The traditional Brenner market takes place every 5th and 20th of the month throughout the year. If this day falls on a Sunday or public holiday, then the market takes place on Saturday before. Sledding in the moonlight with friends is one of the winter adventures you shouldn't miss! This is possible at the Allrissalm in Pflerschtal. The Allrissalm is open every TUESDAY, THURSDAY and FRIDAY until 10.00 pm (warm cuisine until 8.00 pm). Reachable on foot in approx. 1 hour from St. Anton. This year the 46th National Championships in sledging and skijoring will take place on 09.02.2025 in Ratschings (Larchhof). All hunters are warmly invited to participate in the 24rd Hunters' Biathlon at the Ridnaun Biathlon Center on Saturday, 22.02.2025. Additionally, there will also be a snowshoe race. Some shots and prizes will be shared among all participants, hunting clothing is mandatory! Every Friday, from the beginning of April to mid-October, farmers from the Sterzing area offer their local quality products at the farmers' market. At the market in the town square of Sterzing, people meet for the weekly purchase of local South Tyrolean products or for a "glass of wine". The varied offer ranges from traditional bacon and “Kaminwurzen” , fresh and smoked trout, cheese and yogurt specialties, homemade bread, organic wines, herbs, honey, eggs to homemade juices and fresh vegetables. Locals and guests have appreciated the market for over a decade now. Tip: Do not miss the delicious “Krapfen and Tirtler” of the Wipptaler farmers' wives!

The Tour of the Alps 2025 once again promises thrilling cycling action amid the breathtaking Alpine landscapes. This prestigious stage race brings the world’s best cyclists to the region, combining outstanding athletic performance with stunning scenery. With demanding stages and challenging climbs, this year’s race is set to be a highlight of the international cycling calendar. The second stage, Mezzolombardo – Sterzing-Ratschings-Gossensass, is the centerpiece of the race and will take place on April 22, 2025. With 178 kilometers and an impressive elevation gain of 3,750 meters, it is the longest and most demanding stage of the Tour. Following a flat start in Trentino, the route takes on a challenging climb at Monte San Pietro, followed by a mix of further climbs and descents that demand utmost focus and stamina. The decisive section awaits the riders in the second half of the stage as they reach the South Tyrolean town of Sterzing. Here, a 16-kilometer circuit, which must be completed twice, takes them through the region. The course begins with a four-kilometer climb to Obertelfes (average gradient: 7%, with sections exceeding double digits), followed by a technically demanding descent. The final kilometers will be extremely fast-paced: after several large roundabouts, the last 500 meters lead to a slightly uphill, cobbled straightaway that finishes in the heart of Sterzing – a perfect stage for a dramatic finale! The next day, the peloton will continue to Innichen, where the third stage of the Tour begins.

At the organic farm Gogerer you can visit the cows and chickens in the barn and on the pasture together with the farmer's wife Margareth. How does the milk get from the grass into the glass? An experience for young and old. You can be with the animals, stroke and feed them - you can be there too! At the end you have the opportunity to taste some products such as milk and organic yoghurt.

Climbing is fun, not only for the children! On the climbing wall we train strength and agility in a completely playful way. But we also experience community and learn what it means to act in a self-determined way. By exposing ourselves to calculable risks, we experience success and failure and learn how to deal with them. The course is aimed at children from the age of 8 and adults. Note: Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent!

The tour starts at the Ratschings valley station in front of the Rent and Go bike rental. We follow the Pfeifer Huisele path along country lanes and forest roads towards the Klammalm. From here onwards, the technical riders are in their element. The trail towards Wumblsalm has it all. This is followed by a short descent across meadows before a partly challenging section leads to the highest point of the tour, the Wasserfalleralm. Here we enjoy a long break with good food. Strengthened, we follow a fantastic panoramic trail to the Rinneralm. The last few kilometers are downhill on the toboggan run back to the starting point. Registration only from the age of 15.

During the treasure hunt in the great outdoors, we learn all kinds of interesting facts about the different breeds of cows in South Tyrol, why a cow produces milk and how butter used to be made. As we continue our walk to the Kneipp area, we go in hunt of dairy products and finally get to shake and taste butter ourselves. Who can solve the exciting quizzes and follow the trail of the treasure hunt? We then visit the animals on the farm and finish with a delicious yogurt ice cream.

The starting point is Flading in the Ratschingstal valley. Our route takes us up to the Gleckalm (not cultivated) via trail no. 30. The route alternates between flatter and steeper sections, which makes the hike particularly varied. The landscape presents itself in all its diversity and beauty. Once we have reached the Gleckalm plateau, we continue on our way to the Glecksee lake. The way back is mostly along the same path, but there is the option of organizing an alternative downhill version via the Klammalm. Total distance: 10.6 km (5.5 km to Glecksee) Total duration: 6.5 hours Difference in altitude: 950 m Difficulty: difficult - sure-footedness is required, a good level of fitness is essential and prior training is recommended. Participation for children from 12 years!

The guided e-bike tour starts at the Rent and Go bike rental at the Ratschings valley station. We start with a group game and playfully learn the most important riding safety tips. Afterwards we drive together along the Pfeifer Huisele path to Flading to the barefoot path with Kneipp facility. There we have a little refreshment at the witches' fountain. Fun balancing exercises await us before we head back to the starting point. The tour is fun for adults and children from 6 years (only with driving experience). On request, a child seat for children up to 20 kg or a bicycle trailer for max. 2 children up to 5 years can be reserved. The e-bike tour is accompanied by a trained South Tyrolean bike guide.

The Jaufental is an extraordinary valley of nature's tranquillity, and it is precisely here that we seduce you and your family and show you wonderful natural places. We experience the element of water at the Gurgl waterfall and while treading water at the mountain pasture, where we stop for refreshments. We discover various herbs, trees and alpine flowers along the way. Suitable for families and children aged 5 and over. Not suitable for baby carriages!

From the Provincial Mining Museum in Maiern/Ridnaun, trail no. 9 takes us on a relaxed, leisurely hike to the entrance of the wild Burkhardklamm gorge. At the waterfall, we breathe in the finely atomized aerosol of the Fernerbach stream, and the invigorating effect of these healing drops is immediately noticeable. You will experience the health-promoting effect that our scientific study at the Paracelsus Salzburg Private University has shown. We find peace and relaxation by becoming aware of nature with all our senses. With Kneipp treatments, we also let the calming power of the forest work its magic on us on the way back.

We start in Maiern in front of the Rent and Go bike rental in the direction of Bergl, go past the birthplace of the Ridnaun giantess and on to the Martalm. From there we cycle along the forest road to the Gewingesalm. After a little refreshment continue to cycle to Entholz and along the Erzweg back to the starting point.
