The Capuchin Garden with the Sterntaler Christmas Market is already open from 10.00 a.m. on the first day of Advent - the official ceremonial opening takes place at 5.00 p.m.. A Christmas theatre performance will frame the festivities. From 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm, surrounded by the sounds of his guitar, Aster will bring a mixture of well-known cover songs, Christmas carols and his own compositions to the stage.

The Tyrolean Advent in the Castle will be taking place in the historic ambience of Tyrol Castle. Tyrol Castle provides an atmospheric backdrop for a genuine South Tyrolean Christmas experience. Local exhibitors will present traditional handicrafts such as felting, pottery, turning, spinning, braiding, dyeing and the production of ceramics or jewelry in the castle's rooms. There will be a well-balanced program of events for visitors every day during Advent in the Castle: whilst crackling fires make for a cozy atmosphere, food stands will offer traditional dishes, baked goods and drinks. The Christmas market will also be attended by choirs and music groups, and there will also be all kinds of entertainment for children.

Our Christmas market, the Alpine Advent Sarntal Valley, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. This year in Val Sarentino, the visitors of our Christmas street market will be enchanted by a myriad of Christmas trees. 20 wooden stands will display the traditional, handcrafted and unique products made in Val Sarentino, while the food and wine stands will offer local goodies such as sweet and airy Krapfen, Striezl (Sarentino-style fried bread) and rye bread. The Christmassy feeling will be heightened by music bands and carol singers and in addition there will be a hands-on workshop and animation shows for the children.

The Christmas Village opens its doors on all four Advent weekends, from 29/11 to 22/12/2024 from Friday to Sunday. Candle after candle form a luminous path through the winding alleys. The flair of bygone eras emanates from every corner and the romantic old town becomes a very special backdrop for a very special Christmas market thanks to its natural and authentic decorations. At the Christmas village in Klausen, the stalls are hidden behind fir branches and in old cellars, where you can buy local products. And there will also be plenty of culinary offerings as well as an extensive program. This year, the Sterntaler Christmas Market in Lana becomes even more inviting. The enchanting backdrop of the historic Capuchin Garden contributes to the cozy atmosphere, hosting nearly 20 Christmas stalls during the Advent weekends – from November 29 to December 24, 2024. Small fir trees adorned with shiny red ornaments and the warm glow of luminous spheres surround the lovingly decorated stalls offering genuine South Tyrolean handicrafts. An engaging program for the whole family – including ponies and sheep, a glitter workshop, and a hands-on circus, all set to the sounds of festive live music – completes the experience and promises unforgettable moments of enjoyment. The traditional Christmas market takes place from 26th November 2021 to 6th January 2022 in the town centre of Brunico. The guests will find lovely decorated stands with arts and craft, sweet treats and handmade gifts as well as several culinary delights at the Christmas market. The Christmas market in Laives/Leifers is a meeting place for locals and visitors on the weekends during Advent. On Saturdays and Sundays, the local associations enliven the stalls at the fairground Piazzale Pfarrheim. There will also be a living nativity scene near the parish church of Laives, a nativity scene trail with big and small masterpieces and a musical programme. Children can look forward to a visit from St. Nicholas and riding on small horses along the Via Pietralba/Weißensteinerstraße. With the medieval backdrop and the romantic alleys of the town, this Advent market is unique. It is characterized by contemplative and musical moments with brass groups and choirs. The beautiful historic center of Castelrotto once again provides the backdrop for the many small stalls that offer gifts, handicrafts, nativity figures, South Tyrolean products, herbs, candles and much more for sale to visitors. With mulled wine and fragrant cookies, homemade "Kastelruther Krapfen" visitors can listen to the Christmas music, escape the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle and experience a few contemplative moments.
