Every Tuesday, music enlivens the city center, accompanied by events and much more. It's a popular occasion for locals from Merano, who flock into town along with visitors from the surrounding area to enjoy the summer atmosphere. For guests of the city, it's the perfect opportunity to get to know Merano and its residents. On the upper via Corso della Libertá, a market featuring handcrafted products (6:30 p.m – 11:00 p.m) accompanies the events. Kids Corner: On the Passeggiata Lungo Passirio, a space directly in front of the Kurhaus is dedicated to children. Magic shows and clowns, baby dance, creative workshops full of imagination, and a face painting corner offer plenty of fun activities. Participation is free of charge. Discover the story of the South Tyrolean apple in Merano! This apple tour of Merano's fruit cooperative CAFA will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about our local fruit. After a short introductory film, you can explore the entire cooperative in the company of our apple expert Franz and follow the storage, sorting, packaging and shipping of the South Tyrolean apple. Our apple expert will let you in on all kinds of secrets about our apples' goodness, the varieties and how best to store them at home. To round off the tour there is a brief apple tasting session. Schenna market is full of festival feeling. Like in the olden days, the market is more than just a place to sell or buy wares – it’s a place to meet people and stop for a chat! Eat, drink and chat to your heart’s content! Merchants and artisans present their products, Schenna farmers proffer their home-made wares, and restaurants serve South Tyrolean specialities.

This cooking course is all about local wild herbs. Herbs and wild herbs are collected in the garden, which are then processed into a delicious lunch together with herbalist Rosi Mangger Walder. The event will be in German.

Our events is entirely dedicated to the Tyrolean sounds of our local music bands. On some evenings, visitors can also enjoy performances by our traditional Bavarian folk dance, folk dance groups and the men's choir.

Once a week, things get cill and relaxed: In Riffian/Rifiano or Kuens/Caines, a favourite pub becomes a stage for live sounds and relaxed evenings. Including: the acoustic trio ‘Coffee Cult’, which provides goosebump moments with cill arrangements and warm voices. Music that gets under your skin, an atmosphere that connects.

In 2006, the popular ‘Kinderlachen’ programme was brought to life. The first three Wednesdays in August are always reserved for our little ones. Clowns, musicians, actors and puppeteers bring their plays to the stage at 5.30 pm each week. Children are usually allowed to actively participate. Our little spectators can also quench their thirst, because we also open our bar for our little ones.

The Schenna Tourist Association and various local brass bands invite all guests and residents to a special concert at the Music Pavilion on Raiffeisen Square. Enjoy an unforgettable evening filled with music, emotions, and community. Seating is available, so you can relax and enjoy the evening comfortably. This Thursday, the Band of St. Michael/Eppan will deliver unforgettable sounds and an exciting atmosphere.

From Ortisei we take the funicular to Rasciesa, from there we hike across the alpine pastures and the Adolf Munkel path at the foot of the Geißlerspitzen to the Gschnagenhartalm and on to Zans in the Villnöss Valley. Walking time: 4,5 hours Difference in altitude: ascent 275 m and descent 700 m

Approach to Ulfas to the parking space called "Kratzegg". Ascent on trail no. 2 across alpine meadows to the large cairn on the ridge and on to the summit. The descent is via the Ulfaseralm hut back to the parking space. Attention: Good physical condition required! Walking time: approx. 8 h (there & back) | difference in altitude: 1,350 m The hike will be in German and Italian.

An evening concert with the brass bands or Bohemian bands from the Passeiertal Valley. Between the music pieces, insights into the traditions and life in the valley are shared. An evening where music takes center stage, while at the same time, more about the Passeiertal Valley can be learned.

Music, indulgence and balmy nights in Burglehen Park – an event not to be missed! What can you expect? A touch of holiday feeling, a pinch of dolce vita and lots and lots of great flavours – more than 20 small vintners and creative beer brewers – from effervescent white wines and tempting rosés to characterful red wines, sparkling bubbly and hand-brewed craft beers. Fresh mountain air, plenty of free range and GMO-free feeding ensure that the pigs at the Obertimpflerhof farm in Vöran feel completely at ease. ‘That's the secret to the outstanding quality of our meat,’ says farmer Franz with conviction. This is processed into delicious bacon and sausage products using traditional methods on the farm. Guided tour of the stables, production and maturing rooms with all sorts of interesting facts about farming and processing on the farm - followed by a tasting session with farmer Franz.

On Dorf Tirol Day, Meran Racecourse presents a special experience for horse lovers – and other visitors too – who are spending their holiday in the village. Before the starting gun sounds for the races, there is a free guided tour on the agenda, which provides an exclusive insight into one of the loveliest racecourses in Europe. Free entry.

Dedicated to Tradition and Culture Under this motto, traditional morning pint events take place on Sundays in all the villages of the Hinterpasseier. The aim is to bring visitors closer to the traditions and cultural diversity of the region. Program: 10:00 a.m.: Holy Mass From 11:30 a.m.: Morning pint with musical accompaniment by the group “Carreras” and a performance by the folkloridtic group di Stulles The local association of Stulles will spoil guests with typical Passeier specialties such as dumplings, "Krapfen", and much more. "Titlá" ("feel free") was the response of an innkeeper 35 years ago when asked if playing music was allowed in his establishment. Since then, South Tyrol’s most successful folk band, Titlá, has been captivating audiences with its unique style of folk music. Drawing inspiration from Irish and Celtic melodies and sounds, the five musicians have forged their own path into traditional Tyrolean folk music. Fiddle and bagpipes, flute and tuba, as well as drums and guitar, all contribute to their unmistakable sound. Their well-crafted, self-composed songs make Titlá instantly recognizable and have brought them success and acclaim beyond the borders of South Tyrol. Their lyrics are deliberately sung in dialect, a way to rediscover and preserve their cultural heritage—both musically and linguistically. The current concert program presents a diverse mix spanning 35 years of shared musical journey.
