Chestnut enjoyment in Lana. Chestnut farmer Hans Laimer roasts local chestnuts on an open fire in front of the tourist office in Lana and serves them in hot paper bags, so you can warm your hands. Mon-Sat 2.30-7.00 pm.

LANAPHIL, the widely known stamp collectors fair has become an international event with participants from all over Europe. Along with a large selection of historical postcards, military items, banknotes, stamps and genuine historical stocks, LanaPhil also offers old shares and bonds as well as books, etchings and modern European stamps from the last 20 years. A special highlight is the personalised stamp depicting the famous gothic winged altar by Hans Schnatterpeck in the parish church of Niederlana. The collectors fair takes place in the great hall as well as the foyer of the Raiffeisenhaus Lana and is open to the public from 9 am to 2 pm.

The music band of St. Martin invites you to the traditional Törggele Festival. Festival Program: 10:00 a.m. Holy Mass on the village square approx. 11:00 a.m. march of the music band "Nußdorf am Inn" from the village square to the festival square followed by a concert from 1:00 p.m. entertainment with the Bohemian music "Hochwilde Böhmische" and performances by the folkloristic group "Pseirer Herzplattler"

Traditional dishes, roasted chestnuts and new wine, as well as musical entertainment with the Olmenrausch (10.30-13.00) and Männer der Berge (13.30-16.30) on the town hall square in Naturno. Autumn Festival of the Algund Brass Band On Sunday, October 6, the Algund Brass Band invites you to their second Autumn Festival. Starting at 11:00 AM, enjoy a festive atmosphere with delicious food and great music. Four different music groups will provide entertainment this year: the Algund Youth Band, the philharmonic brass band from Zollernalb, a surprise new ensemble from the Algund Brass Band members, and the renowned "Fetzmusig," a brass ensemble from the Burggrafenamt that has been performing for over 20 years and includes several members of the Algund Brass Band. Culinary delights will be provided by the well-known kitchen of Gasthaus Kienegg in Vellau! The festival will continue until the early evening, and the Algund Brass Band looks forward to welcoming many visitors!

A hiking adventure to discover South Tyrol's mountains and get to know this unique, enchanting, panoramic world better. Registration required in the tourist information office by 5 pm on the previous day. Limited number of participants.

From Riffian/Rifiano we hike initially to Kuens/Caines. There we take the bus to the Ungerichthof. From here we hike along the Kuenser Waalweg trail and along trail no. 6 to Tirol/Tirolo as far as the Farmerkreuz with a magnificent view of Meran/Merano and the surrounding area. Together we will stop at one of the typical inns and have lunch together. We continue along the Herrenschaftsweg to St. Peter, past Castle Tyrol to Tirol/Tirolo. From there we take the bus back to Riffian/Rifiano. The hike will be in German and Italian. Hiking time: ca. 3,5 h | Altitude difference: ascent ca. 250 m, descent ca. 350 m

Take this opportunity, grab your rucksack, put on your hiking boots and set off on a hike to the hut "Wildschützhütte" above Stuls/Stulles. ONLY IN GERMAN! From the beginning of October, at the end of the grape harvest, until the beginning of the pre-Christmas season is "Törggelezeit". After leisurely walks through the golden autumn landscape, guests and South Tyroleans enjoy the products of the harvest, especially chestnuts and new wine (Sußer). On this week's hike we visit the Bachlerhof. We take the bus from the village centre of Schenna up to the Pichler restaurant and then hike through the Vallplatz forest to the Bachlerhof farm and after a stop for refreshments we continue to Verdins. From the starting point you are free to decide whether to return on foot or by bus. A Törggelemenü and hearty music are of course not to be missed! At the Gampen Pass, we visit the Gampen bunker, a military bunker built during the Second World War. We then hike on a gravel road, then along a footpath and uphill in serpentines until we cross a wide valley at the foot of the small Laugenspitze. Continuing on and climbing gently, we reach the small, idyllic Gfrillneralm where we stop for a bite to eat. Marvellous views as far as the Dolomites await us there. Afterwards we hike along a pleasant track down to the Gampenstraße from where we take the bus back to Lana. Travel by public transport. Hike to the organic farm Niedersteinhof above St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo. There, organic farmer and farm owner Walter opens the gates of his kingdom to us. With passionate explanations of the farm philosophy and the associated concept, he takes us into the world of his agricultural work. Approach to the Obersteinhof farm above Pfelders/Plan. Ascent on trail no. 2 over a steep terrain step to the extensive alpine meadows of the Imestalm, continuing through typical high alpine terrain and finally over a flat mountain ridge to the panoramic summit.
