The Berghotel Schlemmer in Plancios serves classic South Tyrolean specialties such as Knödel (dumplings) and Kaiserschmarrn (a dessert made of shredded pancakes) – and not only to its guests. These dishes, as well as Italian pasta specialties, are also available to the many day-trippers, hikers and bikers who stop at the hotel. Absolutely everyone touring the area around Bressanone, the nearby Mount Plose and the vicinity of the Dolomites likes to have a bite to eat in the Schlemmer restaurant. Indeed, our kitchen staff know how to impress food connoisseurs and continuously come up with new creations that can even surprise guests who return year after year.
The Mair am Bach Hotel cuisine is very refined; together with the typical South Tyrolean delicacies we offer dishes from international cooking tradition. We offer many South Tyrolean and international delicacies, together with true gastronomic threats which will make every gourmet happy! Our cuisine is also famous for the fish-based dishes. The Plonerhof Restaurant Inn in Gereuth is famous for its excellent cuisine and it makes use of locally grown produce (milk, vegetables, meat) as well as game and Tyrolean style specialties. It is the ideal meeting point for family and company events. In the autumn it is the ideal place for "Törggelen" with steaming hot chestnuts and new wine!

We run a butcher shop know throughout this area. We get the meat from our own livestock and from nearby farms. We use these products to make hearty and delicious specialties of South Tyrolean and Italian cuisine. We also have a large vegetable garden, and can thus offer our guests not only good-tasting foods, but also guaranteed fresh and healthy ingredients.
Our pastry treats you with our specialty pastries: croissants with chocolate and walnuts, south tyrolean strudel, chocolates and various cakes. The cakes are made to order for any occasion. In summer you will find our homemade ice cream that you can comfortably enjoy in our garden.

The restaurant Geisler on the Plose welcomes you to its comfortable parlor and on the sunny terrace. The restaurant offers a wide choice of dishes as well as traditional Italian dishes. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays we serve fresh fish dishes. You can also enjoy some tasty pizzas cooked in a wood oven for lunch and dinner.
All products from the monastery’s own estates are available for tasting in the monastery cellar, including the Novacella wines, brandies, apple juice, elderflower cordial and the Novacella herbal infusions. We also offer typical Tyrolean snacks of speck (cured ham), smoked sausages (Kaminwurzen) and various cheeses with a choice of tasty South Tyrolean bread varieties. Coffee and various cakes and pastries are also available, such as apple strudel, buckwheat gateau and fruit flan.

You can fish yourself trout and rainbow trout in our natural pond.
The meat and the milk from our cows, calves and sheep that spend the whole summer on the mountain pasture, is healthy and very tasty.
Fresh salads and all kind of vegetables and fruit come directly from our garden.
The remaining milk is processed within our farm to tasty cheese specialities.
In addition to the quaint coziness and dreamlike location, it’s the culinary expertise of Franz Pernthaler that has made gastronomes the world-over recommend the Schatzer Lodge. The excellent menus, prepared every evening by the lodge’s chef for the guests, have to be compared with, but do not pale in comparison to, those that the majority of the so-called gourmet restaurants offer their diners. Local products from South Tyrol fill the pots in our kitchen and are carefully prepared for presentation on your plate. From the "common" South Tyrolean bacon dumpling with a refined herb garnish from our own garden to the tagliatelle Caprese with fresh basil and South Tyrolean mozzarella, the selection is great and the symbiosis of traditional and Mediterranean cuisine make the Eisack Valley cuisine a must for food lovers. As an accompaniment, junior chef Andreas serves you just the right wine from South Tyrol, Italy, or even wine from abroad.
The pub is located directly at the valley station of the gondola lift Plose: In winter at the end of the Trametsch downhill run and the RudiRun toboggan run - in summer at the end of the mountaincarts route. The large sun terrace invites you to take a comfortable break in winter and summer.
The "Waage" bar in the south of the city is one thing above all: a meeting place for everyone. And at any time of day. From a quick coffee in the early morning to a small snack in the morning, from a digestive coffee after lunch to a meeting over a cool beer or a refreshing cocktail in the evening in a cosy atmosphere. The spacious smoking room and very large guest garden are also inviting.
The Gasserhof is a traditional house in St. Andrä, near Brixen. At lunchtime, the Gasserhof has its restaurant open for you between 12.00 and 13.30. For several years, chef Fabian has offered his guests moments of extreme pleasure. With his creative dishes he accompanies you on a delicious journey through traditional South Tyrolean cuisine, a real tasting experience. The team is also supported by Hermann, who is happy to share his experience and expertise with his colleagues.
One “must” in the kitchen: the preservation of the true taste of the products, which must be genuine, pure, and intense. For this reason, vegetables, herbs, berries and fruit come directly from the hotel garden.
The AdlerCafé invites you to relax, read and chat with other people. Whatever you want to do, it will be accompanied by comfortable background music. Special lamps exuberate a soothing, warm light and create a comfortable atmosphere with our designer furniture and orange-coloured fabrics, as well as the historic walls and vaults. On warm summer days, you can sit outside in the picturesque Adlerbruckengasse under the small porticos.
In addition to selected international dishes, particularly our South Tyrolean specialities provide a holiday experience for the palate. Dishes labelled as regional cuisine really do contain the full flavour of South Tyrol.
