When autumn begins in the southern Valle Isarco/Eisacktal, it starts also the so-called Törggele-season. Chiusa/Klausen celebrates the beginning of this ancient tradition with a big festival. From 20th September to 22nd September, the artist's city Chiusa dedicates itself entirely to the traditions of the "Törggelen" and transforms itself into some kind of outdoor tavern. Through the streets of the town, gastronomic stands offer various South Tyrolean specialties, such as Knödel, Schlutzkrapfen, sausages with sauerkraut (fermented cabbage), doughnuts, Strauben and roasted chestnuts. A rich selection of white wines from the Valle Isarco completes the culinary offer. The festival has also a colourful entertainment program and a lot of popular music. O'zapft is! Let's go to the 17th Taistner Oktoberfest on Saturday, 21 September and Sunday, 22 September 2024 in Tesido! Oktoberfest atmosphere with traditional music and original Oktoberfest beer. Friday program: at 8:00 pm.: Warm-up party with the DJs Big City Beasts. Saturday program: at 4:00 pm.: Opening, beer keg tapping, free beer for everyone, performance by the "Niederdorfer Böhmischen". At 6:00 pm.: Brass music party with "Taschtn Brass" and the Bohemiacs, traditional costume clubbing with the DJs Big City Beasts. No entry for anyone under 16 in the evening. Sunday program: at 11:00 am.: Morning pint with the Bohemiacs, at 2:30 pm.: Concert by the brass band of Perca, from 5:00 pm.: Performances by the brass bands "Juka Gsies" and the "Taistner Böhmischen". The singers of the TOTALVOCAL EGGENTAL choir warmly invite you to two concert evenings titled "Do You Know How Many Little Stars Are Standing?". In keeping with the theme, mainly songs from the rock and pop scenes, as well as mountain and folk singing, will be performed. The project manager is Armin Thomaser. The instrumentalists Andreas Benedikter on piano and Christian Miglioranza on percussion will skillfully accompany the voices and surprise with solo passages. The evening will be hosted by astrophysicist David Gruber, who will introduce and set the mood for the audience with insightful contributions about the presented literature. The 8th International Daniel Herz Organ Competition will take place from September 21 to 29, 2024. 20 participants from different nations have been admitted to the competition. The public auditions will take place on Tuesday, September 24 and Wednesday, September 25 from 10 a.m. in the cathedral and in the Frauenkirche. The final will take place on Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. in the cathedral and is also open to the public. The prizewinners will play a festive prizewinners' concert at the end of the competition on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 8 pm, which will be broadcast live by Rai Südtirol.

Afterwards the festivities begin with musical entertainment by the "Oachner Böhmische" and "Haniger Buabm". Food and drink are well provided. Enjoy fresh farmer's Krapfen directly there. There will also be entertainment for children and the Oachner Goaßlschnöller.

The Day of the Choirs, in cooperation with the Association of South Tyrolean Choirs, will take place at the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle on the 22nd of September. Children, youth, women's and men's choirs from all over South Tyrol will perform at Trauttmansdorff throughout the course of the entire day, sending the sound of local choral music ringing out over the Asian bamboo, North American forests and exotic Mediterranean landscapes.
