Concert with the band of Rabenstein at the Raiffeisen Square

With the Village market the village bridge is transformed into a culinary and artisanal treasure trove and invites you to discover, enjoy and taste. Several producers from the Passeiertal Valley present their exquisite products that make the heart of every market lover beat faster.

The traditional "Erntedank"-procession will be accompanied by the Parcines music band. After the Holy Mass and the procession, a short concert will be held. Traditional folk music, chestnut market, rural dishes and chestnut specialities await visitors in the village centre of Völlan. Visit to the Völlan Farmers' Museum with traditional baking demonstrations and a presentation of local crafts. Guided tours with the foresters at 2.00 pm on the South Tyrolean chestnut adventure trail. Free shuttle service from 9.30-18.00 from Lana to Völlan and from Tisens to Völlan.

During the Chestnut Festival "KESCHTNRIGGL", everything revolves around the "Tisner Kescht" (Chestnut of Tesimo). During the "KESCHTNRIGGL" period, menus in selected restaurants feature specially created chestnut dishes. The chestnut is the protagonist of numerous events during the Chestnut Festival KESCHTNRIGGL.

Naturno has made a name for itself as a market town in recent years; the much-visited and popular weekly market on Saturdays has become indispensable for locals and holidaymakers alike, and attracts many visitors to the village. The "Kirchtigmarkt" is one of the three annual markets where up to 55 stallholders offer their goods.

Experience chestnuts and wine in Lana in the chestnut grove of the Katzenthalerhof on Brandiswaalweg and in the "Hännsl am Ort" vineyard in Mitterlana. Wine, nature, old stone walls & wine cellars. Enjoy a delicious chestnut soup and traditional chestnut bread and taste farm made wines. Last but not least, we roast chestnuts together on the open fire. Did you know that a section of the E5 hiking trail was once a Waalweg? Hiking guide Arnold accompanies you on this route, telling you exciting facts about the waterways and the local flora and fauna along the way. During a stopover at the Pfeiftal restaurant, you can enjoy a typical snack "Marendbrettl". Then continue along the newly created hiking trail to the Gilf waterfall and along the Passerdamm trail back to St. Leonhard/ S. Leonardo. Walking time: approx. 4 hours | Difference in altitude: approx. 200 m The hike will be in German and Italian.

A hiking adventure to discover South Tyrol's mountains and get to know this unique, enchanting, panoramic world better. Registration required in the tourist information office by 5 pm on the previous day. Limited number of participants.

Hiking guide Heinrich accompanies you, after a short drive to Vernuer/Vernurio, to the Öbersthöfe and on to Gfeis/Caveis. After a leisurely lunch break with refreshments, the hike leads back to Vernuer/Vernurio via the well-known Merano Mountain High Trail. ONLY IN GERMAN! From the beginning of October, at the end of the grape harvest, until the beginning of the pre-Christmas season is "Törggelezeit". After leisurely walks through the golden autumn landscape, guests and South Tyroleans enjoy the products of the harvest, especially chestnuts and new wine (Sußer). On this week's hike we visit the Zmailerhof. With the bus we go from the center in Schenna up to the restaurant Pichler and then hike along the Ratscheidweg to the Zmailerhof and after the cozy stop further to St. Georgen. From the starting point you can freely decide whether to return by foot or by bus. A Törggelemenü and hearty music may not be missing of course! Difference in altitude: approx. 300m Walking time: approx. 2,5 hours Level of difficulty: easy/medium Important: ankle-high hiking boots, weather protection, something to drink.

Three castels in one night ("Drei Burgen in einer Nacht") in Prissian/Prissiano, is a short walk with torchlights from Castel Fahlburg to the Castle Wehrburg and to Castel Katzenzungen meanwhile you enjoy cultural and culinary surprises and at the end of the evening will be serverd a degustation dinner based on the local chestnut. Costs: 100,00 euro per person. On reservation only, whitin Monday, 21th October until 5 p.m.

Round, tasty, traditional! The dumpling is not a normal meal in South Tyrol, but a way of life. Would you also like to know how the spherical delicacy gets onto your plate? During a cooking course, farmerin Rosina will show you how the South Tyrolean dumpling is typically prepared and will be happy to give you one or two insider tips. Afterwards, everyone can enjoy the homemade dumpling speciality themselves. The event will be in German and Italian.

Autumn is the time for Törggelen! “Törggelen” comes from the Latin word “torculum”, which means “winepress”. The fragrant smell of roasted chestnuts is truly special, and something which characterises autumn time. People meet together to enjoy Tyrolean specialities, the new wine (known here as “Susser”, from the German word for “sweet”) – and the delicious chestnuts, of course. Innkeepers, farmers, artisans and artists all proffer their wares on Raiffeisenplatz market square, so there’s plenty to see.

At the Algund Farmers' Market from October 23rd to 27th, fresh, regional, and homemade products from all over South Tyrol will be showcased and offered for sale. Join us and be inspired by the variety of agricultural products. Fresh chestnuts will be roasted daily. Two farmers will provide visitors with homemade dishes and serve freshly harvested wines and drinks from their own production. A special program with live music will round off the event.

From the Schermoos car park, we follow the European Long Distance Trail to the Möltner Joch. Follow a hiking trail through sparse larch forest to the Möltner Kaser Alm. Here we follow a path to the famous Stoanerne Mandln hilltop, with an impressive view of the Dolomites. This mystical cult site is marked by dozens of man-sized stone men. Return to the Möltner Kaser and then via the Jenesier Jöchl back to the starting point. Travel by public transport. Walking time: approx. 5 hours Altitude difference: 700 m

Immerse yourself in the dazzling autumn splendour on the Rösslsteig trail and along the Waalweg trail "Riffianer Waalweg" trail from Saltaus/Saltusio to Kuens/Caines. Enjoy the picturesque hike through the fascinating play of colours in nature. A delicious "Törggelen" experience awaits you at the restaurant Hilberkeller, where you can indulge in regional specialities and a cosy atmosphere. After this enjoyable stop, we hike together to Kuens/Caines and take the bus back to Saltaus/Saltusio. Walking time: approx. 3 hours | Difference in altitude: approx. 250 m The hike will be in German and Italian.

The chestnut has a long tradition in South Tyrol. In this cooking class, that will be in German language and/or Italian language, you will learn how to prepare sweet and piquant dishes with chestnuts of Tesimo.

On Friday, 25 October at 8.30 p.m., the Algund Music Band once again invites all brass music lovers to listen to an hour of contemplative brass music in the parish church of St. Joseph in Algund. At this year's church concert, director Christian Laimer will enjoy that beautiful music. For the musicians of the Algund Music Band, a concert in "their" parish church is always a special experience and a great musical challenge. The musicians are happy to meet you! The ASC Laugen Wintersports invites you to a convivial evening with roasted chestnuts, "Suser" (grape must) and wine in the centre of Tesimo.
