Dolomiti Gourmet Festival 2024: Gourmetsafari through Innichen / San Candido

The participatory project ‘Shaping living space together’ is celebrated. The highlight of the party programme is the annual fashion show with second-hand clothing. The Alta Pusteria Youth Service has once again recruited many great models. Under the expert guidance of Margareth Baur, Judith Gruber and Rosina Volgger, they choose their outfits in the Dobbiaco Second Hand Magazine. Isabel Strobl, Evelyn Ebenkofler, Ruth and Elisabeth Schönegger take care of the professional make-up and hairstyling. Priska Pipperger puts the icing on the cake with her jewellery creations, some of which are made from recycled materials. The second highlight awaiting the audience afterwards is a concert with the Frankfurt women's band ‘Kick La Luna’. Their songs combine an incredible spectrum of musical influences, whether soul or salsa, funk, Brazil or ballads, they stand for tolerance and openness, encourage, touch, inspire and shake things up - packed with a ‘kick’ of positive energy that is cantagious and invites you to join in. There will also be a swap party (clothes swap) and an upcycling station by Rosina Kristler as part of the supporting programme. The Wahlen youth group, the One World shop ‘Inso Ladile’, the time bank Hochpustertal (Tirtlan, Niggilan, Mohnkrapfen, Rettungsringe) and the community kitchen will be providing drinks and a buffet.

Dolomiti Gourmetfestival 2024: A culinary highlight in the Dolomites From 4 to 6 October 2024, the holiday region 3 Zinnen Dolomites will host a culinary event of outstanding quality for the eleventh time in a row. Under the patronage of star chef Chris Oberhammer, national and international top and star chefs come together to take visitors on a unique culinary journey. Dobbiaco, San Candido and Monte Baranci form the centre of this gastronomic highlight. Program Dobbiaco: Saturday, 5th october 2024 at 7 pm | Gourmet evening with food stations at the Bistro of the Alpine Dairy Dobbiaco This evening is dedicated to national and local gourmet cuisine: South Tyrolean star chefs and top local chefs create exclusive dishes for visitors at various food stations in the newly opened Bistro of the Drei Zinnen Alpine Dairy. For every metre we overcome we have to fight hard. The breathtaking view we can see from the terrace of the original hut repays us for all the suffering we have endured. Next, we head towards Alpe Nemes and in the direction of Passo Monte Croce. There, a path full of roots awaits us, requiring all our skills. From Sesto we return on varied and exciting trails to Toblach. Monthly market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., every 1st Saturday of the month from march to december.

Closing event with farmers' market, food and wine stations from 11:00am at Monte Baranci. The day event at the mountain station presents dishes created by the guest chefs on specific themes, each with a product from a local producer or farmer, which can be tasted by visitors of their choice. Local winegrowers are represented at various stations with their wines.

Every first and third Monday of the month is market day at Dobbiaco;

On three Fridays in October, the traditional Törggelen with local specialities and musical accompaniment takes place in the rifugio Pollaio.

On the tarmac cycle path we ride to San Candido and there we turn towards Sesto. From the large car park we ascend to the Rifugio Tre Scarperi. We hardly notice that we have overcome a height difference of 300 metres: the wonderful nature and the mountains make us forget all the suffering. Now a steep climb on a wide dirt road awaits us. After this effort we enjoy the view and nature around the rustic hut Brunstalm. The return is by the same way as the outward road. Two days dedicated to history, the association that promotes the contemporary history archive of Lake Braies has always animated the exchange between historians, cultural operators and the interested public. The ninth edition will be dedicated to the biographies of SS prisoners. This is where the Hotel Lago di Braies comes into play, as it was here that they were housed for ten days and it was the hotelier Emma Heiss Hellensteiner who took care of their needs. The feast of the town in Ferrara of Braies Valley is organized on the pre-last weekend of October. On Saturday is positioned the "Kirtamichlbam" (the traditional tree) by the no-married young boys. In the evening is organized the "Kirtaball" (dance party) with a DJ and traditional music. On Sunday the day begins with a good Bayern breakfast with "Weißwurst" and beer. Typical dishes are served for lunch. In the afternoon the "Kirtamichl" is taken off and around it you can listen live music: in the end you can win the traditional "Kirtamichlbam".

The world's cross-country skiing elite will once again be guests in Dobbiaco - together we will celebrate the turn of the year. From 29 December to 1 January 2025, the best cross-country skiers in the world will be competing for prestigious World Cup points in the Nordic Arena in Dobbiaco. The Coop Fis Tour de Ski 2024/2025 will open like fireworks on 29 December 2024 with a sprint in the free technique. The classic individual race will take place on 31 December and the crowning glory will be the pursuit race , with a new unique course overlooking the Three Peaks on 1 January 2025. Stay tuned.

The youngest participants open the event at 4.00 pm in the Nordic Arena in Dobbiaco.
