January 2025 At the FIS Telemark World Cup on the slope „Masaré“, directly below the Rosengarten in the ski area Carezza Dolomites, athletes from around the world engage in an exciting sprint race competition over two days. The various obstacles they must overcome, such as giant slalom, jump, the 360 and skating, are very interesting for numerous spectators to watch.

The Carezza Snow Night on the Pra di Tori slope enchants visitors with an impressive show: King Laurin and the seven dwarfs come to life, a torch descent lights up the slope with a magical glow, and breathtaking freestyle and telemark performances captivate the audience. The Carezza Ski School amazes with stunts, while powerful snow groomers command the piste. The grand finale is a stunning firework display that colors the winter landscape in vibrant hues. Sellaronda - accompanied ski tour around the Sella Mountain Massif (no skiing-teacher but a guide/companion) The Sellaronda is a circular ski tour for sporty skiers around the Sella Mountain Massif. There are different ways to circumnavigate the Sella: It leads over the picturesque Sellajoch/Passo Sella, the Pordoijoch/Passo Pordoi, den Campolongopass/Passo Campolongo and the Grödner Joch/Passo Gardena. In total, the tour has a lenght of 40 kilometers - about 24 kilometers are overcome by chairlift. The ski tour is duable also for people with intermediate skiing knowledge. The participants will be picked up in their accomodations. Start: every wednesday at 7.00 a.m. | Return: 6.00 p.m. | Costs: 40€/person | Prerequisite: The skiers are in possession of a ski pass (multi-day, season ticket) or buy a day ticket on the same morning. Our leisurely circular hike starts at Gibitzplatz in Deutschnofen. From there, we follow the old Kirchsteig trail to the idyllically situated Wölflhof farm, where we plan to stop for lunch. Along the way, hiking guide Irene will point out the special features of winter nature. What strategies do plants and animals use to survive the cold season? Perhaps we will even discover traces of wild animals? Experiencing the winter silence of nature is a special treat for body and soul. Again and again we enjoy impressive views of the surrounding peaks - the Corno Bianco, the Latemar and the Catinaccio, which are part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a lunch break, we return along the E5 European long-distance hiking trail back to Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen. In the evening, the snow-covered landscape of wintertime Deutschnofen has a magic all its own. The moon and stars make the snowy slopes sparkle – if the sky is cloudy, we simply bring along some torches to light our way during our romantic nighttime stroll. Meeting place: Always at 6:00 p.m. at the Deutschnofen Tourist Agency. The 4-km-long tour involves 200 meters of altitude differential and takes about two hours. Anna-Maria from the Kronlechnerhof farm is a farmer with passion. On her farm in Welschnofen | Nova Levante there are various animals and in summer she has a colourful garden with all types of vegetables and fruits. After a short tour of the farm we cook together various types of dumplings with the farm products. Finally, we taste together the dumplings. All participants will receive the recipes of the South Tyrolean specialities to take home. After a brief introduction the tour leads to the Neuhütt Alm by crossing meadows and forests. The Neuhütt Alm Hut is also the ideal spot for a lunch break. This winter, the legendary Oberholz at 2.096 m will finally also be accessible in the evening. On selected Fridays, you can enjoy an unforgettable view with a long aperitif. Sustainable skiing - how does it work? Info tour of the climate ski area Carezza Dolomites with snow pioneer Georg Eisath. 40 years ago he built South Tyrol's first snow cannons. Today Georg Eisath gives us an insight into the interior of the climate ski area Carezza Dolomites on a guided ski tour. From the Hotel Moseralm, we ski to the pumping station of the reservoirs to learn more about energy-efficient snowmaking and innovative piste preparation. During the skiing on the slopes, he will explain further measures and projects on the various sustainability topics in company, which has been a partner of Turn to zero since 2019. On Saturday 25 January 2025, the Carezza Trophy will take place for the 12th time below the Rosengarten - an experience that will make the hearts of ski mountaineers beat faster! The toboggan world cup in Deutschnofen takes place on the „Pfösl Riep“ natural toboggan run, which is one of the most well-known tracks in South Tyrol. The course is challenging and offers athletes a combination of tight curves and technical sections. It winds through the beautiful South Tyrolean landscape and is highly popular among athletes and spectators for its difficulty and scenic beauty.

Oberholz and tortellini from Valeggio sul Mincio in an unprecedented combination. The ValeggiObereggen Day will take place on Saturday 22 February 2025 in the Oberholz mountain hut in Obereggen, an architectural jewel at an altitude of 2096 metres. The unique partnership between the Latemar, represented by the Oberholz mountain hut, and the Mincio river in the province of Verona, represented by the historic Alla Borsa restaurant in Valeggio sul Mincio. Watch the talented chefs of Alla Borsa prepare tortellini in the Oberholz mountain hut and learn the techniques of the excellent hostess of Ristorante Alla Borsa Nadia Pasquali. The handmade tortellini, which are freshly prepared every day by skilful hands for the internationally renowned restaurant, will be served. On 22 February, two types of tortellini will be on the menu at the Oberholz mountain hut. The big carnival procession moves through the village of Welschnofen | Nova Levante again! For the 58th time on Tuesday, 04.03.2025 the carinical procession "Fasching in Schuffa" takes place! The procession starts punctually and according to old tradition at 3.03 p.m. in Rosengartenstraße | Via Catinaccio and leads along Karerseestraße | Via Carezza and Romstraße | Via Roma to the house of the village community. There the Welschnofen | Nova Levante music band will provide delicious food, colourful drinks and the best music for a foolish carnival celebration.
