ONLY IN GERMAN! From the beginning of October, at the end of the grape harvest, until the beginning of the pre-Christmas season is "Törggelezeit". After leisurely walks through the golden autumn landscape, guests and South Tyroleans enjoy the products of the harvest, especially chestnuts and new wine (Sußer). On this week's hike we visit the Florerhof farm. We take the bus from the village centre of Schenna to Verdins and hike via the Wieser Steig up to the Schenner Waalweg until we reach the Florerhof farm and after a cosy stop for refreshments we walk back down to St. Georgen. From the starting point you are free to decide whether to return on foot or by bus. Of course, a Törggelemenü and hearty music are not to be missed! Every farmer’s wife has her culinary secrets! At the farmer’s kitchen on the Raiffeisenplatz market square, Scena's farmers’ wives offer authentic traditional and tasty specialities. "Törggelen" is a popular autumn custom for enjoying harvest fruits like chestnuts, apples and grapes. Ham and cheese, young wine and local dishes, all taste so much better when enjoyed in company and good music!

On the beautiful larch meadows of the Salto we hike towards San Genesio and then descend to the Tschaufenhaus and Verschneid, where the bus is waiting for us. Franz Wanner's first Italian solo exhibition, curated by Kristina Kreutzwald and Martina Oberprantacher, traces his complex artistic research. Using photography, video, words and objects, the artist investigates the past, focusing on the war industry and the use of forced labour in the context of National Socialism, and its effects on society in the present, bringing to light omissions that have been perpetuated over time. For this exhibition, Franz Wanner has also carried out some specific research on the South Tyrolean context and the use of forced labour during the period of the ‘Zone of Operations in the Pre-Alps’, i.e. when the Province of Bolzano was annexed to Nazi Germany.

Kunst Meran Merano Arte hosts AlpiTypes, dedicated to the contemporary reinterpretation and connection between lettering, typographic design and lettering painting. The exhibition focuses on applied graphics developed in the first half of the 20th century in the area currently corresponding to South Tyrol, Tyrol and Trentino. Curated by Antonino Benincasa, Massimo Martignoni and Anna Zinelli, AlpiTypes is based on the in-depth research conducted by Benincasa and Martignoni on local graphics. A group of students from the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano, Faculty of Design and Art, accompanied by Antonino Benincasa, reinterpreted historical typefaces from incomplete alphabets, which at the time were often made by hand, integrating the missing characters, revealing how the original typographic concept was inspired by European stylistic currents such as Bauhaus, Rationalism, the Wiener Secession, Constructivism and the Arts and Crafts movement. The project is enhanced by the involvement of international graphic designers, who use the fonts to create contemporary typographic posters. The work highlights a quality and topicality of graphic design in the area that is still almost unknown.

The “Gruppo Alpini” is organizing a "Törggelen" festivity on Sunday, 26 October, from 15:00 at the clubhouse Marling. Food and drink as well as musical entertainment will be provided! The “Gruppo Alpini” is looking forward to seeing you there!

Live music and culinary delights along the Schlossweg in the village center. If the weather is bad the festival doesn't take place.

From there, we descend through the orange-colored larches to the Vernagt reservoir, where the bus is waiting for us. Walking time: approx. 3 hours Difference in altitude: 300 m Difficulty: medium

All Saints market in Lana in the J.-Kravogel and F.-Höfler Str., from 7.30 - 13.00. The following roads will be closed during the market: Lorenzerweg, Franz-Höfler-Strasse, Johann-Kravogl-Strasse. Parking is prohibited on all streets and squares from 06:00 to 16:00.

We continue along the Farm Trail to St. Kathrein and from there back to the starting point. 8 and 9 November 2025 the Touriseum at Trauttmansdorff Castle will play host to Meran’s fifth Vintage Market. Trauttmansdorff Castle will for the whole weekend be devoted to the idea of “vintage”. From 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day, selected market stalls will be offering collectors and browsers high-quality antique accessories ranging from sunglasses to hatboxes. The retro atmosphere will be complemented with live music and dancing from bygone eras as well as many other highlights.

At the crafts market "Kreativmarktl Algund" you will find candles, jewellery, clocks, bags and wallets, greeting cards, ceramic and porcelain items, gnomes, textiles, crocheted items, decorative items made of wood, paper, felt and concrete, special items for wine lovers, flower arrangements made of natural materials and many more original, unique crafts. Free admission.

The Parcines music band will enter the church in a festive entry in honour of St. Cecilia. A short concert will be held after the Holy Mass. Start of the festive entery: 08:30am Start of the stand concert: approx. 09:30 am on the church square in Parcines/Partschins

This year, the Sterntaler Christmas Market in Lana becomes even more inviting. The enchanting backdrop of the historic Capuchin Garden contributes to the cozy atmosphere, hosting nearly 20 Christmas stalls during the Advent weekends – from November 28 to December 25, 2025. Small fir trees adorned with shiny red ornaments and the warm glow of luminous spheres surround the lovingly decorated stalls offering genuine South Tyrolean handicrafts. An engaging program for the whole family – including ponies and sheep, a glitter workshop, and a hands-on circus, all set to the sounds of festive live music – completes the experience and promises unforgettable moments of enjoyment. On December 31, 2025, only the culinary stalls will be open.

The Merano Christmas Market provides a magical atmosphere, with daily concerts, children’s entertainment, local customs and handicrafts. There are other Christmas markets in Merano and Environs too, offering textiles, jewelry, ceramics, glass and wooden objects. Closed on 25th December.

Naturno has made a name for itself as a market town in recent years; The "Katharinamarkt" is one of the three annual markets where up to 55 stallholders offer their goods.

On Sunday, November 30th, the Peter Mitterhofer Typewriter Museum will host an Open House from 10 AM to 6 PM in celebration of the Partschins Advent Market.

The rural Christmas Market in Partschins is a very unique and picturesque one, taking place in the authentic ambience of the historic church square. In rustic stands you can find precious regional products as well as gastronomic specialties.

St Nicholas procession with little Krampuses in Lana. The idea of taking away the fear of Krampus from the youngest children in our village at an early age bore great fruit last year. St. Nicholas will parade through the Gries with his little entourage on 6 December and distribute his gifts to the children at the Thalerhof, from the Capuchin church in Lana at 5.00 pm.

You will hear historical and current facts about Marling and one or two Christmas stories on the evening lantern walk through the village center of Marling. You will be accompanied by our local guide Johanna. After the evening walk, you’ll be welcomed at the pavilion in Marling with sweet pastries, a glass of Marling wine, or a refreshing South Tyrolean apple juice, the perfect way to conclude a unforgettable evening. Registration required: Until Friday, 12 noon online or at the Tourist Association Marling. The event takes place in German.
