This year, the Sterntaler Christmas Market in Lana becomes even more inviting. The enchanting backdrop of the historic Capuchin Garden contributes to the cozy atmosphere, hosting nearly 20 Christmas stalls during the Advent weekends – from November 28 to December 25, 2025.
Small fir trees adorned with shiny red ornaments and the warm glow of luminous spheres surround the lovingly decorated stalls offering genuine South Tyrolean handicrafts.
An engaging program for the whole family – including ponies and sheep, a glitter workshop, and a hands-on circus, all set to the sounds of festive live music – completes the experience and promises unforgettable moments of enjoyment.
On December 31, 2025, only the culinary stalls will be open.

Cozy, well almost contemplative – that’s the best way to describe the ambience at Ritten's Christmas Market, the Christmas Train Market (“Christbahnl”). The snow falls softly from the sky, Christmas carols gently jingle across the square and a fragrance of freshly baked goodies fills the winter air.
That’s why the Christmas Train Market offers a comforting contrast to the hustle and bustle of many other Christmas markets in South Tyrol. Here, the calm and peace of the holiday season remains preserved. The gourmet stands at the markets in promise comfort and feel-good food of finest quality along with delicious hot punch to warm you right through to your bones.
The small but exquisite Christmas market takes place in four different locations: in Oberbozen at the Ritten railway station and in the village centre of Klobenstein, as well as in the railway station building in Klobenstein and in the historic Plattner Bienenhof in Wolfsgruben. The Ritten Railway connects the locations every half hour.

The Merano Christmas Market provides a magical atmosphere, with daily
concerts, children’s entertainment, local customs and handicrafts. There are other Christmas markets in Merano and Environs too, offering textiles, jewelry, ceramics, glass and wooden objects. Closed on 25th December.

On the first Sunday in Advent, the House of Culture in Steinegg is transformed into an atmospheric Christmas market, organised by the charity women of Steinegg. The traditional market offers a warm atmosphere, lovingly designed stands and a diverse range of handmade products, delicious treats and festive decorations.
The special thing about this Christmas market is that all the net proceeds go to charity. The 20 or so active members of the association and numerous supporters from Steinegg and the surrounding area work hard to make this day a very special event.
Immerse yourself in the pre-Christmas atmosphere and do good at the same time.
For more than half a century, the "Nikolauskommitee Schlanders" has been introducing the old South Tyrolean tradition of St. Nicholas parade. Passing the retirement home and the hospital, St. Nicholas runs with his carriage through the center to the Plawennpark, where the celebration ends.
From 2 pm more than 100 "Krampus" are around in the pedestrian Zone of Silandro.

3.30 p.m. Schellen Race - children draped with goat herding bells, stroll along the village. On their way the children are tossed nuts, mandarin oranges and candies.

Farmers and handcraft offer music, culinary delicacies, punch, hot wine, different handicrafts and natural products. The Farmers’ Advent takes place at the secondary school park (near the train station) of Klobenstein/Collalbo from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
You will hear historical and current facts about Marling and one or two Christmas stories on the evening lantern walk through the village center of Marling. You will be accompanied by our local guide Johanna.
After the evening walk, you’ll be welcomed at the pavilion in Marling with sweet pastries, a glass of Marling wine, or a refreshing South Tyrolean apple juice, the perfect way to conclude a unforgettable evening.
