In our restaurant in Ums/Völs am Schlern we focus on fresh local produce. Almost all the herbs, vegetables and fruit we use come from our own vegetable garden and orchards. We love to spoil you with the delicious food we make: the owner – a keen chef – Florian Harder will prepare the best dishes of the traditional South Tyrol cuisine as well as typical Italian food for you. He passionately adds a personal twist to traditional recipes making tasty dishes that can satisfy any culinary taste. He prepares and decorates his tasty creations with such a love for detail that they will be a pleasure to look at. Anyone who wants to watch him cooking is welcome to step into the kitchen! Our assortment of wines includes those made in South Tyrol as well as top-quality Italian and foreign specialities. We suggest the wine best suited to bring out the flavour of any dish you choose. Our spacious basement offers the possibility to celebrate your wedding, your birthday, your family celebration or your anniversary in a rustic full of Story ambience. Besides homemade products, which mainly counts our tender beef, we offer products of Völser farmers and farms.

We try to develop a close collaboration between the region’s agriculture and the tourism sector. RUSTIC - The old farmhouse parlour is more than 150 years old and comes from Val Pusteria. This special wood spreads a very pleasant and cosy atmosphere. COSY - Using a professional mixture of tradtional and modern style and the combination of the old wood from local forests with natural stone and glass create this special alpine flair AUTHENTIC - Food should be consumed there where it is grown and harvested – according to this principle we are buying food, ingredients and drinks from local farmers of the area.

The hotel traditions, the warm atmosphere and the rich menu guarantee you of a serene holiday. The attractive dining room provides an ideal setting where you can savour our simple, yet delicious, cuisine. Our chef is also at the disposal of those who, for particular reasons, need to keep to a special diet.

À la carte breakfast & bistro Like the mighty Sciliar, watching over the village, the Regina also belongs to Siusi. We are well aware of the tradition this establishment holds and therefore follow the motto "back to the roots". We believe in quality over quantity. Fresh dishes prepared daily from seasonal and regional products, a great love of detail and a huge portion of passion - even in the simplest dishes.

Our house is family run and located on the southern town entrance about 200 metres from the village centre.

Creative regional cuisine is the forte of Hannes Pignater and his motivated team. A combination of new elements and the culinary tradition of this land of mountain farmers – based on quality produce from South Tyrol mainly sourced directly from the growers. The result: authentic original dishes like omelette with meadow herbs, hay-roasted lamb...

The Schgaguler Schwaige mountain hut, lying at 1905m near the mountain station of the Ortisei / Alpe di Siusi cable car, opened in 1991. The hut is easily reached regardless of the season, whether during a bike tour or hike in summer or as part of a ski tour or snowshoe hike in winter. The spacious terrace is perfect for an outdoor lunch and guests can head to the garden to relax and sunbathe in the deckchairs. There is a playground and a small petting zoo nearby, where rabbits, goats, ponies and even lamas look forward to a visit from the children. The rustic interior is in traditional rustic style and includes a Stube perfect for spending time in good company - often for longer than expected, especially in winter! Tasty homemade traditional South Tyrolean dishes are all freshly prepared using the farm’s own products. The Heubad á-la-carte restaurant is equally appreciated by locals and hotel guests. The restaurant guide "Gault MIllau" is considering it one of the best restaurants in South Tyrol and awards it for years with a "toque" and 13 points. With its creative blend of South Tyrolean tradition and Mediterranean lightness, both for lunch and dinner it is a welcome addition to the delicious half board.

Our traditional inn has been owned by the Baumgartner family since 1850. We have recently restored it with an eye for the detail so that it is still as cozy and welcoming as it used to be. The annexe houses several apartments for those who want to keep to themselves and enjoy their holidays independently.

The Alpine Star hut is located at 2,045 m above sea level in the middle of the Schlern-Rosengarten nature park. The tranquility of nature, the magnificent all-round panorama of the fascinating mountains of the Dolomites and the lake make this place special. The Alpine Star hut is easily accessible by foot, by mountain bike or by horse-drawn carriage. You can reach the hut on hiking trail number 7 from Compaccio. It takes about 1 hour. We are closed when the weather is bad, as we only have tables and seats outside.

The Almrosen hut is accessible via trail no. 7 from Compaccio/Compatsch and via the Hans-and-Paula-Steger trail, which also starts in Saltria. It is the ideal starting point for hikes to the Sciliar/Schlern mountain, the Gruppo del Catinaccio/Rosengarten, and the Sasso Lungo/Langkofel and Sasso Piatto/Plattkofel mountains.

The Malga Laranzer Schwaige is situated in 1925 m at Saltria near the station on top of the Floralpina skilift. The Hans & Paula Steger Path, which leads you from Compatsch via meadow and alpine places to Saltria, passes directly the Malga Laranzer Schwaige. The panoramic view to Saltria, the Lang- and Plattkofel and the mountains of Val Gardena is wonderful!
