Two days dedicated to history, the association that promotes the contemporary history archive of Lake Braies has always animated the exchange between historians, cultural operators and the interested public. Start from the Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten in the direction of Sexten, then slightly uphill to Mitterberg and on to Nemes Alm. After about 20 minutes we reach a plateau called "Saumad" (1.750 ) where we turn left to the Klammbach-Alm (1.940). Also here we are challenged again to enjoy after approx. 30 minutes at the Almhütte the dreamlike view of the Three Peaks. Arrived at the Klammbach hut, we take a break and enjoy the "Schmankerln" by Hannes, then when Leon briefly unpacks his accordion then the mood is perfect. Passing the "Hennstoll" and via the Sesto circular trail we return to Sesto to the Bike Academy Sesto Dolomites.

In Monguelfo we leave the main valley and turn into the extended Casies valley. In an exciting mixture of forest roads and simple paths we follow the Casies stream. After about ten kilometres the most challenging part of our tour begins: on a wide gravel road we overcome about 350 metres in altitude difference - then we climb a short section of the famous "Dolomiti Superbike". Before the fast descent into the main valley we enjoy the view of Toblach and the Landro Valley from Monte Rota. In the first curves of the ascent we realise that this tour is to be considered difficult and demanding. Up to the beautiful Klammbachalm there is not a moment's relaxation. For every metre we overcome we have to fight hard. The breathtaking view we can see from the terrace of the original hut repays us for all the suffering we have endured. Next, we head towards Alpe Nemes and in the direction of Passo Monte Croce. There, a path full of roots awaits us, requiring all our skills. From Sesto we return on varied and exciting trails to Toblach. Rustic. Down-to-earth. Genuine. Hebs, the landlord and shepherd from the Pragser Tal Valley lives for his Rossalm. He could not imagine a nicer job, because the alp is his life. Hebs likes to pass on his passion to his visitors and he offers you the opportunity to explore hidden places and to slip into his role as a landlord. Together you hike from the Plätzwiese high plateau along old shepherds' paths to the Rossalm where you prepare a hearty alpine meal and experience the mountain life at 2,164 m above sea level.

The feast of the town in Ferrara of Braies Valley is organized on the pre-last weekend of October. On Saturday is positioned the "Kirtamichlbam" (the traditional tree) by the no-married young boys. In the evening is organized the "Kirtaball" (dance party) with a DJ and traditional music. On Sunday the day begins with a good Bayern breakfast with "Weißwurst" and beer. Typical dishes are served for lunch. In the afternoon the "Kirtamichl" is taken off and around it you can listen live music: in the end you can win the traditional "Kirtamichlbam".

Our adventure todays takes us to: the Malga San Silvestro On this tour we have to commit ourselves right from the start. Right in Toblach, the approximately eight kilometre-long climb to the San Silvestro alpine pasture begins. We encounter two fairly demanding uphill sections, after all we climb gently along the agitated San Silvestro stream. After a short stop at the original alpine hut, we can enjoy the silence of the alpine pasture interrupted only by the melodic sound of the cowbells. We return to Toblach in a variety of ups and downs along forest tracks and asphalted roads. At the same time we can enjoy the wonderful panorama of the Sexten Dolomites and the Puster Valley.
