All types of bread from Mittereggenhof are carefully handmade from local rye and spelt. The grain for this is ground in our own mill. The stone oven gives the bread and pastries a special taste. No preservatives or other additives are used.

Just outside Merano, on the way to the Val Venosta, a complex of buildings perfectly kept within their surroundings catches the eye. They are decorated in a graceful, highly tasteful manner and almost blend in with the flourishing local vegetation. Anyone who is curious enough to ask for the name of this “village” – because that´s what it looks like at first – will simply receive the answer “That’s FORST”. It is not called the “beer factory” or the “brewery”, but “FORST”. The name is inherently linked with the local area. It stands for tradition and love for nature, but also for striving to ensure that the quality of its products remains consistently high. Traditional and modern values go hand in hand, making positive contributions to each other: this is the guiding concept of FORST.

The visits of the FORST Brewery are held every Wednesday from April to October at 14.00 o’clock in German language and every Thursday from June to September always at 14.00 in Italian. There is no guided tour in English available. Participation is possible by prior telephone arrangement at 0039 0473 260111, registrations by e-mail cannot be considered.

The 1st bakery of farmhouse bread in Tesimo is opened once a week. On that day you can buy fresh farmhouse bread.

The Torgglerhof is a fruit and wine farm, a place of recreation, a vacation home. And Schenna's first farm distillery. In 2016, the distillery starts operating in the former dungeon.

Where centuries ago prisoners waited for their interrogation, today noble drops are distilled in the wood-fired copper kettle, from what grows on local land. Care and attention to detail ensure that the full flavour of the fruit reaches the bottle intact.

The farm Obertimpflerhof is situated in Vöran, a village above Merano which lies 1,280 meters above sea level.

Franz keeps his pigs on the pasture and in the stable on and around his farm, where they have access to clear mountain air and a lot of space to run free. That and GMO-free feeding is the secret for farmer Innerhofer’s high quality pork meat. In traditional and artisan production it is processed to well-known South Tyrolean speck and other local pork specialties.

Val Venosta is regarded as the perfect home of the apple - dry, abundant sunshine and yet not too warm and the perfect altitude. In Naturns, over 340 members deliver their harvest to the Texel cooperative, which is responsible for storage, sales and marketing.

Apples delivered directly by the producer can be bought in the in-house retail shop.

Oswald has discovered woodturning for himself and transforms every piece of wood into a decorative element.

Mountain cheese, herb or flower cheese, pepper cheese, soft cheese, butter or yoghurt - our natural products from the farm's own cows' milk ar special.

Through the window of the new farm shop you can watch the cheese making.

Bergauf in Pracupola/Kuppelwies is a small social cooperative in Val d'Ultimo/Ultental Valley, which has set itself the task of buying sheep wool from the farmers of the valley and to process it locally. This results in a valuable, domestic raw material being refined in the valley and creating jobs. Last, but not least, woolly feel-good products are lovingly handmade, which many can enjoy: wool slippers, placemats, seat covers, blankets and gloves.

The variety of flowers around Proveis gives the natural bee honey from the Mairhofer apiary its unique taste.

The heritage-listed farm from the 12th century is located in Pracupola/Kuppelwies, at the beginning of the Höfeweg, in the middle of a farm group behind the Schwemmalm cable car. He is one of the oldest farms of the Ultental.

The spices and herbs from the organic herb garden are harvested with the utmost care, dried and later processed into herbal teas and many other herbal products.

sea.wies is a small fine shop in the middle of a cozy café with the best products from the Val d'Ultimo and Alto Adige. Here, take a piece of our home after. Alpine cheese, farmer cheese, goat cheese, bacon, wine brandies, organic bread, decoration, wool products, wood clocks, jewelry.

All our products are made according to biological procedures controlled and certified by BIOLAND. The ingredients come exclusively from their own cultivation in our farm and are complemented by herbs and wild flowers that we collect ourselves.

Since 1948, we have processed local mountain sheep wool into felting wool, knitwear, socks, duvets, pillows and more.

Our in-house tailoring produces the typical “Sarner” jackets, as well as walking jackets fit to size and personal taste, individually and uniquely.

We also stock fashion and accessories from selected fair fashion labels in our store.

