Women (L)ife On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, a scenic, artistic and musical reading will take place, focusing on women, violence, and life thereafter. Created and performed by theatre educators from PlatThea, Platform for Theatre Education. Organized by the Educational Committee of Kastelruth. The event will be held in German.

On weekends and holidays, the village square of Kastelruth transforms into a charming Christmas world. At eight lovingly decorated stalls, you’ll find mulled wine, delicious Christmas cookies, handcrafted decorations, jams, wooden crafts, and much more. Live music creates a festive atmosphere, filling the square with Christmas sounds. Even the little visitors are not forgotten: right next to the Christmas market, the ice skating rink is open daily. Concert of the alphorn players on the village square of Seis am Schlern. When we talk about an "alphorn" today, we mean a long, straight wooden horn bent at the bottom. For centuries, horn instruments of different materials and shapes have been made and played on all continents. As early as the 16th century, the alphorn served not only as a call and signal horn, but also as a toy for shepherds and has become firmly established in the Alpine region in recent decades, with its own style of playing and dialect

In the village square, a charming small winter market takes place, where visitors can discover regional products and traditional South Tyrolean specialties. Various local delicacies are offered, along with warm winter drinks, inviting people to stay and enjoy the atmosphere while listening to the Christmas sounds of the accordion. The cozy ambiance and the selection of handmade goods and culinary delights make this market a special experience during the cold season.

On Saturday, December 13, 2025, Kastelruth transforms into one of South Tyrol’s most spectacular winter stages! 52 Krampus groups with around 1,000 “Tuifl” from South Tyrol, Trentino, Austria, and Switzerland will turn the village into a thrilling inferno of bells, masks, and smoke. The festivities begin at 2:00 PM, with music, food, drinks, and a warm, festive Christmas atmosphere in the village center. At 5:00 PM, the grand Krampus Parade starts at the Middle School, moving along Paniderstraße, through the village center past the Christmas market, and onto the show stage at the Dolomitenstraße intersection, where the groups will present their devilish shows, hosted live by two moderators. The approximately 950-meter-long route is well secured, so families with children can enjoy the spectacle up close. Food and drinks are available along the route for spectators. The Parade lasts until around 7:00 PM, and then the celebration continues! Join the Krampus party in the underground garage as well as the various local club stands in the village, for an evening of fun that lasts late into the night. An unforgettable experience for young and old – loud, wild, mystical, and thrilling! Don’t miss it when the Tuifl take over Kastelruth…
