Winter is back — the Schwemmalm ski area officially kicks off the new season on December 6! Look forward to freshly groomed slopes, dreamy runs and the incomparable Schwemmalm panorama. Starting from the Kasern Nature Park House, visitors can expect a variety of Advent delights such as Christmas music, nativity scenes, etc. along the romantic winter hiking trail illuminated to the open Trinkstein huts

From San Candido it’s a short ride by minibus or private cars to the car park of Val Campo di Dentro. There we walk in the pale light of the full moon into Val Campo di Dentro. In the snow-covered larch meadows, we enjoy the moonlight and then hike back to the starting point.

Into the silence - a silent snowshoe hike

From San Candido we take the minibus or private cars via Santa Maria to Monte Rota. Here, we start our circular hike through snowy forest clearings with breath-taking views of the Dolomites. We learn to recognise animal tracks in the snow, to read scats and to assign vomit to specific animals.

A nighttime adventure you shouldn’t miss in winter!

At the Allriss Hut in the Pflersch Valley, you can enjoy moonlit tobogganing with friends and soak up the unique atmosphere of the winter mountains. Since the toboggan run is not illuminated, we recommend bringing a headlamp.

You can reach the mountain hut on foot in about 1 hour from St. Anton (Pflersch Valley).

The Allriss Hut is open every Tuesday and Friday until 10:00 p.m. (hot meals served until 8:00 p.m.).

Walk through San Candido to the starting point of the snowshoe hike (Parkhotel Sole Paradiso). First through the (hopefully) snowy spruce forest to Bagni di San Candido. Then a comfortable one and a half to two hour walk to the Rifugio Gigante Baranci (refreshment stop approx. 1 hour). Descent of your choice. You can opt to take the cable car. Otherwise, the walk back to San Candido via a different route takes one hour.

The way back is via the new 'Troi de Frëines' to the valley station of the Col Raiser cabin lift.

On a relaxed hike through the inviting villages, you will get to know Kiens/Chienes, discover the impressive development of the municipality and learn exciting stories from the past and present. Note: The hike is only in German and Italian. Accompanied by our mountain guide, we head from the Mastaun farmstead (1,640 m) along the stream into the Mastaun valley. After passing the Mastaun alpine hut (1,810 m), the tour heads into the rear part of the valley up to an altitude of approximately 2,000 m. During a pleasant rest, you can enjoy the tranquillity of nature and the quiet winter idyll. Afterwards, you return to the meeting point. Walking time: approx. 4-5 hours including breaks. Our leisurely circular hike starts at Gibitzplatz in Deutschnofen. From there, we follow the old Kirchsteig trail to the idyllically situated Wölflhof farm, where we plan to stop for lunch. Perhaps we will even discover traces of wild animals? Experiencing the winter silence of nature is a special treat for body and soul. Every slope has its own history and we could go as far as saying that it is quite a special one: after all, some of them were the stage of the 1970 World Ski Championships. Intermediate-level guided e-bike tour starting from the Colfosco Ski school, descending towards La Villa along the river, and then continuing along the river, from La Villa up to Armentarola. The return journey follows the same route. The route, ideal even in winter thanks to the bikes' electric assistance, equipped with studded tires, offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped Dolomites, where you can escape from everyday life and admire a fairytale landscape. After a brief stop at the Cross-country skiing centre Alta Badia bar to enjoy a hot chocolate with friends, the tour returns to Colfosco. The route is suitable for cyclists with some experience and good cycling skills, with moderate climbs and fun descents, all surrounded by the charm of winter nature.

We start with our hiking guide in front of the information office in Laion, where the cab will take us to Monte Pana (1600m). From here we take the shuttle (for a fee), he brings us to above Monte Pana. From here we hike trought the Ochsenwald and then to the Zallinger inn (2054m). Stopover at the hut followed by a joint toboggan run (for a fee) or by foot (by arrangement) down to Saltria, where a shuttle take us back to Monte Pana.