The syrups and salts from the Riemerhof farm are carefully handmade. The renunciation of any dyes and flavor enhancers is the guarantee for a pure natural product from the in-house garden and the mountain meadow.

Our farm shop also offers mouth-watering, homemade produce including jams, juices, syrups, dried fruit, Kaminwurzen, free-range eggs, fruit liqueurs, herbal teas and soaps, herb salts, marigold (calendula) ointments, as well as freshly-picked berries and other varieties of local fruit – depending on the season.

Bring your family to visit our domestic livestock farm ... which includes ponies, cows, pigs, goats, rabbits, ducks and a few chickens.

“Pröfing” is derived from “grafting” and, in the vernacular, means something like plant refinement. Just as the fruit trees were once refined and furred, today farmer Annemarie lovingly refines the fruits of our farm. In 2014 we decided to farm the Pröfinghof organically. Of course, this also includes biodiversity and so it came about that more and more fruits and vegetables, berries and herbs were planted around our farm. Since 2015 we have also been offering all of these processed treats in the small farm shop!

In our family farm shops we sell: vegetables and fruits of the saison, fruit spread, juices, cyser (apple mead), dried fruit, eggs, and honey from our bees.

The organic farm Stöckler Hof is located in Lana, right on the Brandis Waalweg. There is also a small farm shop where homemade products such as red wine vinegar, Weirouge apple chips, jams, fresh eggs, and the organic white wine "Genuin" are offered. Depending on the season and availability, seasonal fruits are available. Llama felt products made from our own llama wool are also part of the assortment.

Every day, Edith processes the milk from her Saanen goats in the farm's cheese into cream cheese, soft cheese, semi-hard cheese or yoghurt.

In our family distillery, we transform the very best of ingredients from South Tyrol into the heights of excellence. Pears from Marling, stone pine from the Villandro Alp and pomace from the vineyards around Merano. Over the past 75 years, we have become experts in the art of distilling. Having brought this experience together with a sensitive touch and love for experiments, we create spirits that are overflowing with charisma. Their quality begins with the fruit tree, the vineyard and the herb garden. And from this point onwards we accompany our ingredients with a vigilant eye, right up to the moment it goes into the bottle. With our manual work and constant monitoring, quality is always at the forefront of our minds. Because it is the subtle nuances that give our brandies, spirits and liqueurs their character.

In 1947 Ignaz Unterthurner produced the first spirits in the Priami Manor in Marling. Stephan and his wife Renate have now brought our story into its third generation. We have modernised it with the greatest of sensitivity and care. Everything that we distil in the clear glass cube is available in our atmospheric vaulted shop. Our range counts over 60 spirits, in all categories: brandies, liqueurs, grappa, digestifs, gin and rum. We have not yet exhausted all the possibilities of distilling. We remain curious.

At the butcher "Tisner Speck" in Tesimo it is possible to buy traditional "Southtyrolean Speck", "Kaminwurz", ecc.

Mathias Lamprecht operates a farmer's distillery at the Lahnerhof where he produces delicious fine distillates.

The farm buildings, which have protected monument status, date from the 12th century and have been owned by the Lamprecht family for over 100 years. Through careful restoration and renovation work, the former laundry room has been converted into today's distillery, in which Mathias Lamprecht produces single-variety spirits from the various fruits growing on the farm.

The historic walls radiate a sense of tradition and history, but above all when tasting the farm's own produce the maker's enthusiasm and warmth can be felt. By arrangement it is possible to undertake a guided tour of the distillery, and taste and buy the fine spirits. In addition there is also a large cellar that is available to use for celebrations.

We are a small farm dairy and we produce various cheeses from raw milk and yogurt with different flavors. We only work with the milk of our own cows, which are feeded only with hay. Until our cheeses go on sale, they are turned and brushed every two days. We offer home delivery and sell our products in selected shops and also at our selling point "Kashittl" (Moarhans) in Caprile (see opening hours).

In our shop you can get freshly slaughtered, filleted and smoked fish specialities every day. We also have a large selection of fresh sea fish. High quality is our focus. The long experience in trout farming, the water from our spring and a mountain stream are the best prerequisites for this. Enjoy healthy fish !
