Since 2023, a magnificent summit cross has stood at the peak of the so-called Litzer House. A beautiful circular hike guarantees hiking fun and scenic highlights.

Tip: The hike to the Litzer House can be extended to the Litzer Lakes.

The Lazinser Rötelspitze/Cima Rossa Summit (3,037 m) is one of the most popular summits in the area of Meran/o and environs in the Texel Group Nature Park!

The Alpe Cisles, the barren landscape of Puez and Vallunga are of unique natural beauty and therefore part of the Puez-Odle Nature Park and the Dolomites UNESCO site.

The Roteck/Monte Rosso peak is the highest three-thousand-meter peak in the Texelgruppe Nature Park. Due to the long and partly steep ascent through the Zieltal, this tour is best divided into two days. The Lodnerhütte can be used as an overnight accommodation.

This lengthy summit climb requires stamina but rewards the effort by passing three gorgeous mountain lakes. The itinerary takes you through the Altfasstal valley to the Wieser refuge or the Pranterstadl hut, from where the ascent starts to the large Seefeld lake, at almost 2,300 m. Follow the Seefeldbach creek until you reach the Seefeld hut (not open to the public), then branch off slightly to the left, always following the signposts to Mt. Seefeldspitze.

You can reach the forcella by foot or by taking a rustic gondola lift with a magnificent view of the Stone City below.

From the Staller Saddle (2.050 m) > Oberseehütte (2.017 m) > proceed on the left to the Jägerscharte (saddle, belaying-securing with rope) > short ascent to the Almerhorn > back to the Jägerscharte > further on to the Barmerhütte partially going across glaciers > follow the mark n. 112 to the Riepenscharte (saddle, 2.764 m) > descent to the Lake Antholz (mark n. 39).

The solitary hike through untspoilt nature

In order to climb the summit of king Ortles at 3905m, you should stay the day before at the Julius-Payer hut (3.029m). After spending the night at the hut, you will climb up to the "Wandl", which is probably the technically most difficult part of the entire ascent. Now we cross the somewhat steep traverse at the upper end of the "Eisrinne", which has meanwhile become outdated in the upper section and which leads us over the "Bärenloch" up to "Tschierfegg" where the biv. Lombardi is located. This section has become more difficult in recent years due to the severe glacier retreat and you have to overcome a challenging ramp. The "Tschierfegg" is immediately followed by crevasse-rich terrain and a rather steep slope. Above we reach the gentle Ortler plateau where the ascent to the summit is moderate.

The Ilmenspitze is one of the most prominent and most visited mountains in the southern ridge of the Ulten Valley. At the summit you are rewarded with a special view of the glaciers at the head of the Ulten valley, but also of the mighty mountain massifs of the Brenta and Adamello groups.

High above Partschins/Parcines sits the well-known local mountain of Partschins/Parcines, the Zielspitze summit!
The three-thousand-metre peak is the first peak in the ridge between the Zieltal and Schnalstal valleys and at the same time the southernmost foothill of the Texel Group Nature Park.

This mountain tour starts at the Fane Alm car park and leads you through a rocky gorge known as
Schramme, all the way up to the Brixner hut. Behind the hut you will find the trail that branches off in the direction of the Wurmaulspitze peak.

The Gleckspitze in the Ultental Valley is the highest and westernmost mountain of the ridge between the Kirchberg Valley and Weißbrunn. Although it is an almost three thousand metre high mountain, the difference in altitude is limited. The route over the extensive pastures of the Weißbrunnalm with its mountain lakes is particularly scenic. From the summit you are rewarded with a magnificent view of the mountains of the Ultental Valley and the Rabbital Valley and the Ortler group.

This rewarding summit tour offers a fantastic view on the Rieserfernergruppe/Vedrette di Ries mountain range high above the valley basin of Brunico.

From the Staller Saddle (2,050 m) follow the marking no. 7 to the right into the Agsttal valley, there over a stony ascent to the Rotwand summit. 
You can descent on the same path or steep downhill to the Steinzger Alm (mark nr. 7a) > Lake Antholz.

