Band leader Christian Laimer offers a varied and demanding program together with his musicians. Algund´s concerts have always been popular among our guests and residents who want to hear their town´s band more often throughout the year. The residents of Algund are happy to meet you! On 21 September, the festively decorated cows return to the valley from their summer retreat on the Lazins Alm. Headdresses made from magnificent flower arrangements adorn the returning summer guests, who are admired by numerous spectators. Various Passeier specialities are available to eat. 11 a.m. start of the traditional cattle drive, starting at the Lazinser Alm. At around 12 a.m. the cattle are ceremoniously driven through the village of Pfelders/Plan to the festival site, where the shepherds' festival takes place. The trail leads you from the Jenesiener Jöchl Alm to the Möltner Kaser up to the Stoanernen Mandlen. If you hike here, you will think time has stood still - that is how untouched nature is on this striking alpine peak at 2,000 metres above sea level. At this magical power spot, you will experience the mighty natural spectacle of sunrise, the mountain panorama and the tranquillity of the early morning in the midst of nature. The series of performances is part of the public programme of the exhibition La Linea Insubrica (The Insubric Line) at Kunst Merano Arte, which brings together 11 artists to speculate on the image of this geo-structure, which emerged as a result of the collision of the European and African tectonic plates, which also runs through the city of Merano. The exhibition title refers to a method of studying rocks that critically opposes the idea that they always remain unchanged. The performances by The School of Mutants, Betty Tchomanga and Alessandra Ferrini are proposed, in a metaphorical sense, as practices that analyze "the history and present of rocks" with the idea that it can be fluidized and “de-essentialized." During our decor workshops in September, our gardener Judith will be showing you just how easy it is to make hanging baskets, kokedama, mini terrariums, autumn bouquets, bowls of succulents and floral wreaths, using plants from the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle. This workshop is ideal for everybody who wants to create a beautiful gift or decoration for their home.

South Tyrolean farmers sell their fresh saisonal vegetables and fruits as well as their regional products.

The weekly market on the town hall square in Naturno, from 8:00 to approx. 13:00. From leather goods, shoes and clothing to plants and typical farm products (bacon, cheese), there is something for everyone. The weekly market is a meeting place for all those who like to browse and enjoy.

The ideal spot for a sustanaible shopping experience that is local by nature or a voyage of discovery in search of South Tyrolean flavors and traditional expertise. The market stalls were designed by Martino Gamper, a designer born and raised in Merano, who has since made a name for himself internationally.

Pawigl Bread Time. Experience the old tradition of baking bread on the farm. Where could this happen more authentically than in the Lananer mountain fraction Pawigl, on the southern slope of the Vigiljoch, where the mountain farmers still bake bread on their farms today, from 11.00 am. Already the event will take place 22 September 2024, focusing on "Pawigl Bread Time".

The return of the herds from summer pastures in the Tel high mountain valley is appropriately celebrated at the Nasereit Alpine shelter, in accordance with the old farming tradition.

The Day of the Choirs, in cooperation with the Association of South Tyrolean Choirs, will take place at the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle on the 22nd of September. Children, youth, women's and men's choirs from all over South Tyrol will perform at Trauttmansdorff throughout the course of the entire day, sending the sound of local choral music ringing out over the Asian bamboo, North American forests and exotic Mediterranean landscapes.

Live music, dancing and gastronomic specialities on the festival ground. If the weather is bad the morning pint doesn't take place.

The stall holders sell seasonal produce and specialities, as well as clothes.

Discover the train station! The entertainment train station at Naturno/Stava is the old train station of the Val Senales. It shows an electric train on an 800 m track, an original steam engine locomotive Waldenburg Switzerland, a tank engine locomotive, and two wagons of the Rhaetic train. The station is open every Sunday afternoon from Mai until October

From St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo through the Passer gorge to Moos. Return to St. Leonhard by public bus. Walking time: 2 hours | Difference in altitude: 320 m In cooperation with the Nature Office of the Province of Bozen and the Provincial Professional Chamber for South Tyrolean Mountain and Ski Guides, "nature walks" are offered from May to September. Together with a trained nature park guide, participants experience the local nature up close and receive information about the flora and fauna of the surroundings. The event will be in German and Italian.

The Jaufenburg Castle is always open on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. During this time, free mini guided tours are offered in German.

Note: currently, the tour is only offered in German and Italian Majestically perched on a rock, the pilgrimage church of Unser Frau in Schnals/ Madonna di Senales is the starting point for a roughly 2.5-hour hike along Via Monachorum via the ancient larch trees of Schnals, waterfalls, and mountain springs to the former Carthusian monastery of Allerengelberg in Karthaus/Certosa.
