The little church of Santa Barbara, dating back to the 15th century, on the hills above the village of La Val in Alta Badia, is located in a very panoramic location. The inhabitants of this place still have very vivid memories of the history of the Lords of Rü: some centuries ago they buried money and precious jewellery near the church. The characteristic rural landscapes of the valley will envelop you during the entire route. You will be immersed in the tranquillity of the area: as you look around you will be able to observe some of the most characteristic "viles" of Val Badia. Viles are the typical widespread rural settlements, composed of several farmhouses.

Continuing along the path, you will reach the Corn plateau, one of the few panoramic points from where you can see the village of San Vigilio on one side, and San Martin with the Pütia mountain in the background, on the other one.

This easy snowshoe hike goes along the southern edge of the Puez-Odle Nature Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site), away from the ski slopes on the famous Sellaronda circuit. On a lovely hike through meadows and woods covered in deep snow, you can discover the natural scenery of the Dolomites from an entirely new perspective.

Along the trail, you will immerse yourself in the sounds of nature, including birds, the rustling of leaves and the whispering of the wind through the trees. The destination of the hike, the green meadows of Rit, within the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are an expression of an untouched natural environment, peace, and tranquility, where you can immerse yourself and breathe in the delicate scent of wild orchids.

After two hours of walking, you will reach the Crusc da Rit cross, where a breathtaking panorama will unfold before you, spanning from the Sas dla Crusc massif to the Pütia mountain. From this vantage point, you will be able to distinguish the three churches of La Val.
