The peacefulness and colours of autumn are the frame to "Saus dl Altonn", the flavours of autumn, an event created to exalt this wonderful period of the year with good food, the genuine produce of the land and activities dedicated to nature and to the Dolomites. From September 15th to October 6th 2024, a few mountain huts of Alta Badia, that can be reached on foot, by bicycle or by cableway, will be matched with a producer and the corresponding locally product of excellence. Each mountain hut will present a menu specially created for the occasion, highlighting the product assigned. Over the three weeks of the event, the producers will be present at the huts to illustrate the special features of their products, which may also be directly purchased. The programme also envisages many other activities aimed at revealing the many excellences of Alta Badia, enjoying an absolutely unforgettable experience in the Dolomites. A collection of the traditional costume "Rittner Tracht" from the 18th century to the present day. On Wednesdays and Fridays from 4–6 p.m. in the historic Commandery Lengmoos. Local producers from Tisens and the surrounding area sell their homemade goods and regional products with love and craftsmanship at the Tisner Bauern- & Handwerksmarkt (Tisner Farmers' & Crafts Market) on the Town Hall Square in the centre of Tisens. Every Wednesday we meet us in the farm of the Schildhof Obergereuth. Together we prepare South Tyrolean bread with spices and wheat from our farm. While the dough is rising and resting, we visit the wheat field and our mill from 1831. The bread and three recipes are taken home. What is the difference between wild and farmed bees, how is a bee colony made up and how is honey actually produced? Beekeeper Walter answers all these questions and gives the participants further interesting information about the industrious helpers of our nature. With the appropriate protective equipment, you can marvel at the inner workings of a beehive and experience at first hand how honey is made, harvested and processed. The train experts Martin Broy & Klaus Demar tell interesting facts about the history of the Rittner Bahn and guide you through the remise of Klobenstein & Oberbozen, afterwards special ride with historical train. "The machinist turns the crank, the wagon spins and purrs, a little jerk, then it starts moving..." This is a quote from 1907 when the people from Bozen took the railway Renon (Rittner Bahn) to their summer retreat on the high plateau. Even today, after 113 years, our railway still runs between Maria Himmelfahrt, Oberbozen and Klobenstein as the only narrow-gauge railway in South Tyrol.

To celebrate the CleanUP days, the well-known percussionist and environmentally conscious artist Max Castlunger will be making drums of all kinds - made from old tires - with young and old music lovers on Friday, September 20.
These can of course be heard afterwards: He will give a CleanUP percussion concert together with everyone who attends. During - and afterwards - we talk about music, drums, volume, garbage, waste and carelessness, and - about our love of nature, which these days make us particularly aware of again.

Around 90 cows that have spent the summer on the Bergalm, the Ontrattalm and the Bärnfiechtalm will arrive dressed up at the Sennerhof (Jaufentalerhof) on Saturday at around 12:30 pm. the evnt starts at 10.00 am. Food and drinks will be provided. There is a large marquee at the Sennerhof farm, music and good entertainment are guaranteed. On Friday, September 20, there will also be a evening toast event from 5 p.m. at the Sennerhof farm. The event takes place whatever the weather!

--ziplé-- The art of woodcarving has a centuries-old tradition in Val Gardena. Originally it was a pastime for the whole family during the long winter evenings. Today, woodcarving extends from sacral to contemporary art. There are only a few experts left who know the traditional method of making butter, and Christian Leitgeb is one of them. He will take you to his farm, the Eggerhöfe, to show you how butter is made. You will learn more about this regional and sustainable productand a fter a demonstration, sample the homemade butter on some freshly baked bread.
