An insider tip of the first order is the Blütenhöfefest on Sunday, 13 April 2025, in which 15 traditional farms in Lana, Völlan, St. Pankraz and Tscherms take part. Visitors will get to know historic farms and artistic residences in an enjoyable way and savour typical farm products on site. Visitors who are fit enough to walk follow well-signposted hiking trails and hike from farm to farm, while those who are more leisurely can take the free shuttle buses to the farms from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. Please note: Not all courtyards are suitable for coaches (50-seater). Due to limited parking facilities, certain farms can only be reached by a small shuttle or on foot. Larger groups are requested to register with the farms. There are limited parking spaces for coaches in Lana, two bus parking spaces are located in Lorenzer Straße and three in Zollstraße in front of the ex-Pomus. In the event that the indicated parking spaces are already sold out, it is advisable to drop off passengers at the bus station and continue to the car park of the Exclusive discotheque in Meranerstraße Lana or to the Lana industrial area where there are additional parking spaces.

The Merano Flower Festival is a must for botany and garden lovers and a colourful experience for all those who love beauty. The Kurpromenade, with the Kurhaus as a backdrop and elegant architectural setting, creates the perfect ambience for this exclusive flower and ornamental plant exhibition. The offer ranges from plants, flowers, seeds, gardening tools to garden objects. The exhibitors have been selected by the journalist, book author and Grand Dame of the flora, Mimma Pallavicini, who has set the pace of horticulture and nature awareness in Italy for over 30 years.

It is impossible to imagine Lana without the "Bäuerliche Genussmeile - Local Farm Deligths", the annual get-together during "LANA IN BLOOM" in spring. A true feast for the senses is the market day of the local farmers, who will once again offer their farm specialities on Saturday, 26 April 2025. Over 50 farmers, including local gastronomists, will occupy the Gries, in the car-free centre of Lana, and will be available to visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to taste, buy and enjoy. The top priority is best quality and unconditional freshness. The "Roter Hahn" (Red Rooster), the quality brand of the South Tyrolean Farmers' Union, ensures this. The restaurants in the pedestrian zone of Lana serve exquisite spring dishes and wild herb specialities according to old and new recipes and serve fine wines. An exclusive spring treat awaits pleasure-lovers on 27 April, when Goyen Castle, unusually, opens the gates to its medieval courtyard. Accompanied by lively music, nibbles and sparkling beverages, on this special morning mouths will water and no heart will be left untouched.

Visitors can enjoy a colourful and busy market under the canopy on Raiffeisenplatz market square in Schenna. Producer from South Tyrol present the tasty specialities and healthy delicacies grown and made in their gardens, fields and cellars. Artisans from the South Tyrol region also display their original crafts at this market.

From 1st May to 5th May, the event Algund Gardenflair will once again take place on church square in Algund. At the Algund Gardenflair a variety of Mediterranean plants and trees such as palm trees, cacti, olive trees, various fruit and berry trees and herbs, as well as various works of art and all kinds of decoration for the garden will be offered. Exhibitors with different herbal products, such as teas, salts and spice blends, as well as specialties from the garden complete the program.

As part of the "Schenna in blossom" series of events, the "Aperitivo lungo at Schenna Castle" will take place for the first time on 18 May. Visitors can enjoy castle charm and DJ beats with sparkling wine and delicious appetisers from the region from 5 to 9 pm. The entry is free.

From 26 to 28 May 2025, the new schenna e.motion event will be all about electric mobility and enjoyment. In addition to excursions with electric vehicles to the most beautiful places in South Tyrol, there will be a special supporting programme with an e-test and safety day in Bolzano, a tour of an e-plant, high-class enjoyment evenings and much more.

At the Algund Farmers' Market from October 23rd to 26th, fresh, regional, and homemade products from all over South Tyrol will be showcased and offered for sale. Join us and be inspired by the variety of agricultural products. Fresh chestnuts will be roasted daily. Two farmers will provide visitors with homemade dishes and serve freshly harvested wines and drinks from their own production. A special program with live music will round off the event.

On Friday, 27 October at 8.30 p.m., the Algund Music Band once again invites all brass music lovers to listen to an hour of contemplative brass music in the parish church of St. Joseph in Algund. At this year's church concert, director Christian Laimer will enjoy that beautiful music. For the musicians of the Algund Music Band, a concert in "their" parish church is always a special experience and a great musical challenge. The musicians are happy to meet you!
