History, Traditions and Wine Culture During this personal tour, you'll gain fascinating insights into the history and traditions of winemaking in the Burggrafenamt region. As the name suggests, this visit is an experience for all the senses, with many interactive stations to explore at the Rochelehof adventure cellar. Registration required: by Friday at 12 noon at the Marling Tourist Association. The tour takes place in German language. Limited number of participants! Discover the story of the South Tyrolean apple in Merano! This apple tour of Merano's fruit cooperative CAFA will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about our local fruit. After a short introductory film you can explore the entire cooperative in the company of our apple experts and follow the storage, sorting, packaging and shipping of the South Tyrolean apple. Our apple expert will let you in on all kinds of secrets about our apples' goodness, the varieties and how best to store them at home. To round off the tour there is a brief apple tasting session. Registration for participation at the Tourist Association Marling, until monday, 4 p.m. Our guide only speaks german and italian.

Tickets are available online and also on the day of the event at participating huts: - Ütia Bioch - Pralongiá hut - Piz Arlara - I Tablá Alta Badia, the Dolomite region for epicurean holidays, supports, among other things, the responsible use of alcohol under the motto: taste, enjoy, but don't overdo it. Too much alcohol on the slopes slows down reflexes and can cause accidents even on the ski slopes. Please remember, when skiing, the consumption of alcohol is permitted in moderate quantities, fines will be imposed if the alcohol level exceeds 0.5 per mille. During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. The footage may be used and published on websites, on social networks and on media in compliance with the data protection regulations.

n the villages of Vilpian, Siebeneich and Terlan asparagus has been grown for centuries. Today 15 asparagus growers in Terlan plant approx. 10 ha of high quality asparagus and sell it under the trade mark and hallmark of excellence Margarete. The elegant looking and extremely mild tasting Terlan asparagus is very popular with the connoisseurs of this white spring vegetable. In April and May several restaurants invite visitors to enjoy classic and creative asparagus dishes made with the valuable Margarete asparagus. Fresh asparagus with home-cured ham, boiled potatoes and Bozner sauce is one of the classics. The meal is accompanied by the fine, mineral containing Terlano “asparagus wine” (Sauvignon) from the Terlan winery.

An insider tip of the first order is the Blütenhöfefest on Sunday, 13 April 2025, in which 15 traditional farms in Lana, Völlan, St. Pankraz and Tscherms take part. Visitors will get to know historic farms and artistic residences in an enjoyable way and savour typical farm products on site. Visitors who are fit enough to walk follow well-signposted hiking trails and hike from farm to farm, while those who are more leisurely can take the free shuttle buses to the farms from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. An overview map with a detailed programme is available from the tourist office or online at lanaregion.it The event will take place in all weathers. Please note: Not all courtyards are suitable for coaches (50-seater). Due to limited parking facilities, certain farms can only be reached by a small shuttle or on foot. Larger groups are requested to register with the farms. There are limited parking spaces for coaches in Lana, two bus parking spaces are located in Lorenzer Straße and three in Zollstraße in front of the ex-Pomus. In the event that the indicated parking spaces are already sold out, it is advisable to drop off passengers at the bus station and continue to the car park of the Exclusive discotheque in Meranerstraße Lana or to the Lana industrial area where there are additional parking spaces.

On May 4 2025 Naturno invites you again to the South Tyrolean Bacon Day. Enjoy innovative bacon dishes in a great ambience: children's program, showcocking and music, as well as a small specialiätenmarkt around the South Tyrolean bacon. The event starts at 10:00 a.m. at the town hall square in Naturno and takes place in any weather.

A wonderful evening entirely dedicated to Caldaro’s white wines. Fresh, fruity, with nuances going from greenish to bright yellow and hints of apple, banana or pineapple. South Tyrolean white wines are amongst Italy’s best wines. A unique occasion to taste the very best of South Tyrolean’s wine road. Through a “blind tasting” a jury of experts and wine connoisseurs carefully chooses the wines which will be presented during this event. Starting from the village center, the trail winds through quiet streets and passes by the Cantina Merano and numerous local wineries. The farmers’ festival at Teis, which will take place on 19th October 2025, is one of South Tyrol’s most traditional festivals and a true journey of discovery through the crafts and customs of the Villnöss valley. On the festival, you’ll learn how to do old farm crafts such as baking bread, weaving baskets and hats, felting, carving and pottery.
