The Chapel was built in the Selva's graveyard to commemorate all mountaineers who die in the Dolomites in Val Gardena. Their names are engraved in a large coper book.

"Nadel da mont", this is what this unique Christmas market, with mountain village character in Selva Val Gardena is called. The idyllic village of Selva is located in the heart of the Dolomites and offers endless ski fun thanks to the connection to the ski carousel "Sellaronda". From the 7th of December to the 6th of January a touch of slope flair will be brought into the village center of Selva. Original Christmas cabins will be floating over many luminous huts and creating a magical Christmas world that can be experienced with all senses.

The 1, 2 and 3-km cross-country ski tracks (signposted in blue and green) are located in the first flat section and are ideal and highly recommended for beginners. The 5-km training track is suitable for experienced cross-country skiers (signposted in red); it is also certified for national cross-country races. For a longer cross-country tour (signposted in black), it’s possible to cross the entire valley in a 10-km long circuit whilst enjoying views of a fantastic mountain landscape, the Stevia and the Chedul Group, as far as the “Pra da Ri” meadow.
The cross-country school and ski rental are at the beginning of the slopes.

From June to September in Val Gardena the youngsters can discover and get to know real adventure and discover their own talents in a great Dolomites setting, and of course be accompanied throughout.

The carved-wood monument in memory of the famous mountaineer is found under the "Parei de Ciampac" rock wall, in Vallunga, where Comici fell to his death in 1940. He made over 200 first ascents in the Dolomites, he was the director of the ski school in Selva and town mayor between 1938 and 1940.

Founded in 1937, the Selva Ski and Snowboard School is the first ski school in Val Gardena and proudly the largest in all of South Tyrol.
