The two viewpoints, Rotwand and Rotenstein, are located above the Laives/Leifers mountain hamlet of La Costa/Seit and offer a marvellous view down over Laives and across the valley to the Mendel range (Mendelkamm), as well as towards Kaltern/Caldaro and Eppan/Appiano.

From the Schneiderwiesen inn, Rotwand can be reached in about 45 minutes and Rotenstein in a further 15 minutes. Start by following trail no. 1, passing the “Blauer Herrgott” shrine, then keep left until trail no. 1B branches off, leading to the Rotwand viewpoint. After enjoying the view, return to trail no. 1 and follow it to the "Totes Moos" biotope. Just before the biotope, take trail no. 1A, which leads all the way to Rotenstein.

The Haflingerhof is one of the highest-altitude farmsteads in South Tyrol, and welcomes guests throughout the year. It offers chiefly horseback rides to refreshment stations, meadows, and mountain summits. But even inexperienced horseback riders can learn the basics.

The farmstead is approx. 8 km from Sarnthein / Sarentino Village, at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea-level, with a magnificent view.

Riding lessons for everyone: Here at the farm „Kaserhof“ a team of highly qualified experts awaits you to familiarize you with all the stunning facts about horses, its needs and its distinctive characteristics. Our coworkers Elisabeth Schröpfer (certified physiotherapist, hippotherapist and riding instructor for therapeutic riding for handicapped people) and Lisa Nothdurfter (VHS rider’s certification, VFS riding instructor for guided tours and trekking, certified orthoptist) teach you with pleasure everything connected to horseback riding.... Lamatrekking

The mountain peak “Sarner Scharte” (2,468 meters above sea-level) rises directly above the Sarnthein/ Sarentino Village. Starting-point: The farm Hallerhof parking lot or the farm Riedlerhof. Then proceed along the meadows lined by larches and through the forest. After approx. 30 minutes, you'll come to the crossing at the edge of the forest. Do not proceed along the usual way. Instead, continue straight ahead through a small meadow until you come to the start of a narrow footpath that ascends steeply through thick spruces until you come to under the walls of the mountain peak “Sarner Scharte”. At the end, you'll come to a field of boulders which you should cross by making a sharp right turn until you come to the watering place. From the watering place, you can reach all of the entry-points.

Our horses, properly trained, are reliable animals. They are given loving care and sympathy as a reward for their gentle behaviour. We can offer rides through landscapes rich in legends on strong horses, expressive, sweet and safe.

In the course of the project "Respect the Mountains", the certified fountains of the municipality of Jenesien were collected and published. The fountains invite you to fill up reusable bottles with fresh and high-quality drinking water.

The farm Bacherhof does not only offer you a petting zoo for children, but also traditional South-Tyrolean delicacies as well as daily guided riding tours and rides on the back of ponies for the young.

The farm Oberfahrerhof in Flaas near Jenesien offers you full-day riding, half-day riding, riding lessons and carriage rides for people of all ages in front of a beautiful mountain view.

In the heart of Bolzano’s historic old town, the eight floors and 2,500 m² of the SPORTLER Alpine Flagship Store are a true hub for mountain enthusiasts. Superlatives are the norm here: the largest mountain sports store in South Tyrol, featuring the province’s most extensive footwear department, offers a massive climbing section in summer and the widest selection of ski touring gear in winter.

The new SPORTLER Alpine Flagship Store is the base camp for all alpinists, providing the right gear for trekking, climbing, and hiking—as well as for expeditions and intercontinental adventures.

A truly unique feature of this store is its famous wooden statue collection, which includes around fifteen life-size statues of the most renowned mountaineers.

Gentle, buggy-friendly promenade walk on the southern slopes of Bolzano

The walk near the city provides visitors with countless breath-taking views and can be recommended at all times of the year. Even in deepest winter there are plenty of opportunities for observing nature, as the local microclimate ensures that it is exceptionally mild here throughout the year. We’re always surrounded by a thriving natural environment and, although the promenade is artificially laid out and has been landscaped in many places, this is nevertheless a retreat where unspoilt nature can be enjoyed.

The tennis court is in front of the open-air swimming pool. There are 3 sand courts. In wintertime the tennis courts become an ice-skating rink.

The earth pyramids in Nobls/Jenesien are fascinating geological formations dating from the last Ice Age. Here, the red clay soil of the large 'Wieser Lahn' landslide area stands out clearly from the surrounding meadows and forests, allowing the impressive earth pyramids to appear in all their glory. These unique natural wonders are not only a popular destination for hikers but also an impressive example of the power of nature. Additionally, the 'Wieser Lahn' contains the source of the Margarethen creek, a vital watercourse that flows down into the Adige Valley toward Siebeneich. A visit to the earth pyramids promises an unforgettable experience amid a breathtaking landscape!
