FC Südtirol is the only professional football club between Innsbruck (Austria) and Trento (Italy). This makes it the most northern professional team in Italy. The Bolzano Concert Association is one of the oldest music organisers in Tyrol. It goes back to the Bolzano Music Society, which has been instrumental in the musical development of Bolzano since 1855. Since its foundation in 1855, its aim has been to organise an annual season of first-class classical music concerts in Bolzano almost without interruption. The first concert of the 2025 season takes us back to the era of the magnificent royal courts, with an ensemble that is still unique today. There is no comparable oboe group: La Petite Ecurié is a five-piece international ensemble consisting of baroque oboes (the French >hautbois< ), taille, baroque bassoon and historical percussion instruments, founded in 2018 (South Tyrolean percussionist Philipp Lamprecht is a founding member). Performing with this special ensemble will be trumpeter Bernhard Bär, who has an international career as a trumpet soloist with various renowned ensembles, Together they will perform 17th and 18th century works by Jacques Paisibles, Gottfried Finger, G. F. Händel, Arcangello Corelli and Henry Purcell.

Last year, ECM celebrated the release of yet another gem in its catalogue. Outpost of Dreams was reviewed by the press worldwide as a true masterpiece, once again paying tribute to and honouring the extraordinary performer Norma Winstone. Norma is truly a piece of modern jazz history. She approached jazz by listening to Ella Fitzgerald and Oscar Peterson on the radio, and in just a few years she became a true emblem of British jazz, her name long established in the pantheon of African-American music. There is no need to write about her talent and the beauty of her vocal introspection. Alongside her is Kit Downes, one of the best English pianists of recent decades. All this makes for a truly enchanting evening of delicacy, grace, elegance, intimacy, light, total intensity and rich creativity. The octogenarian Norma Winstone and the young Kit Downes demonstrate that there is no generation gap in music, but rather that the singer's rich experience and the pianist's fresh creative vein trigger a creative mechanism in which the incessant and equal dialogue between the two is capable of generating only grace and evoking a place where dreams find a voice, a tangible human dimension.

The photography of Chiara Bettazzi exists in a realm of proximity to the languages of sculpture and installation, sharing with them a vocabulary of everyday objects that shape her subjects. Initially conceived as a tool for observing and controlling the installation process, it later gained its own autonomy, engaging primarily with the register of still life. Her works are object-based compositions, first constructed on a horizontal plane – as vanitas or surrealist-inspired assemblages – and later overflowing beyond the table, finding other supports in found materials from the studio – ladders, screens, temporary structures – that trace precarious trajectories around which the cluster of objects takes on new sculptural forms. The photographic act captures ephemeral encounters between objects in a state of transience, destined to return to the anonymity of everyday life. It is a performative dimension of photography, especially when the artist reveals the gestures of arranging the objects, their accidental falls and displacements – standing on the threshold between composition and decomposition, scene and backstage, where the image continually reactivates the process, restoring to the object the possibility of a new, ever-changing form. Retroscena brings together a series of recent photographs featuring the recurring element of the ladder – an emblem of the scene’s construction – alongside a new installation that gives the exhibition its title. This site-specific work was created using backstage materials from Foto Forum’s storage, remnants of previous exhibitions. The installation unfolds longitudinally, cutting the space in half with an architectural surface made of openings and layers, becoming material traces of a sedimented time. Within this context, the artist invites the audience to move through the space and become part of the scene – observers and actors in a mirroring, dual environment, where front and back tend to coincide. In the folds of fabric and the fragments of objects, memory resurfaces as a visual archive, open to ongoing processes of excavation and refiguration. Chiara Bettazzi was born in Prato in 1977, where she lives and works. Her research explores a dual on the other, a poetics of the everyday object, oscillating between accumulation and discard. In 2015 she created an observatory on the recovery of industrial archaeology in the territory that takes the name Tuscan Art Industry, in collaboration with architectural historians, environmental biologists, artists, curators, and other professionals. Her photographs and installations reflect on transformation, developing in close relation to the industrial and urban landscape. Often site-specific, her works establish a strong dialogue with space and natural light. Her works are held in public and private collections including: La Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (Rome), Casa Masaccio Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea, Collezione Farnesina, Museo di Santa Maria della Scala, Castello di Ama, and Villa Rospigliosi. Fresh, authentic and open to anything that sounds different: Popcorner, a seven-piece ensemble from the Fassa Valley, is bringing new energy to the Ladin music scene. With an exciting mix of their own Ladin songs and international covers, they inspire with their youthful sound, strong voices and audible enthusiasm. Their first album, ‘Utar piata’, was recently released. Founded in 2023, Popcorner deliberately goes beyond mere cover versions: workshops on songwriting and music production have given rise to a new generation of Ladin pop music – modern, emotional and stylistically open. The name ‘Popcorner’ has a double meaning: ‘pop’ means ‘child’ in Ladin – but at the same time it is reminiscent of the pop music genre that forms the core of their style, and “corner” means ‘vagabond’ – a tongue-in-cheek allusion to their musical freedom.

