The Hockey Club Gherdëina is the ice hockey team of the Val Gardena. The HCG is one of the teams with the most appearances in Serie A and is one of the oldest Italian ice hockey clubs. Since last year, there has been a second team playing in the IHL Division I.

The hardest race in South Tyrol! 10.01.2025 - 3 Zinnen Mini Ski Marathon The Mini 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon for all children and young people is all about having fun. The youngest participants open the event at 4.00 pm in the Nordic Arena in Dobbiaco. The "Balloon Glow" with small hot air balloons will create a unique atmosphere before the prize giving ceremony. 11.01.2025 - Classic Race (62km + 30 km) 62km classic track: The starting signal is given in Val Fiscalina/Sesto. The track continues towards San Candido and Dobbiaco, it passes through the cross-country stadium Nordic Arena further into the "Landro Valley" until the View of the three Peaks and Val Fonda where the track turns and the course leads back to the Nordic Arena. In Carbonin starts the mythical climb to Prato Piazza (Dolomiti Superbike route) with a 7 km ascent and an average gradient of 10%. The finish line is on Prato Piazza where the athlets can admire the magnificent scenery of the Dolomites. National speed skating championship on the Ice Rink of Ritten Arena in Klobenstein. "The ice rink in Klobenstein is the fastest outdoor track in the world. However, it’s not only the fast ice but also the ideal altitude, beautiful panorama, and warm South Tyrolean hospitality that make the Ritten Arena a highly regarded training center and competition venue for the world’s top speed skaters"

Visitors to the Dolomiti Balloonweek can enjoy a hot air balloon flight lasting around half a day (including assembling the balloon, hot air balloon flight, dismantling the balloon, “baptism”). The actual flight takes around an hour depending on wind and weather. A hot air balloon basket has room for two to five persons, including the pilot. We will guide you to eight especially beautiful and powerful cultural places in our region, all of which are marked and numbered on the map. There is an appropriate clue for each place. You need to find a wooden template with a picture on it and then copy it into the correct space on your sheet. Once every location has been visited and all of the images found and correctly entered on the map, the map can be handed in to one of the tourist information offices in Hafling, Mölten or Jenesien. In addition to visit the best cultural spots on the Tschögglberg mountain ridge, you will be rewarded with a little surprise. Important: Don’t forget your pen!

Skiing, coasting and snowboarding at the foot of the Stelvio National Parc.  Anyone who needs a bit more practice for the larger slopes in the Venosta Valley skiing area or who would like to teach their little ones how to ski, will find a great ski slope with a special atmosphere in Prato/Prad. In the shadow of the romanesque St. Johann church, the small "Pfasch ski center" can be found with a magic carpet, a 300 m long training slope and an igloo to warm up.

On the Long Saturdays, experience tobogganing fun in a different way: For all those who can't get enough of winter sports, the cable car runs even longer on these days! The cable car runs from 08:30 to 16:30 and from 17:00 to 19:00, all huts are also open for you. Dinner in the huts only for guests with reservation!

Accompanied by our mountain guide, we head from the Mastaun farmstead (1,640 m) along the stream into the Mastaun valley. After passing the Mastaun alpine hut (1,810 m), the tour heads into the rear part of the valley up to an altitude of approximately 2,000 m. During a pleasant rest, you can enjoy the tranquillity of nature and the quiet winter idyll. Afterwards, you return to the meeting point. Walking time: approx. 4-5 hours including breaks. SnowKids 2025! The unique SnowKids-week organised by the Sulden ski school & cable cars in collaboration with the Ortler holiday region offers a fantastic opportunity for children to learn to ski or improve their skills on the slopes.