The Alpine Path of Toblach/Dobbiaco is a strenuous hike due to the km and is therefore only suitable for hikers with stamina. This high trail leads along the Austrian-Italian state border and offers a wonderful view of the Dolomites and the main Alpine ridge. The Bonnerhütte/Rifugio Bonner, the Marchhütte/Rifugio March, the Steinbergalm/Malga Steinberg and the Silvesteralm/Malga San Silvestro invite you to take a break.

The tour can also be done as a 2-day tour with an overnight stay in the Bonnerhütte/Rifugio Bonner.

Mountain hike towards Villgraten (Austria)

The starting point is on the Merano High Trail following route n° 24, reachable in 5 minutes using the Texelbahn cableway. In good weather, the Ornknott peak has a wonderful of the entire Adige valley with the Dolomites in the distance.
 

The high mountain tour from Solda across the Madriccio Pass is a slightly steep path to the Passo del Madriccio, where you can enjoy a fabulous panoramic view. Marvel at Ortler, Zebru and Gran Zebru as well as at the glaciers around Cima Cevedale and Monte Cevedale. Also the descent to the Rifugio Martello and Rifugio Corsi is absolutely a highlight.

The Mandlspitz rises northeast above Proveis and those who take on the sometimes very steep climb will be richly rewarded by a great mountain experience.

This hike at the foot of the southern Stubai Alps is less visited even though it has a very attractive landscape and leads through an untouched mountain world. From the parking area at the Mining World Museum walk on path no. 28 up to the managed mountain pasture Moarerbergalm (Poschhaus). Leave the path no. 28 at the foot of the rock face towards St. Martin at the Schneeberg and walk at the right side, where you reach path no. 33 to the Moarer Eget lakes in about 1 ½ hours. At the pass Egetjoch (2639m) you reach the highest point of this hike and walk downhill either left past the Eget lakes (no. 33a) or directly down to the lake Trüber See. You need approx. 2 hours for the descent down to the valley. Condition and surefootedness necessary! (There is also the possibility to go up to the Moarerbergalm by bus.)

The tour to the Monte Cevedale is one of the best peaks for mountain views in the Ortler region.
This tour to Monte Cevedale is extremely popular among hiker. After all, it’s an easy tour that rewards visitors with breathtaking Alpine panoramas.

Wonderful circular hike from the hamlet Tesselberg, over 3 peaks with stunning views.

The “Franz Huber Trail” is a high-alpine and scenically magnificent climb from the Lodnerhütte hut (2,259 m) in the Zieltal valley to the Tablander Alm hut on the Merano High Mountain Trail. Those who have the necessary endurance, sure-footedness will love this section.
Attention: this hike is only for trained and experienced mountaineers who do not suffer from vertigo and who are in good physical condition and surefooted. In addition, the descent is exceptionally long!

From Fane Alm (1,741 m), the prettiest Alpine-farm village in South Tyrol, follow trail no. 17 as it climbs gently through the "Schramme" gorge to the Brixner Hütte mountain hut (2,282 m). Here you can often see marmots on the hillsides to the left and right. The trail continues over the Sandjöchl saddle (2,651 m), then, where the trail forks, you continue on trail no. 2A and along the ridge on the difficult mountain trail no. 2 to just before the peak, where trail no. 18 takes you up to the summit cross (3,132 m). The highest peak in our Alpine-pasture region rewards hikers with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. The descent takes you steeply down along trail no. 18 and over the Rauhtaljoch ridge (2,807 m). Below the trail you can see the Wilder See lake, which is a stunning azure blue in fine weather. Due of the altitude and the surrounding mountains, there can be sudden extreme changes in the weather here, which probably gave the lake its name. At Langeben take trail no. 18B, past the little Marblsee lake (2,399 m) and the Aschila Alm Alpine farm (2,255 m) back to where you started at Fane Alm.

The Punta Beltovo di Dentro/Hintere Schöntaufspitze is one of the easiest three thousand metre peaks in South Tyrol. From its peak you can enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains of the Martell Valley. On the way to the peak you can stop at the rif. Madriccio to get some refreshments.

The popular Tschigat summit (Tschigot) is one of the 13 peaks in Partschins/Parcines rising above 3,000 meters.
