Living heritage of the Dolomites The travelling exhibition with 20 impressive panels was designed for the 50th anniversary of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park. The open-air exhibition shows pictures of the impressive landscape of the nature park and the diversity of flora and fauna. The exhibition also tells of the beginnings of the mountain refuges and of the people who live and work in the nature park. The exhibition travels to every village in the Dolomites region from June to October and is accessible free of charge.

“Morning is the golden hour”. Never a truer word was said, as you’ll see when you get to the Rosszahnscharte ridge high above the Seiser Alm and behold the glow of early-morning light over the Dolomites at dawn. A shuttle service will take you to the Seiser Alm. Together with the mountain guide, you hike towards Panorama and, later, cross the slopes of the Goldknopf at the foot of the Rosszahnscharte ridge. A narrow hiking trail then winds upwards in a steep ascent to the Rosszahnscharte ridge (2,499 m), for the breath-taking beauty of the sunrise. Just a few minutes’ walk from here will take you to the Tierser Alpl mountain refuge, where you can recharge your batteries for the descent with a mountain breakfast. The exhibition TRACES presents a selection of works by the artist Aron Demetz. Sculptures made of wood, bronze as well as digital scans and milled objects created in recent years are on display. An overview that reveals the different souls of the South Tyrolean sculptor: the poetic and expressive power of the figures, the absoluteness of the composition, the continuous experimentation with techniques and materials. Cultural roots of the region are conveyed with a contemporary approach. curated by Eva von Ingram Harpf The exhibition of the sculptures of Aron Demetz can be seen in the village center of Seis until mid-October.

The guided hike with Günther leads through old farmsteads and mountain restaurants, through sloping vineyards, chestnut groves and orchards. You will have the possibility to learn more about typical farms and the winegrowing during a wine tasting at the Prackfoler farm. The lunch with traditional dishes at the Innerperskoler farm inn is not only a culinary pleasure, it helps you to recharge your batteries for the hike back to the starting point. Wine tasting: the three wines from the Prackfolerhof will be tasted. Children receive juices for free. Lunch: The price includes appetizer, main course ("Schlachtplatte"), chestnuts (if available) and sweet "Krapfen". Drinks have to be paid extra.

"Farmer's Market" The village square of Kastelruth is blooming with peasant life. The farmer's market is an attractive way to get a mix of regional products and delicacies. The market is a perfect opportunity to spend the morning strolling through the alleys and buying local produce. Here you can find everything from fresh vegetables & fruits, bacon, cheese to various organic herbal products. Many stalls sell locally made products that are unique and distinctive to the region.

Farmers' market in the centre of the village of Seis am Schlern at the O.v.Wolkenstein square. Local farmers sell their products such as vegetables, fruit, cheese, juices and many other things.

Breakfast at its finest in the most beautiful mountain scenery you can imagine. Every Tuesday from 7:00 a.m., all year round, we offer a sunrise breakfast with South Tyrolean products by reservation. Pure culinary delights and alpine pleasure.

In the village center of Völs there is a weekly market every Wednesday from 08.00 a.m. - 12.00 noon.

Get up bright and early to enjoy the peace of morning while out hiking. What could be better than enjoying the peace and quiet of morning in the mountains? During the guided hike from Tiers to the Völsegg Peak, a breathtaking view of the Dolomites awaits you. In the family-run Tschafon mountain refuge between the the imposing Schlern Massif and the legendary Rosengarten Massif you will enjoy a special mountaineer breakfast featuring quality products from South Tyrol. In the late morning the hiking guide will take you back to Tiers. If you want to stay a little longer, you can relax on a blanket in the extensive meadow. DURATION OF THE HIKE (WITHOUT REST) 2:15 h to Völsegg Peak (4,1 km; 638 m uphill), 15 min from Völsegg Peak to Tschafon mountain refuge (0,8 km; 102 m downhill), 2:50 h from Tschafon mountain refuge passing Schönblick back to Tiers (8,5 km; 749 m downhill)

Film presentation of "Flurnamen rund um den Schlern". Afterwards, a discussion with local historian and field name expert Johannes Ortner, as well as Marianne Prieth and Nikolaus Malfertheiner. Finally, a small reception. The event is held in German.

We are taking the Bus at 9.00am from the bus stop "Tires Piazza fontana" until we reach San Caterina. There we start walking. On our way we visit the Chapel of the village with it's frescoes on the outside wall. We're going to pass by several Farms until we reach the last stop Castel Prösels. From there on we take the Bus back to tires. Approx. 4-5 hours of walking.

The beautiful historic center of Castelrotto once again provides the backdrop for the many small stalls that offer gifts, handicrafts, nativity figures, South Tyrolean products, herbs, candles and much more for sale to visitors. With mulled wine and fragrant cookies, homemade "Kastelruther Krapfen" visitors can listen to the Christmas music, escape the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle and experience a few contemplative moments. This year we will pass the time with handicrafts and games for our little visitors, while the adults can comfortably taste a fragrant mulled wine. Wise brass instruments, alphorn players, choirs and singers will round off the Christmas program.

„Christkindl wortn” - Christmas market at the church square of Völs To sweeten the wait for the Christ Child and conjure up a little light and warmth in the dark winter days, our church square with its majestic Christmas tree, atmospheric lighting and rustic market huts is transformed into a unique meeting place for our village community every year. The lovely local crafts, the warming mulled wine, the tasty treats and, above all, the very special music programme give us a pleasant feeling of togetherness.

Experience the guided snowshoe hike through the breathtaking landscape of the Seiser Alm. The tour is moderately difficult and allows a unique nature experience. Discover the beauty of the Dolomites while hiking along the snowy paths. Along the way there are many opportunities to admire nature and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Depending on weather conditions and snow depth, the route will be on a wide snowshoe trail or off the beaten path. On the way there are also always small breaks, where the group is informed about the alpine world. The mountain guide Helmut Kostner knows the area and the best hiking trails, to accompany the participants and you safely on accompany the tour.

In the village square, a charming small winter market takes place, where visitors can discover regional products and traditional South Tyrolean specialties. Various local delicacies are offered, along with warm winter drinks, inviting people to stay and enjoy the atmosphere while listening to the Christmas sounds of the accordion. The cozy ambiance and the selection of handmade goods and culinary delights make this market a special experience during the cold season.

The show is dedicated to all ways of doing sports and having fun in the snow: from the Ski Instructor show, inspired by the legend of King Laurino, to freestyle demonstrations and classic and modern telemark.

Experience an enchanting circular hike on the snowy plateau between Tiers and Welschnofen, where sparkling snowfields and majestic mountain panoramas allow you to fully immerse yourself in the winter serenity of South Tyrol. Tour Description: After ascending with the cable car from Tiers, we begin our hike at the Frommeralm hut. We hike past the Niger Pass and take trail No. 1 towards Schillerhof. Before reaching it, we turn towards Hagnerhof and continue on to Jocherhof. After a lunch break, we return to the starting point via Nigertal valley.
