Transart is a multidisciplinary festival ranging from music to dance, from figurative arts to performance. Together with its audience, it discovers the most contemporary, stimulating and artistic expressions, always attentive to the rhythm of time. "A TALK FROM REMOTE": In A Talk from Remote, the artist Marina Abramovic —joining from Manchester—speaks about her artistic practice and evolution. "NOVA SELVA SONORA": Nova Selva Sonora is a new project by the Azione_Improvvisa ensemble, aimed at exploring extremely rich and diverse sound worlds, in which the visual experience takes over to create a bridge with the sound dimension. At the heart of the project is a suggestion: that of a forest where time compresses and dilates, and where human presence becomes elusive or transposed, double or absent. The musical narration is entrusted to the four musiciansə of Azione_Improvvisa: Andrea Antonel on the theorbo, Margherita Berlanda on accordion, Pietro Paolo Dinapoli on electric guitar and Daniela Fantechi on electronics. For four days from September 18 to 21, the motto in Olang is: Go out together and collect trash at the CleanUP Days! The campaign is organized by the non-profit association Patron. In addition to Olang, eight South Tyrolean destinations are participating in the first edition. Registration and coordination of the routes will take place via the CleanUP Map (interactive map) at www.plasticfreepeaks.com. Here, participants can directly specify the date and route of their self-selected tour. The required CleanUP Kit for all those interested, consisting of a recyclable and reusable fabric bag and a pair of stainless steel pliers, can be picked up free of charge at the Tourist Office Olang before setting off.

Julian, an astronomy enthusiast, takes us with him during this night observation taking advantage of the total darkness to admire the beauty of the universe.

Alex Steger (*1991) hails from Welsberg. He has explored various fields of photography, yet his greatest passion has always been landscape photography. Whether traveling abroad or wandering through the breathtaking mountains of South Tyrol, he captured stunning natural scenes and unique moments with his camera. Following a serious accident in 2019, which occurred while he was photographing in the South Tyrolean mountains, he was compelled to reshape his life and discover new ways to express his creativity.

As part of the Clean Up Days, we’re joining forces to help clean up nature! Our starting point is the Kids World, where we’ll begin collecting litter together, equipped with trash bags and gloves. From there, we’ll hike up to the Angerer Alm – a beautiful trail with stunning views and the rewarding feeling of doing something meaningful. This initiative is part of our shared responsibility to protect the beauty of our mountains. Every discarded cup, every piece of packaging – it doesn’t belong in nature. Discover the history of the Antholz Valley together with Gerold. This leisurely hike follows the old paths of merchants, smugglers and soldiers and offers exciting insights into the region's past. The historical escape routes of Michael Gaismair and his army in 1525/26 as well as more recent escape routes from the 20th/21st century, which are shown in the exhibition in the form of pictures and photographs, are geographically divided into two presentation locations to the west and east of Bruneck: at LUMEN. Museum of Mountain Photography at Kronplatz focuses on Graubünden/Gadertal/Padua and Karwendel/Pyrenees/Western Alps, while at Museum Burg Heinfels the focus is on Zillertal/Salzburg/East Tyrol and Krimmler Tauern/Strandzha Mountains/Kurdistan. From the Ladin Museum we set off together to discover SMACH Val dl'Ert (Art Valley), an open-air sculpture park which in 2023 has one of the special mentions in the National Landscape Award sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Culture. Along the path you will see more than 25 works of art set in an alpine forest, among the fir trees and pastures of a stretch of unspoilt nature. This is a permanent exhibition of sculptures acquired as a result of the SMACH art competition, the Dolomites Biennale. After the guided tour in the Val dl’Ert you can independently visit the Ladin Museum where you can immerse yourself in the history, culture and traditions of the Ladin people. Accompanied by the instructors of the Bike School, enter the heart of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and be enraptured by the spectacle offered by the forests and mountains of the Dolomites. But it‘s not only your eyes that will be satisfied: you are in a true MTB paradise and can fully enjoy yourself in a rollercoaster of breathtaking ascents and descents. Please note: the route has a minimum altitude difference of 1000 m. To enjoy the experience at its best, and to make it accessible to everyone, we ask you to use an electric bike. The wolf is back! - A human exhibition The return of the wolf raises old and new questions: How much wilderness can the densely populated alpine region tolerate? What does this mean for our relationship with the wolf? How does the predator's presence change our landscapes, herds, and ourselves? The current wolf debate shows that it is not just about the wolf. This exhibition, curated by the Alpine Museum of Switzerland, looks at people and their relationship with the wolf. It shows the situation up to 2017, with people who deal with this animal by profession recounting their experiences. Many parallels can be drawn between Switzerland, which is characterized by an alpine landscape, and South Tyrol. In comparison, there are data from South Tyrol and the latest information on the wolf situation from the Office for Wildlife Management in South Tyrol.

Our natural and cultural history hike first takes us to Issing. After visiting the church of St Nicholas, we walk along the Pfaffensteig trail to the historic Maurerhof farm. There we take a short visit to the farm museum, which gives us an authentic insight into the way of life in earlier times. We then return to the starting point of the exploration tour. From growing fodder to rearing calves, to livestock farming with dairy products and processing them into tasty yogurt, butter and cheese. Even the energy is generated directly on the farm. Visitors can take a tour of the new barn and the new cheese dairy to learn about and follow the process from milk to cheese. Under expert guidance, they have the opportunity to make their own soft cheese with various spices to suit their individual taste and take it home with them.
