‘Otherworldly’ is inspired by mythology and religious art and shows motifs that are characterised by female aspects. According to the photographer, the aim is to visually depict women in a historical context while celebrating their importance through art and questioning the frequent underestimation and neglect of women in the past. Forty years after the death of two great figures of world culture, Italo Calvino and Marc Chagall, the Italian Association of Artists of Trento | Bolzano FIDA and the ASSB - Associazione Scrittrici e Scrittori di Bolzano are commemorating the two outstanding artists with an event at the Bolzano City Gallery. The wide-ranging cultural event will showcase works by twenty-nine artists from the Trentino-Alto Adige region as well as writings by the thirteen writers who are members of the ASSB Bolzano. These are free and personal interpretations and inspirations, a tribute to the two unforgotten personalities who are of immeasurable importance in art and literature. The artists and writers explore their significant legacy in order to create a moment of wonder in today's culture - a reflection of a past that is still alive. ‘The Emotions of Artists’ is the title of this ambitious project, which revolves around the deep emotionality masterfully concealed in the paintings and writings of the two great authors. As in the light, fleeting poetry that is always palpable in their imaginative works.

Today 15 asparagus growers in Terlan plant approx. 10 ha of high quality asparagus and sell it under the trade mark and hallmark of excellence Margarete. The elegant looking and extremely mild tasting Terlan asparagus is very popular with the connoisseurs of this white spring vegetable. In April and May several restaurants invite visitors to enjoy classic and creative asparagus dishes made with the valuable Margarete asparagus. Fresh asparagus with home-cured ham, boiled potatoes and Bozner sauce is one of the classics. The meal is accompanied by the fine, mineral containing Terlano “asparagus wine” (Sauvignon) from the Terlan winery.

Springtime for your palate When spring arrives, it's time to celebrate. On the Alto Adige Wine Road, spring is all about wine and culinary delights. Berty Skuber was born in Völs am Schlern and has lived and worked in Völser Aicha for decades, interspersed with longer stays in Venice and Milan and numerous trips. Her exhibition activities, which began in 1970, have taken her far beyond South Tyrol and Italy to various European and American galleries, museums and collections. Berty Skuber works with a wide variety of media in her extensive oeuvre, ranging from painting and drawing to collage, artist's books, sculpture, objects and video. The exhibition shows important stages of her life's work.
