This is often compounded by powerlessness, helplessness, loneliness and many unanswered questions: Have I done something wrong? Why is it exactly me? A loss around birth should be dealt with well. Otherwise, the feelings and thoughts keep catching up with us. With the result that we simply function and can hardly allow any pleasant feelings. The speaker, herself the mother of two star children, will give us an insight into her work with those affected. The workshop delves deeper into the topics of grief, pain, comfort and dealing with feelings and thoughts. Above all, it is about finding the meaning behind what has happened and thus leading a happy life again. In addition, exercises and tools are provided to help regulate feelings and thoughts. The workshop can also be attended independently of the lecture.

Bolzano. The Centro Trevi-Trevilab offers a truly extraordinary opportunity to get closer to the fascinating, and in some ways still mysterious, Etruscan culture. It does so with the exhibition 'Etruscans. Artists and Craftsmen', promoted by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Italian Culture, thanks to the collaboration of the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia, directed by Luana Toniolo, a museum that preserves the most important collection of Etruscan finds in the world. The exhibition, curated by Valentina Belfiore and Maria Paola Guidobaldi of the museum's curatorial team, is part of the second stage of the 'Stories of Art with Great Museums' event, a multi-year journey aimed at discovering the great ancient and modern civilisations, 'another fundamental step towards learning about our past with the aim of keeping interest in culture and the rich artistic heritage preserved in Italy's great museums alive,' emphasised Marco Galateo, Vice President of the Province and Councillor for Italian Culture. The title 'Etruscans. Artists and Craftsmen' already introduces the particular slant of the Bolzano exhibition: it is not a generic exhibition on the Etruscans, but focuses on a specific aspect of their great civilisation, that of artistic and craft production.

Everywhere in Italy and in Europe, for hundreds of years, wetlands have been considered unproductive and unhealthy environments, therefore to be ‘reclaimed’, drained, dried up, and perhaps destined for cultivation. Such an approach, which is particularly severe in places (such as the Alpine valley floors) where the hunger for agricultural land has always been very pronounced, has led to the destruction of most of the aquatic habitats and the organisms that used to inhabit them: among them, many birds that were once common on the shores of lakes and ponds, have become rarefied or locally extinct. In recent times, the crucial role of wetlands in regulating the water cycle and maintaining biodiversity has been fully realised and attitudes, at least in theory, have been reoriented towards conservation. At the same time, within cities, there is often the presence or creation of bodies of water for recreational and aesthetic purposes and this condition has offered new settlement opportunities to the most adaptable and opportunistic of ‘water-bound’ birds.  - The meeting will explore the many facets of the presence of the most common water birds in urban and suburban settings. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the camps. After the devastation of the Shoah, women found within themselves the ability to be reborn. A journey into female resilience and fortitude. It is with great pleasure and excitement that we can invite you again to attend the 14th Congress of the European Society for Research in Mathematics Education (CERME14), hosted by the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. It will take place in Bozen-Bolzano (Italy), from the 4th to 8th of February, 2025. CERME14 will be preceded by a YERME day for young researchers.

In addition, you will be able to attend a piste rescue simulation to learn how to deal with emergency situations effectively. You will be able to watch an avalanche rescue simulation and search dog rescue. Your safety is our priority. The ski school instructors will add a touch of magic to the evening by parading down the slope in an atmospheric torchlight procession. During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. The footage may be used and published on websites, on social networks and on media in compliance with the data protection regulations.
