Our kitchen offers a typical South Tyrolean menu. You can taste the well-known Knödel, the homemade Schlutzkrapfen (South Tyrolean ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach) or the famous Spätzle. For meat lovers, we offer a menu based on local wild game.

The Furkel Hut is beautifully situated at 2,153 meters above Trafoi in the Venosta Valley and is an ideal destination for mountain enthusiasts. The hut can be easily reached via the Trafoi chairlift or by foot along the well-marked trail No. 17 in about two hours. Once you arrive at the Furkel Hut, you will be welcomed by the cozy sun terrace, which invites you to linger. Here, you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and be enchanted by the impressive views of the heavily glaciated Ortler massif. The majestic glaciers and peaks of the Ortler region create a spectacular backdrop that captivates nature lovers of all kinds. The Madritsch Hut is located in Solda, below the Madritsch Pass in the middle of the mountain world around King Ortles. The hut can be reached via the large Solda panoramic cable car to the mountain station at 2,610 m. The family-friendly hiking trail along the summer pasture of Reinhold Messner's yaks takes you to the Madritsch Hut (2,820 m) in around 1 hour. On the sun terrace you will be enchanted by Tyrolean specialties and the breathtaking mountain scenery. The Madritsch hut, which is typically furnished with wood, was largely rebuilt in 2017 and furnished in a modern style. The kitchen spoils you with traditional South Tyrolean & Italian dishes such as Tyrolean dumplings, Schlutzkrapfen and delicious Kaiserschmarrn. In the Yak Bar, hot chocolate or coffee awaits you and in Europe’s highest igloo, cool beer, Willi afterwards and great après-ski music await you. Enjoy the unique view of the Ortler Group from the sun terrace.

The Bergl Hut is located at an altitude of 2,188 m below the Pleisshorngrat of the Ortler, in the heart of the Stelvio National Park. It is accessible in about 1.5 hours from the Holy Three Fountains in Trafoi via trail No. 18. The Bergl Hut is situated directly across from the second-highest mountain pass road in the Alps, the Stelvio Pass, and offers an impressive view of the surrounding peaks, the stunning alpine landscape, and the Stelvio Pass road with its 48 hairpin turns. The hut delights its guests with a selection of regional specialties. Here, hikers can enjoy hearty dishes such as dumplings, speck platters, and pasta dishes made with local ingredients. Sweet temptations like apple strudel or Kaiserschmarrn are also a must. The Bergl Hut is an ideal starting point for numerous hikes and mountain tours, such as to the Payer Hut or further on to the Ortler, the highest mountain in the Eastern Alps.
