What exactly is sustainable winegrowing? During a guided tour through the small vineyard, you learn about the ecology of vineyards. You gain an insight into how wine is produced sustainably, from planting and managing the vineyard to processing the grapes and reaching the final quality of the wine. The photography exhibition Every Child is LIFE celebrates the miracle of birth and the universal strength of life.

Dutch photographer Ilvy Njiokiktjien captured newborns in Peru, Mali, Mongolia and Bangladesh between 2018 and 2019, portraying with great sensitivity the most fragile yet powerful moment of existence.

A year later, Armenian photographer Anush Babajanyan returned to photograph the same children, creating a second chapter that tells a story of growth, resilience and the vital importance of continuous access to healthcare.

The visit to the photo exhibition is included in the entrance ticket of the Hofburg.

The Perlhof is a small winery run by Max Thurner and his family. It is located in Oberleitach in the St.-Magdalen region. With a lot of manual work and great passion, the grapes are gently processed and wines full of character are produced.

The authentic wine experience for all senses takes place in the newly created wing of the Cantina Kurtatsch. During the visit, you will gain fascinating insights into the importance of terroir, the variety of Kurtatsch’s vineyard sites, and its unique wines. The educational TERROIR Experience will lead you into the new dolomite barrique cellar with its natural rock wall and conclude with a tasting of 5 wines from our TERROIR line. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 18 people. Please note that dogs are welcome in our wine shop and on the terrace, but for hygiene reasons they cannot take part in the guided tours. Südtirols Süden Card: If you are in possession of the “Südtirols Süden Card”, please indicate this in the appropriate field when booking. The discount will then be applied automatically. The indication that you hold the Guest Card must be made during the booking process, as the discount cannot be granted retrospectively. Children are very welcome to join the guided tour. Ski tour for beginners and slightly advanced skiers accompanied by a mountain guide. Descent on skis from the mountain station Grawand to an altitude of around 2,700 meters. From this point you start the ascent in the open terrain, which, depending on the conditions, brings the group to 3,100 m (glacier terrain). After a short rest, a descent in soft powder awaits you. The prepared valley run takes you back to the starting point of the tour to Maso Corto/Kurzras. In the case of bad weather, the tour will start from Maso Corto/Kurzras.

The Plonerhof winery in Marling invites you to an exclusive wine tasting and cellar tour every Thursday at 3:00 PM, year-round (except during harvest). The guided tours take place in German on Thursdays and in Italian on Fridays.

Experience how passion and expertise create exceptional wines. During the tour, you will learn interesting details about viticulture and wine production. In the cellar, the secrets of winemaking will be revealed. Finally, the wine tasting completes this unique experience.

At the Plonerhof winery, a variety of wines are produced on steep vineyard rows with inclines of up to 40%. The house’s cuvées are especially impressive, standing out for their unique diversity and the combination of exceptional grapes. The winery is located in a unique position, where the interplay of climate, soil, and the mountain ranges around Merano creates ideal conditions for viticulture. The oldest church in the valley lies on the ancient path “Troi Paian” and is consecrated to St. Jacob – protector of pilgrims and hikers. You walk on an uphill path through picturesque meadow slopes and woods, reaching the St. Jacob’s Church. Once arrived, you should have a peaceful rest and enjoy the wonderful view over the Sassolungo Group.

Group ascent with the Schnalstal Valley Glacier Cable Car to 3,200 metres. We’ll cross the Hochjochferner accompanied by a mountain guide, experience the glacier in all its beauty, and learn many interesting and historical things. At the end of the glacier there is an ice cave at 2,800 m. After exploring the cave and taking a rest in this solitary alpine world, the path continues to the Schöne Aussicht Refuge and afterwards we descend to the Teufelsegghütte Mountain Hut. The Roter Kofel chair lift brings us back to Maso Corto/Kurzras around 3:30 p.m. Walking time: approx. 5-6 hours including breaks Difference in altitude: around 300 m in the ascent and 1,000 m in the descent (about 8 km distance) Number of participants: minimum 2 people (participation from 14 years) Requirement: good physical condition

First, you will gain insight into the seasonal work processes and learn firsthand how the grape makes its way into the bottle. After a tour of the Gothic cellars dating back to the 14th century, various wines will be tasted with the cellar master in the new tasting room. The tour usually lasts 2 hours. At 4:30 pm only in German!

For gourmets and connoisseurs: Every Friday, guided tour of the vineyards of the Rametz castle winery in Maia Alta/Merano with a visit to the wine museum and the historic cellar. Interesting information about wine specialities followed by a tasting of 5 wines. Shuttle service from Avelengo/Verano and back (minimum 4 participants). Only for guests from Hafling/Vöran. Photos and videos may be taken during the event for the purpose of documenting and promoting the event and the area. The recordings may be used and published on websites, social networks and in the media in compliance with data protection regulations.

Come and delve into a real-life wine experience at the bio farm Rielinger. The wine farmer will give you a tour of the vineyard, explaining the different grapes and their cultivation. We cultivate the white wine varieties Blatterle, Müller Thurgau, Kerner and Riesling as well as the red wines Schiava and Zweigelt.

After the vineyard tour you’ll hit the cellar where we show you how the wine is fermented and aged. At the end of the tour of course you may taste our in-house wines.
