree and pure fun for children, with so many activities to discover and learn fun and interesting things about nature.
A real bear cave with games and trivia dedicated to this incredible animal that lives in our mountains lies just below the mountain station of Piz Sorega, discover its secrets, jump onto a soft carpet with your friends and hear a real bear roar! Outdoors in winter you'll find a very special mini-golf circuit, also dedicated to bears, a zip line, water games with wells and fountains, a special beehive shaped slide and lots of other games for children of all ages.
Still on the subject of bears, children can try to dig up the bones of the famous "Ursus Ladinicus", actually found in 1987 in a cave in the Conturines mountain.
The Piz Sorega park is also equipped with an area dedicated to movement and fitness, where you can have fun and develop your sports skills in complete safety. In addition, there's an artificial oasis with a water path, better known as a Kneipp path, and with a series of wooden channels where you can open and close the small dams to have fun together.
From the Bear Park at Piz Sorega you can quickly and easily reach the other Movimënt parks at Piz La Ila and Pralongià on foot or by e-bike.
The wood playground in Brunico is located along the river Rienz and the cycle path towards Percha.
