From game to game: Galloping into the Middle Ages is every spring the returning motto in the Dolomites region Seiser Alm. After the start at the Trostburg Castel in Waidbruck/Ponte Gardena the tournament goes on with four stages: at the Kofel/Mount Calvary in Kastelruth takes place the traditional ring jousting. The second game, the labyrinth, is on program at the Matzlbödele in Seis.The third of four stages takes place at the Völser Weiher lake with its gallop. The tournament concludes with the game at Prösels Castle, the ride through posts. Corpus Christi is an important feast in the liturgical calendar, during which the Catholic Church celebrates the presence of Christ in the Eucharist. A solemn procession, in which the consecrated host is carried in a monstrance through the village, expresses this faith. This tradition also has a firm place in Kastelruth, and we warmly invite everyone to participate. The celebration begins at 9:00 am with the Holy Mass in the parish church, followed by the procession at around 10:00 am, which will move through the village and return to the church. We kindly ask all guests and visitors to accompany the procession with respect, to maintain order, and to observe the event reverently along the route. Please avoid entering the procession aimlessly. Asfaltart turns 20 years old! 20 years full of passion, laughter, poetry and an incredible cultural mix! For three days there will be almost 200 shows, including concerts, circus performances, walking acts and clown acts, where many artistic groups with artists from all over the world will turn the popular city of Merano upside down. They will take visitors' breath away with acrobatics, dance, circus arts and clowning. The town center then turns into an open-air stage for clowns, trapeze artists, musicians and fire breathers. Your adventure week on the 3 Countries Enduro Trails! The main part of this week is spent exploring the region on the bike. Trained guides teach boys and girls aged 11 to 15 many tips and tricks in open terrain and on single trails. Among other things, trail basics such as balancing correctly, braking, riding on and over steps, climbing and descending, etc. are refined during this week and what is learned is put into practice on the 3 Länder Enduro Trails. Barthlmastag is an important Rittner vacation with a long tradition. It is celebrated annually on August 24 and takes its name from the patron saint of shepherds and farmers, St. Bartholomew. In the past, on this day, the farmers met on the Rittner Alm for the cattle drive and the subsequent market. The cattle of the farmers, who spent the summer on the alp, are herded together at the Saltner hut and driven in at noon with “Goasslschnoellen”, Saltner calls, neighing and yelling. The meeting point is a fenced-in area, the “Stricker Pfarrer”, where in earlier years the Barthlmas market took place, where the farmers met to do various business. Today the market takes place in Pemmern, where agricultural products from the region are offered. Since 1927, the spectacle has been accompanied by the Wangen music band, which has also provided food and drink since the 1960s. After this highlight on the Rittner Alm, the afternoon continues downhill to Pemmern, where the Almfest becomes a meadow festival with music and children’s programs. On Saturday, 12 September: On this day, about 1000 sheep return from the mountain meadows to the valley. The successful return of the animals is celebrated by farmers and guests. Tasty, typical dishes such as "Schöpsernes" are served. Sunday, 13 September: The goats return from the mountain pastures to the valley on this day and their arrival is celebrated with delicacies such as "Kitzbratl" as well as lots of good humour at the festival site.
