From Welschnofen | Nova Levante, the trail leads below the imposing Rosengarten | Catinaccio to the Latemar, also known as the shape-shifter. The pale mountain shows itself in different shapes depending on the location, and the destination of this hike is the only managed refuge hut in the middle of this quiet rocky scenery. The hut is also called the "Torre di Pisa hut" because of a striking, sloping pinnacle about 20 m high, reminiscent of the leaning tower of Pisa.
This circular trail takes you on a journey into the fascinating world of bees. Along the family-friendly path, differnt stations bring the connection between bees, forests, and humans to life. The trail winds through dense woodlands and blooming meadows, always accompanied by the hum of these busy pollinators.

Please note: There are no places to stop for refreshments on this short circular walk, but there are several picnic areas. One option for refreshments is the Untereggerhof inn. This can be reached by taking a short detour from the beekeeper's house towards the observatory and is not directly on the tour route. Walking time: 30 minutes (1.5 km).

This short hike starts at the Kaiserstein parking lot and leads to the Masarè hut, idyllically situated at the edge of a forest in an alpine meadow below the Rosengarten | Catinaccio. From the hut’s sunny terrace, you can enjoy the impressive panorama of the mighty Rotwand | Roda di Vael, which is especially popular with climbers.
Start right in the charming village of Steinegg and follow a beautiful – and at times moderately challenging – circular trail through forests, meadows and scenic viewpoints. The route covers 9.7 km and around 525 metres of elevation, leading you to romantic spots like the Spitzköfele, where breathtaking views of the Sciliar and Rosengarten await.
