Setting off from Pieve Marebbe, you can enjoy a number of especially beautiful walks to the hamlets of Cianorè, Biëi, Fordora, Frena and La Costa. From each hamlet, the next one is visible and easily reached by connecting tracks and roads, leaving you free to choose the best route to explore the amazing beauty of these landscapes and the architectural singularity of the hamlets.
Either from the village square via Valiares or from the Aqua Bad Cortina Oasis Hotel, follow the Tres La Val trail up to the Spiaggetta Ciamaor park. Heading towards Tres La Val, walk on the right side of the stream starting from the Spiaggetta Ciamaor park and continue on to the next bridge just before Lé dla Creda. From there, it is another 10 minute walk. The route back to San Vigilio leads partly along the main road and partly along the walkway.
Anyone who is staying in Valdaora can start these moderately difficult ski tours to the Piz da Peres or the Dreifingerspitze at the Passo di Furcia-Furkelpass and then first of all leave their tracks through the dense forests. Higher up, well-marked trails lead over at times very steep scree cirques and broad meadow slopes approximately 750 meters (2,500 feet) higher to the corresponding destination.
SAN VIGILIO › CIASTLINS (H-R: 4 h)
From the lake „Lè dla Creda“, follow the indications to „Ciastlins“, following path No. 25; after 15 minutes you reach the breathtaking waterfalls of Ciastlins. The path then takes us to the two hunting lodges on the idyllic pasture of Ciastlins (both not open for refreshments). Return to the Lago della Creta via the same route.
SAN VIGILIO › RIT (H: 5.5 hours)
Starting from Hotel Les Alpes, walk up the
road until you find the sign indicating the path to „Sarjëi“. Continue following the signs for „Rit“ (signpost No. 15). Return to San Vigilio via Ciamaor, following path no. 13 downhill through steep meadows and woods.
From the Miara cable car, walk along the road until you reach the first big left-turn hairpin bend. There, take a right onto the forest trail until you get to a small path which turns right again, descending through the forest. At the Torpëi farmstead, there are a number of options to return to the village which will take you back to the cable car. This walk can also be done the other way round.

PEDERÜ - FANES (2042m, H: 2 hours) - LIMOSEE (2171m, H: 2,5 hours) - GROSS-FANES (2104m, H: 3 hours)
From Pederü follow trail number 7 to the Fanes hut, where you will have the opportunity to taste typical dishes based on simple and genuine ingredients. Alternatively, you can reach the Lavarella hut, with its new microbrewery, the highest in Europe, where you can enjoy an authentic artisan beer. From the Fanes mountain hut, continue to the left and you will reach Lake Limo and the Fanes Grande mountain hut. The breathtaking view, enhanced by three idyllic lakes, makes this hike unique.
The path starts behind the church on the Furcia Pass (marked No. 1). After 45 minutes you
will reach the hut Ücia Bivacco, which offers catering and a sun terrace.
Either from the village square via Valiares or from the Aqua Bad Cortina Oasis Hotel, follow the Tres La Val trail up to the Spiaggetta Ciamaor park. Walk back taking the same route or turn right at the edge of the sports ground and follow the Tru dles Liondes trail which leads to the Nature Park House.
This hike starts at the Miara cable car. From there, the walk continues along the road to the hamlet of Val and on along the Costa woodland path. Return to San Vigilio via Ras.
A real insider tip is the ski touring trail to the Brunst hut, which is prepared weekly with the snow cat.
In the midst of the UNESCO Dolomites World Heritage, the path winds its way up to the alpine hut, where you can warm up in a room and enjoy the breathtaking view to the Dolomites of Olang.
Attention: The path is closed in the evening due to the preparation.
From the Hotel Monte Paraccia the route signed “Torpëi › A Sorëdl” leads up to the drinking water reservoir. Continue right across a beautiful woodland path to Ciamaor. From there you return to San Vigilio on the path of legends
Setting off from opposite the water reservoir on Furcia Pass, follow the path marked no. 3 for approx. 15 minutes to the intersection, then continue following no. 12 signs to Ücia Picio Pré. (refreshments and sun terrace).
From the church square, take the road between the Sport Erich shop and the Tabarel restaurant. After crossing the bridge, in front of you, you will see the indication for the „Spiaggetta Ciamaor“. Once you have reached the Spiaggetta, continue along the path „Tres la Val“, which leads through meadows and forests of rare beauty for about 10km to Pederü. You can return to San Vigilio by shuttle bus or by following the same route.
Walk past the Miara cable car station and follow the road up to the hamlet Rara. Turn right onto forest path no. 1 which takes you to Passo Furcia, where a number of inns offer food and drinks. Take the same route to walk back. Alternatively to walking on the paved road, just behind the Chi Vai restaurant you can also take the pretty hiking trail which leads past the Riffa inn. After passing the eadows, you will find the path to the Spaces restaurant (stop here for food, drinks and a sun deck) on the left side at the edge of the forest. This route leads back to the main path (no. 1).
This walk starts at the Strada Ciasé (opposite Garni Cristallo). Turn right at the Gran Pré business park and then continue until you reach the Ciasé farmstead. Walk slightly uphill to the Bella Vista Hotel Emma and return to San Vigilio on the roadside pavement.

PEDERÜ › FODARA VEDLA (1980 m, H: 1 hour) › SENES (2116m, H: 2 hours) › BIELLA/SEEKOFEL INN (2300 m, H: 3.5 hours)
From Pederü, walk on the access road to the pastures of Fodara Vedla and Senes; from Senes follow waymark No. 6; return is also possible via lake of Braies (Alta Via No.1 - 3 hours from the hut Rifugio Biella).
From the Hotel Les Alpes on the small route to the middle station of the Piz de Plaies cable car. There, turn right and continue on the scenic path through green meadows to Sarjëi. From this path the route continues via a woodland path to the hamlet of Ju. For the return we recommend the route that goes to the mountain station of the Piz de Plaies cable car and then back to San Vigilio.
From the Hotel Monte Paraccia the path runs uphill to the hamlet of Torpëi. There you can enjoy the beautiful view of San Vigilio. The path continues past farm buildings. Return to the village via the hamlet of Pinëi.
SAN VIGILIO › SANTA CROCE (H: 6 h)
From San Vigilio (Ciamaor), passing through Rit, always following path No. 13, you will reach Spëscia. Then take path no. 15 across the Armentara meadows to the Santa Croce pilgrimage site. You can also return by descending to San Leonardo/Badia (1.5 hours on foot or by chairlift).
