Lajen-Ried is well known as the cradle of the ‘Törggele’ culture, when the season’s new wine is served up with accompanying farmhouse fare in autumn. However, guests will enjoy a stop here at any time of year. The Schenk family dishes up seasonal delicacies from the garden and wine cellar in the 17th century panelled farmhouse parlour both in winter and spring. Open from the start of September until the start of December from 12 noon. Finailhof farm, at an altitude of 1973 m above sea level and with a panoramic view of the surrounding peaks and of Vernagt Lake, is steeped in history. In 1416, the farmer at Finailhof farm apparently provided refuge to Duke Friedrich IV who was on the run with not a penny in his pocket, allowing him to work as a farm hand tending the sheep. The Duke’s beaker and cutlery are still on display at the farm today. Finailhof farm can be reached on foot along several different trails and is also easily accessible by car. We will be happy to spoil you with our traditional Tyrolean farmhouse cuisine made mainly from our own home-grown produce and served on our sun terrace with its panoramic view. We are open seven days a week all year round (please book in advance for evenings and in the winter months).

This is practically a self-sufficient farm. Guests here can enjoy meat, speck, sausage and ‘Surfleisch’ (cured pork) from the field to the table. The house wine and variety of seasonal products round off a pleasant stop at the Oberpartegger farm. From September to December weekdays from 6 pm and Saturday, & Sunday already open from noon. Tuesday is a day of rest. In the spring at asparagus time is also open on Saturday and Sunday from midday. Reservation recommended.

In our cozy farmhouse inn or on the sunny terrace, you can enjoy the finest dishes of Ladin and Tyrolean cuisine. Our traditional dishes are based on excellent products from our agriculture and the region: dumplings with goulash, creamy soup from the Rit meadows, and tagliatelle with ragout are some of our specialties. Of course, we offer a wide range of wines and beers from South Tyrol cannot. Every day we offer our flagship dishes made from Angus beef from our herd, a very flavorful, tender, and rich in Omega-3 fatty acids meat.

Experience the unusual atmosphere of the secular stone cellars. Also ideal for business dinners, family and birthdays. Hubenbauer tavern offers new wine, chestnuts roasting on the grill, bacon, smoked sausages and many other tasty dishes from the farm kitchen. Since the autumn of 2010, in addition to the ancient tradition of the restaurant in South Tyrol, the inn offers its own brewery. With special beers of high fermentation, we have completed our gastronomic offer. The beer is brewed according to the Bavarian Beer Purity Law of 1516.

Niedermairhof farm is situated high above Kastelbell on the side of the Trumsberg mountain. From its sun terrace you can enjoy fantastic views down and across Vinschgau valley and into Martelltal valley and inside there are two cosy and inviting wood-panelled farm parlours. The Kaserer family’s many home made products will turn ordinary meals into a real treat. Open from 1st April to 20th December. Thursdays closed. From 15th June to 15th August closed Thursdays and Sundays. Orders in advance required for evening meals.

The Hut "Schafstallhütte" is located at an altitude of 1500 meters above Kastelruth. In this rustic alpine hut, you can expect warm hospitality and homemade traditional South Tyrolean specialties. The hut can be reached on foot in 15 minutes from the top station of the Marinzen cable car via trail no. 9. From Kastelruth, trail no. 8 leads via the Witches' Chairs to the Schafstallhütte. Open only during the summer months.

Guests can enjoy great views of the surrounding mountains and the whole Eisack valley from the sun terrace of Ahner farm. Inside, the panelled dining room provides a cosy setting. The delicious first course dishes are a highlight. Open all year round. Prior reservation desired.

We offer you a relaxing break with a breathtaking panoramic view of Schenna and Merano. Enjoy homemade juices as well as creative and seasonal dishes made with fresh ingredients from our own farm and local farms in Schenna. In the afternoon, we will also spoil you with homemade cakes. The sunny terrace is the perfect place to relax and soak in the scenery – an ideal spot to unwind and refresh!

Ebner wine farm lies at the foot of the Ritten high plateau surrounded by vineyards. The farmer, Florian, produces excellent wines, while his wife is an experienced cook and confectioner who treats her guests to typical Tyrolean dishes, and now serves a delicious farm brunch. Open from March to mid-May on Sunday after 9.00 am (farm brunch until 1.00 pm). From the start of October to mid- December from Wednesdays to Fridays from 6.00 pm, open from midday on Saturdays and Sundays. Prior order required.

Stop in and linger: our farm tavern in Jenesien/San Genesio As befits a traditional South Tyrolean farm tavern, we treat our guests or passing visitors to a small but hearty snack of regional cuisine. We also serve homemade juices, local wine or a fresh beer. Our farm tavern in Jenesien welcomes you with its panelled parlor in Swiss stone pine and a cosy ambience. Here you will find just the right refreshment for in-between meals and a welcome stop after a long day of hiking. At our rustic wooden tables, you will gain a good insight into how hard work, the magic of a unique landscape and a hearty meal with a good drink go hand in hand here in South Tyrol.

Strasserhof farm enjoys great views across the whole of the Brixen valley basin. The cosy old panelled parlour is just as impressive. Whether inside or outside, seated under the walnut tree, guests will feel at home on the Strasserhof farm. Farm Holiday guests are also welcome. Open from mid-September until the start of December. The Villscheiderhof inn is ideally positioned along the well-known Chestnut Trail and looks out over Brixen, the seat of the local bishop. The Gummererhof lies high above the Brixen valley basin, nestling amongst chestnut groves and vineyards. In autumn, when the days draw in and get cooler, a lot of 'törggelling' goes on in the farmhouse - that involves finishing off the day with tasty farm fare and a glass of the season's new wine. House ‘Sekt’ (sparkling wine), made from the native ‘Blatterle’ grape is a special feature of the Gummererhof farm. Open days: Open daily from mid September to mid December from 15.00. The Nalserbacherkeller is not far from Nals, on the road towards Prissian and Tisens. The Pallweber family will spoil you in the comfortable cellar or under the vines in the open air. The kitchen offers tasty, varied food, hospitality and a friendly atmosphere. Home-distilled fruit schnaps will round off your meal! Open from the start of April until the end of June from Thursday to Sunday and from the start of August until mid-December from Thursday to Monday. The Steidlerhof farm looks down on the city of Bolzano, enjoying wonderful panoramic views from the Rosengarten mountain to the Mendel mountain ridge. Nestling amid the gently sloping St. Magdalena vineyards, the guests will experience real rural hospitality within lovingly restored walls and recharge your batteries on the sunny terrace. Open from mid-March to June on Thursday to Sunday from 11.00. Monday to Wednesday closed.
