A shuttle service will take you to the Seiser Alm. Together with the mountain guide, you hike towards Panorama and, later, cross the slopes of the Goldknopf at the foot of the Rosszahnscharte ridge. A narrow hiking trail then winds upwards in a steep ascent to the Rosszahnscharte ridge (2,499 m), for the breath-taking beauty of the sunrise. Just a few minutes’ walk from here will take you to the Tierser Alpl mountain refuge, where you can recharge your batteries for the descent with a mountain breakfast. A year full of sunshine, wind and water is being pressed and cellared from the grapes on the southern slopes of Castelbello during these autumn days. This new wine needs to be tasted! So it’s no surprise that the old town alone has around ten bakeries, each offering a unique selection of tempting goods. On the first weekend in October each year, Brixen celebrates its baking traditions. Don’t miss this opportunity to sample the scrumptious selection of savoury and sweet creations on offer on the cathedral square.

The farmers’ festival at Teis, which will take place on 19th October 2025, is one of South Tyrol’s most traditional festivals and a true journey of discovery through the crafts and customs of the Villnöss valley. On the festival, you’ll learn how to do old farm crafts such as baking bread, weaving baskets and hats, felting, carving and pottery. Freshly prepared, rustic specialties are also served, while musical groups play in the charming village lanes. Beginning at 10.00 am.

Traditional folk music, chestnut market, rural dishes and chestnut specialities await visitors in the village centre of Völlan. Visit to the Völlan Farmers' Museum with traditional baking demonstrations and a presentation of local crafts. Guided tours with the foresters at 2.00 pm on the South Tyrolean chestnut adventure trail. Free shuttle service from 9.30-18.00 from Lana to Völlan and from Tisens to Völlan.

Every farmer’s wife has her culinary secrets! At the farmer’s kitchen on the Raiffeisenplatz market square, Scena's farmers’ wives offer authentic traditional and tasty specialities. "Törggelen" is a popular autumn custom for enjoying harvest fruits like chestnuts, apples and grapes. Ham and cheese, young wine and local dishes, all taste so much better when enjoyed in company and good music!
