Wine growing is in our blood - as the 21st generation, we put our heart and soul into running the Schmid Oberrautner winery. In addition to our passion for wine growing, we have also fulfilled our dream of opening our historic winery enabling us to personally present our wines to you. Our guided tours and wine tastings will give you an overview of our classic and premium wines, as well as our passion for the craft and the winemaking techniques that we use to press our wines.

We would like to introduce you in the historical wine-production area Alto Adige and take you behind the scenes of Kellerei Bozen with its must-see architectural highlights. You'll visit one of our vineyards (weather permitting) before being taken through the winery to see the wine-making process. The tour includes the tasting of 7 wines, some samples of our very best award-winning wines of the available vintage. Wines availability might change during the year. Our tours last for approximately 2 – 2,5 hours.

The small but exquisite Christmas market takes place in four different locations: in Oberbozen at the Ritten railway station and in the village centre of Klobenstein, as well as in the railway station building in Klobenstein and in the historic Plattner Bienenhof in Wolfsgruben. Come and delve into a real-life wine experience at the bio farm Rielinger. The wine farmer will give you a tour of the vineyard, explaining the different grapes and their cultivation. We cultivate the white wine varieties Blatterle, Müller Thurgau, Kerner and Riesling as well as the red wines Schiava and Zweigelt. After the vineyard tour you’ll hit the cellar where we show you how the wine is fermented and aged. At the end of the tour of course you may taste our in-house wines. The association "Leiferer Krippenfreunde" (Friends of Nativity Scenes) is once again organising the exhibition of handcrafted nativity scenes in the exhibition hall in via Pietralba 29. The exhibition is open from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm. The opening and blessing of the exhibits will take place on Sunday, 8.12. at 10 am after the festive service.

In “Das Traumfresserchen,” renowned children's author Michael Ende tells a poetic story about the fear of falling asleep, the power of dreams and the secret of a spell. Tanja Regele, who has already successfully staged the class play “Titus” at the Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen/Teatro Stabile di Bolzano, brings the fairy tale journey for young and old to the theater. In Schlummerland lives Princess Schlafittchen, who never wants to go to bed at night and is always inventing new excuses. Sleep is the most important thing in Schlummerland. But Princess Schlafittchen has bad dreams, and no one, not even the smartest doctors and teachers, can help her. One day, the queen packs her backpack and starts to travel around the world. She asks many people in many countries if they know a cure for bad dreams, but unfortunately without success. Then she meets a strange creature, the Dream Eater, who loves nothing more than bad dreams. Can he help Schlafittchen as well? In any case, they want to try... In German language.

The Christmas market in Laives/Leifers is a meeting place for locals and visitors on the weekends during Advent. On Saturdays and Sundays, the local associations enliven the stalls at the fairground Piazzale Pfarrheim.
