The short circular trail leads directly around Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza), which is often frozen and covered in a blanket of snow during winter. Surrounded by the impressive peaks of the Latemar and Rosengarten | Catinaccio, it offers a picturesque view of the Dolomites. The prepared path is particularly suitable for a relaxed winter walk. The peaceful, snow-covered landscape and the frozen waters of the lake, with its sparkling ice crystals, create a special atmosphere, ideal for a short break in nature.

The winter hike from the most famous place of pilgrimage to the Petersberger Leger hut offers an unforgettable experience through snowy forests and picturesque landscapes. The approximately 1,5-hour trail passes by the charming Maria Weißenstein church and provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains. This hike is ideal for families, winter walkers, and nature enthusiasts looking to enjoy a serene and captivating winter landscape. Suitable for all ages, the route includes cozy resting spots at the Petersberger Leger hut.

This picturesque winter hike begins at the famous Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza), whose deeply snow-covered shores exude a special sense of tranquility. From here, you follow the so-called Templweg. The Templweg is loved by hikers looking for a peaceful walk in contact with nature. The well-prepared path leads through quiet winter landscapes, dense forests, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Dolomite peaks. Following the path further, you eventually reach Obereggen, a well-known winter sports resort, perfect for a well-deserved break or to continue the tour. The hike follows pleasantly walkable trails and is suitable for all experience levels.

Growing in the Karerwald forest, the hazel tree is used especially for the production of string instruments. For this reason, the wood has also been called ‘tonewood’. You start from the Karerwald forest to walk to the popular boulder labyrinth which acquired its name from the house-sized boulders that fell during a massive landslide from the Latemar mountain long ago.

This easy and impressive circular hike is especially recommended due to the panoramic views to the Rosengarten, Schlern and Latemar mountains and the Alps. The hike can be combined with a visit at St. Helen chruch, which is famous for its high-Gothic frescoes. These mural paintings are amongst the most precious local examples of the High Gothic period. The church is open all year round. Just in front of the church, at the "Buschenschank" Kreuzhof, the visitors can taste typical south-tyrolean food.

This snowshoe hike leads into the tranquil and secluded nature of the Totmoos biotope. In this protected moorland, numerous water lilies can be found in summer, which are decorating the pond and are covered in snow and ice in winter. With the bus we reach Passo Costaluga where we take the path to a mysterious rock labyrinth which a huge landslide from the Latemar a long time ago has formed at the foot of the Latemar.where we follow the signposts no. 21 and 17, stretching underneath the Latemar. First we walk along a broad forested trail, until we reach the first signpost "Labyrinth". Immediately the forest ends and the mighty Latemar towers into the sky in front of our eyes.

The winter panorama path in Welschnofen | Nova Levante is a pleasant circular hike that delights both locals and tourists. With a length of 5.1 kilometers and a duration of about 1 hour and 30 minutes, it’s perfect for a relaxed stroll. The trail runs above the village center, offering stunning views of the surrounding Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar and valley. Interesting stops along the way provide information about the village, its history, and traditions.

This relaxing winter hike leads through idyllic snow-covered forests and meadows to the rustic Häusler Sam hut, which is modestly situated in a clearing surrounded by forest. It is well worth a visit to sample the delicious specialities of South Tyrolean cuisine (during the winter season only open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays).

This easy and nice winter hike along the Sissi Promenade at Karersee | Carezza takes winter hikers in the footsteps of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, also known as Sissi. The path, named after her, was one of her favorite walking routes. At the beginning of the tour, you pass the historic Grand Hotel Carezza, where the Empress resided during her stays. The route then leads past old farms through a picturesque winter landscape offering breathtaking views of the Latemar and ends at the Sissi Monument, which was erected in her honor.

This via ferrata is a classic in the Dolomites and is framed by rugged walls and towers with magnificent views. The via ferrata is relatively short with difficult Alpine passages that require Alpine experience.

The charming middle circular winter hike around Lake Carezza transformsin winter into a picturesque snow walk of about 1 hour. A winter alpine hut hike that starts in the small holiday village of Karersee | Carezza and leads through a snow-covered fairy-tale landscape to Welschnofen | Nova Levante. Along the way, you can enjoy impressive views of the snow-covered Dolomites while walking through forest paths and gently sloping meadows. Along the route, several huts invite you to take a cozy break, including the Franzin Alm hut, the Ochsenhütte hut, the Restaurant Tschein, the Frommeralm hut, and the Hagneralm hut.

This hike leads across the blooming Latemar meadows to the Eggental mountain cinema, from where you can enjoy the view of the mountains, before entering the rock labyrinth - a true adventure at the foot of the Latemar.

The Latemar is varied on this circular walk, which starts at the Grand Hotel Carezza and leads the hiker through the Latemar Forest to the labyrinth and back.

Due to a huge landslide from the Latemar a long time ago, a mysterious rock labyrinth has formed at the foot of the Latemar. This adventure hike starts at the Karer See lake and leads you via the Mitterleger into the rock labyrinth of the Latemar.

The Lieg Alm can be reached on three different paths, which provide ambitious hikers as well as families with an eventful day. The medium-difficulty tour starting below the Ganischgerhof is described here. The easy version leads along a winter hiking trail from the Lavazé Pass to the Lieg hut.

Following in the footsteps of the dwarf king Laurin, to whom, according to legend, the Dolomites owe their magical glow at dusk, the impressive high-altitude hike begins at the Kölner Hütte. Over a total distance of 12 kilometres, you will climb around 800 metres in altitude.

On the way, you cross the Tschagerjoch and the Cigoladepass as well as the Hirzelweg. On the way back to the starting point, there are always unobstructed views of the surrounding peaks and valleys, showing the beauty of the landscape in all its splendour.

This winter hike follows the "Herrensteig" from Welschnofen | Nova Levante to Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza), considered one of the most magnificent alpine lakes. The lake, located at the foot of the Latemar and known for its deep green waters and the beautiful mountain backdrop, is frozen in winter and usually covered with a white blanket of snow.

From Welschnofen | Nova Levante, the path ascends with a steady, gentle incline up to Lake Carezza. Along the "Herrensteig", you are treated to beautiful views of the picturesque village of Welschnofen | Nova Levante. Upon reaching the lake, a breathtaking panorama opens up with views of the impressive mountain ranges of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar.