On Thursday, November 27, 2025, the final concert of the KulturKontakt Eppan concert season will take place at the Ansitz Reinsperg in Eppan. The guest performer will be the internationally renowned bandoneonist Mario S. Pietrodarchi, who will present a program combining film, dance, and South American passion together with a string quintet. The program will feature works by Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, Roberto Di Marino, and Astor Piazzolla—composers whose music is characterized by emotional expressiveness and a close connection to film and movement. The program ranges from Morricone's well-known themes from Cinema Paradiso, Mission, and C'era una volta il West to Rota's homage to Federico Fellini, Di Marino's Suite mediterranea, and Piazzolla's tango classics Oblivion, Adiós Nonino, and Libertango. Mario S. Pietrodarchi graduated with honors from the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome in 2007 and has been performing worldwide ever since. He has worked with Andrea Bocelli, Angela Gheorghiu, and Michele Placido, among others, and is considered one of the outstanding bandoneonists of his generation. The 2026 concert season will also be presented during the evening. After the concert, all guests are invited to a reception. In addition, the Heinrich von Mörl Scholarship will be awarded. They are the luminaries of a cappella dialect music, and for some, even the most beautiful boy band in the world. More than 12 years have passed since the vocal ensemble first moved out of their rehearsal room in Vienna's Hermanngasse to make the world a happier place with their enchanting dialect singing. Hundreds of concerts testify to their thirst for adventure and a healthy dose of pioneering spirit. They have already been nominated twice for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award. With a proudly displayed shyness, they sing their not-so-harmless lyrics, sparing no one. They have released five albums full of songs, many of which – such as Knedl, Wegana, Elektroradl and Alles Tango – have already achieved cult status. In autumn 2024, the new album SEHR SOGAR marked another milestone in the band's history. The new record is as colourful, cheeky, loving and cool as the band itself, sometimes hip hop, sometimes schlager or even big pop, sometimes flashy, then again quite modest, incredibly diverse and yet seamless.

Between mosaics of colorful leaves on the ground and icy rain showers, October has also come to an end. Born out of a desire to slow down life and rediscover the joy of creating, Mooncraft is the new format developed by franz for the Parkhotel Mondschein, offering a series of workshops on traditional crafts reinterpreted by artists, designers, and contemporary creatives from the region. From paper art to ceramics, embroidery to cooking, the Mooncraft workshops offer the opportunity to experiment and rediscover the joy of “making” with your hands. The first workshop will take place on Saturday, November 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Parkhotel Mondschein, led by Elisa Barison, curator and flower farmer. A passionate and respectful lover of the nature that surrounds her, she grows the plants and flowers she uses for her creations herself. During the workshop “L'art de la table (festive),” she will show us how to make natural decorations from plants, flowers, and fruits to adorn our tables during the holidays. Bring an apron, work gloves, decorations of your choice, and lots of enthusiasm to participate, and let Elisa's experienced hands guide you.
